I have noticed some differences between the 737 6/7 -> 8/900. Maybe somebody can shed light on few things:a) The FMC shows sometimes an A behind the altitude on the leg page. I have never noticed this in the 6/700 version. In the 8/900 it shows something like 5000A. What is the A for?:( When I use RTO (brakes), in the past after the take-off the switch automatically switched back to neutral. In the new version it remains RTO. Bug of feature?c) During the desc phase I get an air cond warning (off shed descent). What do I need to do? I never had this in the past.d) When I switch the center fuel pumps off, I do not get the "low pressure" warnings (lights) anymore (Overhea…

Hi guys,Since the upcoming 747-400 is going to be a magnificent achievement in functionality and specification, it is almost inevitable that once PMDG announces the specification, there is going to be a massive overload of information to take in for all us wannabe 747 captains!!My suggestion is, when PMDG is ready to announce the spec, that they stagger the release of specification information over a period of days/weeks to allow all the good things you guys have been working on to sink in properly and for those who have contributed to be truely admired for their hard work.For example just the TCAS functionality spec for the 737-800/900 kept me massively content for month…

Hi, I just downloaded the latest push back gauge from Mr. Martin (version 1.3.6 and the hotfix). I tried to install the gauge according to the instructions I found in this forum. However, all I get is the toggle icon on the centre post, but nothing happens when I click it. I don't know if anyone else has had an issue with this, but I have some add-on scenery that I installed (for Nashville, KBNA). It installs fine and I can use other aircraft fine with it. I go to my 737NG (Southwest Spirit Livery) and from the default flight, cold and dark cockpit, as soon as I hit the ground power switch, nothing happens. I remove the scenery and use the default KBNA scenery - everything is fine. Go to other add-on scenery such as KFLL, everything is fine - it just seems to be certain add-on scenery. Anyone else had this happen or offer any opinions?

After completely shutting down the aircraft, (including battery) I can still hear the radio. In other aircraft the radio shuts off when the battery is turned off. Checked the radio for switches but do not see anything. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?Thanks,Joe

Hi,I am writing the SID/STAR of Rennes airport (LFRN) and I was wondering if usualy VOR/DME approach (or LLZ for example) are selectable in the FMS or is there only ILS approach.Do pilots fly such approach with the charts only or can they use LNAV to fly most part of it.If that is the case, how a VOR/DME approach appears on the FMS (how for example appears the VOR/DME 28 on the FMS (V/D 28 ?))?In a way I wish there is only ILS because I'll have a lot of work to do :) Best regards Manu

Hi all,I am wanting to use the 700/800 series as the BBJ's that can also be purchased. IN the load manager you are unable to change the ZFW to match that of the BBJ and thus are not able to fly those distances. IS this possible or will it require an update from PMDG?Chris

When I fly the 2d cockpit, i get the feeling of being seated to low.Then i changed the view values in panel.cfg-and came up with these values:VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=5.7, 0.0, 45VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=5.4, 0.0, 90VIEW_LEFT_DIR=10.6, 0.0, 270VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=9.7, 0.0, 315And they work great for me, its a whole new feeling and experience-The thing is that i fly with 0.68 zoom, and i want to make the zoom permanent!! Hi guys,Sorry if this has been addressed previosuly. I have had the 737/6/7/8/9 package sicne their release, but I havnt been using it for ages due to problems with my PC. Can someone remind me, is the dome light and and lower EICAS only a function of the 800/900 package? Or is there a service update which amends this to the 600/700 also. I tried searching the documentation and this site for an answer, I couldn't find a clear one.How do you program a transition from Descent to Approach on the FMC without using STARs?I'm trying to enter a flight on the FMC and preselect a RWY with an ILS approach but I guess there should be some lateral transition entered so that the aircraft can break off the direct routing to the airport and commence vector-like intercept for the ILS. Is it possible to do that, or do we have to always put in a STAR?If anyone can point me to a detailed explanation of programming and executing an approach from the FMC would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance,Rob

I have no idea what I've done (other than install the TrackIR Vector Enhancement) but none of my PDG 737NG aircraft will work. Sometimes I get a 'beep' when I try to select an aircraft, other times it locks FS2004! Oh the only other thing I did was delete FSUPIC.DLL because it gave a long error message and crashed FS2004 before it started (but I have no use for it anyway).The screenshot of task manager is attached. Can anyone help please?

Is there ANY way possible to reduce the sound of the spoiler when deployed in the air? Im really tired of having to turn down the speakers every time I have to use the spoilers to decend, simply because the sound level of them are way too loud. thanks,Eric T

Ok i have been using T. Metzinger's tutorial. I did the first flight with no problems because the first flight does not use The FMC. so on to the second tutorial flight. I did everything the tutorial said to do word by word there were some things that were diffrent on my screen than were in the book. But i guess thats because the tutorial was made a year ago and some things might have changed. Anyway the problem starts as im coming in for the approach. I belieave the second tutorial flight is an auto landing flight. The thing is i can not go any further into the tutorial untill i get this problem fixed and that means i cannot start flying my own flights. I have done this …

Everytime I start a flight, with any of the PMDG New Generation Boeings, I develop a problem just after V1, I get an engine failure, its always the right hand engine.All very nice if I want to hone my emergency procedures, but not so nice if I have just spent 20 minutes setting up the FMC, I've tried cancelling in the overhead menu, but even though I have'nt set an emergency,this one pops up.Has anyone any ideas, before I throw my monitor out of the window?John Hansen
