Hello All- I have been having an intermittent problem. I know I must be doing something incorrectly, but I can't figure it out. I descend to approach alt and turn to GS intercept course. CMD1 is already selected, with HDG hold. I press APP. I am below the GS. As soon as the LOC becomes active, my bird starts climbing to meet the GS, rather than just flying into it from below. Airspeed bleeds off, and I get the stick shaker. Anyone else have this happen?

  2. What i did to save my flight was crossfeed and turn on center fuel pump and then start my engines is this the proper procedure?Next time am I supposed to kick in the center tank cross feed before reaching no fuel in the left and right tank?As sophisticated as the FMC is why did I get no warning about this not even insufficent fuel?P.s. I love the FMC just curious though!

I would like to practice some circuits in the 737-800.Is there any way to set up the FMS for circuit flying at an airfield, I am primarily refering to the FMS speed bug settings for both take off and landing.Secondly, I am able to manually select the V1 and VR bugs using the SPD REF select switch, but in flight the VREF bug will not change, it just stays at 80 ? Also the manual refers to BUG 5, what is this used for.Glen Coyne

Last week Alaska Airlines first 737-700 with the winglet mod, flew its first flight from SEA to MIA. Over the next year, all of Alaska's 700's will have winglets added as well. Can one of PMDG's paint shop boys add a winglet version of the AS -700 to your already great liveries section on the PMDG site? Thanks for your hard work! Here is a link for proof........http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=7510...%3D&photo_nr=16

Hello,Flaps of the PMDG737NG are not correctly visiually modeled... With 30 or 40degr flaps, the flaps are hanging over and in the exhaust of the 737 engines... On the real a/c, there is a small part of the flap (I believe it's the inboard flap) that remains above the exhaust flow splitting off from the rest. Please don't do that on the 747... as far as I know they are separated enough from the engines anyway (wild guess.. anyone?).I hope PMDG will answer this question like "Just wait and see what a nice 747 we are developing..."And therefor hoping, we won't burn the flaps on the 747 :-)Teeloo

It has been mentioned before that the PMDG 747 will perform better (in terms of frame rates) than the 737 package.Does this mean that the PMDG 744 will be better on system resources than the PSS A330/340?The reason I ask is that I can use the PMDG 737 package with hardly any dips in frame rates, but using the PSS A330/340 can hit the frame rates quite hard.Cheers,Ben

Hi, I've been practicing the beast with all the patches applied for a couple of days, and so far I've managed to go as far as taking off. :-)But - especially since english isn't my native language and the panel buttons don't show any kind of pop-up help - I'm facing a couple of issues:- Before doing anything, I check that the fuel load is at 100%. Yet, just after takeoff, I get an alert that my fuel level is low and I must press Ctrl+X - which actually gives nothing.- The a/t switch doesn't work.- I can't find the TO/GA button. Thanks for your help.

Boeing I guess has chosen to do away with the eyebrow windows on the 737NG. They say with todays nav capablities they are not needed anymore. Here is a link for the pic of the very first one without the windows:http://www.boeing.com/news/releases/2005/p...pr_050126h.html

There was a short thread on this at an earlier date, but no resolution that I can find.Whenever I load up the 737 on top of the default 172, the thrust reversers are engaged. As far as I know or can tell, nothing about the default 172 would cause this. Any ideas out there? This has only happened since I reinstalled the 737 after a drive format after I installed MSFS and patched it up.Would there be anything in the .cfg files for PMDG that can be causing?Thanks-

Dear Mr Randazzo,I bought this manual from PMDG several years ago (quite pricy at that time) to make full use of my PS1. Although this comprehensive manual was designed for Aerowing PS 1.3 747, may I suggest you issue an update when you release the PMDG 747 so as to adapt any part of it that would be required to fit your own project. This would substantially reduce the cost of reprinting a manual from scratch (in some cases this almost double the price of the software), and given the fact that most of the manual is about flight operation anyhow it would -should- not be drastically different from your own model. In short a simple PMDG 747 update would suffice for all owner…

  20. HI guys i'm planning a long flight and would like to know the maximum distance of the 737 6-7-8-9 series as per the manual its 5000 NM which would be between 57 000 and 62 000 lbs of fuel and maximum 12 hours long is this corret? It just seems impossible but thats why i'm asking. These aircraft seem to be used in short haul flights in my area anyway. Also is rate 2x ok for pmdg?

Hello, I have used fsupic.ini to make keys to open the main exit and the rear exit and cargo doors. However, I can't get the doors on the other side of the fuselage to open. The aircraft file shows the number of exist as 4. Is this included the cargo doors? I'd suspect that to open doors would just be shift+e 1 for the main exit, shift+e 2 for the other door, and then shift+e 3 for the third and shift+e 4 for the forth one. Those key combinations don't work for me. Are all 4 doors able to be open?

I was wondering being a noob and all, if the A/C was suddenly hit by a gust of wind on final approach would the AP disengage ? The only reason why i ask is that on approach to EGPH the other day i was locked onto the localiser and everything looked good, then suddenly the aircraft lurched to the right, the VOR LOC and the CMD B disengaged and the bird made a hasty climb to 3000 AGL.I have only been flying this plane for around a week and i have only managed to do one complete autoland in the tutorial trip. When i come in on the ILS during the final turn i hit VOR lock and the bird turns towards the runway and i always find that i am below the glide slope, so i push the V/…

It is typically a fairly slow speed, and is most useful for taking off over obstacles like trees.Vy the airspeed that provides the best rate of climb (highest altitude in least time).
