Hi all, I am looking to upgrade to a 19" LCD and i am not quite sure what sort i should get. Now i know that the 12ms-25ms response time is a main factor but what is good in terms of response time? Can someone please help me... And what is the real difference in performance FS9 wise in regards to AMD64 v P4? Please help meKind RegardsSteele AUstralia

Ciao to all....-I've the 737-600/700...how may I check the version???Maybe I need to update...-I've also the 737-800/900....but if I install it may I still use the 737-700 version???-If the FMS gives me only the rwy hdg and ILS freq 0.00 does this means that the airports hasn't got the ILS or that the FMS database hasn't got it???For instance at LGRP I see on FSNAV that there is an ILS for rwy 07 but the FMS gives me only the HDG 067 and freq 0.00.Anyhow I don't get to lock the ILS..!!!Only at 50 ft from touchdown..:((Please helpPaco

I just got the 737-800/900 and was reading and looking through the manual. I am probably missing something, but I cannot seem to find the engine start steps. The checklists in the normal procedures section mention before start and engine start, but then seem to go to after start. How about the actual start procedure? With the 600-700 I found detailed steps in Fred Clausen's tutorial. Thanks. Tom

Hi All, I hope this question doesn't put the cat amongst the pigeons but here goes.......I have read the excellent post on sids and stars but still there is no mention of a database for intersections..... If you fly using fsnav as your moving map and PSS airbus seris you can also navigate using the published intersections which appear far more frequently than NDB's and VOR's. However in the PMDG fmc you cannot input intersections as they arn't recognised!! Is this a simple databse update problem too or is it a boeing thing where intersections aren't used full stop!!!Your direction is appreciated.... I'm lost... not enough VOR's.:-)CheersDal

I am learning a lot from these forums lately, particularly in relation to the use of the autopilot. Unfortunately, with greater knowledge comes the potential for greater confusion(more sophisticated confusion, I like to think :-), or maybe I was too ignorant to be very confused before :-(). I think I had(maybe still have) a flawed understanding of automatic flight, which is perhaps a legacy of the autopilot in the default planes(nothing much like the real thing, I know). As a result, I am somewhat confused about how the various modes of the AFDS function with the Flight Director ONLY, and then with BOTH the Flight Director AND the Autopilot engaged.Here are a few (sample)…

I've used this frequently before without problems, but now on setting up loads and clicking SAVE, I get message "Are you sure you want to save loads" Yes then produces "Error saving Loads" Starting FS 2004 and selecting aircraft shows banner "Outside C of G limit, aircraft unflyable" I have not knowingly altered anything. Can anyone please help?Alan

Aloha,I am looking for VA airlines that use the 737/600-700 and the 1900D? I love flying these birds, and I am looking to expand my flying with possibly joining a VA. I flew with Westwind (they use the PMDG 737) years ago and have logged more hours than I should, but I love flying the new PMDG planes and am excited to expanding my log book! Mahalo Will

Hi,Got a bit of a problem.I downloaded the livery for SN Brussels for the 737-600 from your website this morning and installed it on my pc.Ever since installing it I cant get the V speeds to display in any of the FMC's for the 737's when I click them......All the information is present and correct in the FMC.This is the first time Iv'e ever had this problem and I'm wondering if the two could be connected,so I thought I'd uninstall the SN Brussels livery and see.Any Help would be thankfully recieved.Martin.

Hi allI realise this may be more of a FS9 question than anything specific to the PMDG 737/ B1900, of which I have both, but how do you get FS9 to keep the settings (if you can) of the size and positon of the various pop-up displays and panels? I find it a pain to have to reset these every time I load the aircraft for a flight.ThanksMalcolm

Hey PMDG,have you ever thought of getting your own Forum?Such as Invision Board, Simple Machines, or PhpBB?Honestly everyone I have talked to hate the Avsim forums and end up giving up asking for help because they can't even register. I also personally dislike the forum software.It would be kool if you had your own forum away from Avsim, It would be less confusing to view topics and post them aswell.

Hi all,This is my first messsage in this forum after months of reading and learning a lot from all of you.Yesterday I was showing the sim (737NG Series) to a retired 737-200 and DC-9 Captain. He was amazed with the high quality of the sim, in fact he is going to buy the software as he wants to update his knowledge of many of the systems he never used when he was active. He also pointed out the simplicity of the modern cockpits when compared with his old DC-9 full of switches everywhere.We spent 8 hours simulating different situations, profiles, etc,..the same he did in his training courses at Boeing headquarters long time ago.To make this story short, we found a situation…

I got a question...Can someone tell how to use the PMDG painting textures?I did some painting using Photoshop - on the textures named; pmdg_900_full_right and pmdg_900_full_left (downloaded from PMDG) only to check on other downloaded textures and see that all use the textures named; PMDG_800_FUSE_LEFT_T which are Targa textures.When I painted those texture files they dont allow for layers and transparency... granted I am not a painter...I beg anyones assistance...Thanks in advanceRegards,Ted Panamarioff - Kodiak, Alaska
