I was wondering about the accuracy of the takeoff trim settings recommended via the FMC. I tried to do it by the book, but found that at Vr the plane would not lift off, suggesting that the trim I set wasn't the correct one.any suggestions? something I overlooked?ricardo

PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME.I AM AT THE END OF MY ROPE WITH THIS ONE. I RECENTLY UPGRADED TO A P4-3.4Ghz ON ASUS P5P800 MOTHERBOARD WHICH HAS ON BOARD SOUND USING SOUNDMAX SOUND SOFTWARE.NOW I CANNOT GET ATC/PILOT VOICE SOUND ON MY PMDG A/C BUT CAN ON ALL DEFAULT A/C. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING INCLUDING CHECKING LATEST DRIVERS, REINSTALLING THEM ALSO CODECS. I HAVE TRIED DELETING THE CONFIG FILE. IHAVE TRIED LOADING DEFAULT A/C, CHECKING MASTER BATTERY & MASTER AVIONICS SWITCHES ON THEN SWITCHING PLANES TO PMGG 737. THIS ONE WORKS FOR A FEW MESSAGES THEN SILENCE.I HAVE SEEN ON THIS FORUM THE SUGGESTION TO GO TO WINDOWS SETUP > MULIMEDIA AND INSTALL AUDIO COMPRESSION.…

Hy all,I still have the same sound problem with my PMDG 737 series!! Every time I go outside (spot view) or I go to the menu of fs9 or I go in "slew" or "pause"...the sound changes!!! I have all updates of PMDG 737 (I have version 1.3 of 737-600/700 and version 1.1 of 737-800/900) so I have every update, so it's not due to an older version of the 737! What I mean is everytime the sound of the cockpit (and also outside) has to stop due to an action (gooing to the menu, going to windows desktop, press pause or going in "slew"...) it changes to a very irritating sound!! Just like there are turboprops! So you hear the Engines and the wind but in the Engine sound, there is a t…

Hello PMDG wizards,I encountered a small problem.after FS9 startup I select default flight with the 172. I then select PMDG 737-8. the panel starts loading nicely and then a screen appears that says it's loading navdata and aiports and the also the thrust reversers are working continuously but my throttle is at idle. I have to press the F1 key to stop the reversers. It happens every time a load up the panel. ??????i have a registered FUIPC copy.Anyone a solution for this ?greetings

Hi guys, here I am again, getting my butt whipped by the NG. Just kidding, but a new problem arose yesterday and I couldn't fix it. I decided to change the 737-700's weight in the load manager for a heavy takeoff. I then started FS2002 and when I got the aircraft up and running, realized with the spot-view that the nose wheel was sunk on the ground (about half of the tires were below ground-level). At first I thought it was no biggy but then as I initialized my FMC and entered the weight data, it calculated a c.g of -58%! During the takeoff run I got a PMDG message saying that my cg was off and the aircraft would not takeoff. Needless to say, the aircraft did not rotate a…

I posted this in the Active Sky forum but somebody suggested it might be more benificial here......I am using AS2004 with FSBuild ver 2.2.The fuel loader program for PMDG 737 requires the average 'wind component' for the route to work out the required trip fuel (average headwind or tailwind). When a route is applied to AS2004 it works out an average wind speed and direction for the route flown (bottom of page) but this is not an average wind component. How do I find the average wind component please so I can feed this into the fuel calculation program.Glen Coyne

I must be constantly doing something wrong, can somebody please help. When descending from cruise altitude with VNAV engaged, I normally try to descend at Mach 0.76/280kts to FL100, but the FMS appears incapable of maintaining this speed. The speed normally drops to about 260kts or less with the speed bug on the speed strip demanding a higher speed. The speed mode annunciator (Left hand indication on the Autopilot/FD mode annunciator) remains at ARM and doesn't go green. I normally have to go to 'LVL CHG' until the speed settles down, then back to VNAV.The FMS autothrottle maintains cruise speed perfectly then descends at TOD but fails to hold the descent speed as comma…

Hey all, first off I would like to estend my thanks to the PMDG for being so helpful in answering all questions regarding their product. Next I would like to bombard you guys with a few more.I'm having a little trouble in the takeoff procedure. Before takeoff I have been doing the following: arm f/d, arm autothrottle, arm Lnav, advance thrusters to 40%N1 and press TOGA. I rotate normally and the problem lies in the fact that the aircraft is reaching and exceeding V2+10 way too quickly, usually before I get to 200-300'AGL. To maintain V2+10 I would have to use way too much pitch. I would also like to know whether I should retract flaps from 5 to 1 (assuming a flaps 5 takeo…

Hello,Two questions:1) What numbers should I use for Cost Index.2) Where does this number come from?I know minimum is 0 and max is 500.500 = lots of fuel use (safe time)?0 = very economical (time no issue)? What is the 0-500 scale coming from?regardsTeeloo

I ran the installer to update 1.2 to 1.3 for the 737NG. It tells me that the PMDG 737NG.Gau is invalid version and did not update.I had confirmed 1.2.Any ideas??Thanks

1) Why they are delaying in such a way to launch the 747?2)He would not be ideal to inform a date of launching, exactly because I find that it would be a respect form before the users.Mauricio

Is it true that SWA does not use Autothrottle? Out of curiosity why is this. I have been flying some Southwest flights with the NG and I have been flying without the autothrottle. Another comment on the PMDG 737NG I usually handfly to cruising altitude and also on descent and landing. This plane is so smooth,I have never flown a 737 but if it this smooth IRL I can understand why it such a popular Airplane. Thanks for the Great Add-on I look forward to your next additions.

I'm using the 737NG in a lab setting to look at low cost commercial-off-the-shelf simulation tools for applications like time-dependent trajectories. One of the issues that comes up pretty often is the fidelity of the simulation to the real aircraft. While most of the FMC functions appear to be accurately modeled (but having RTA would have been nice), I'm interested in how close the FMC generated numbers are to the actual Smiths U10.4 logic, and whether the general performance on climb, cruise, and descent are close to book numbers. Thanks!
