Whenever I use the 737/700 BA livery, the tail registration number always shows as PMDG even though I change it to a BA number. Anyone else found this orknow why please.

the one provided by MSFS or one coded by PMDG?I'm asking since I use the goflight GF-MCP hardware for AP functions but right now it only works really well with the MSFS autopilot (like the one you use in the 1900D). I'll of course buy it nevertheless but still curious!/Krister

Hi there,I'm new to this forum lark.Just a word of congratulation to PMDGI've been hooked on sims since an Atari 1040ST with 1MB ram was "state of the art"having used ATP / Pro Pilot / flight unlimited and MSFS in all its guises for yonks, I only ever flew the default aircraft that came with them.I purchased 737NG 600/700 in the uk last November.Hardly been off the PC since !!!!!It has taken it all to a new level for me.My wife would have divorced me for neglect by now if she wasn't a yoga teacher who enjoys spending endless hours in total peace and quiet, practicing her favourite yoga poses.JonboyW98 User (so no 800/900) for me, sob....:(

Hello everyone, Last night I returned home from a funeral for my sister, normally when I fly I do not go commercial but in order to ensure that all of my family members could make the trip I had to go commercial. On one leg of the trip I was in a 737/700 and after the flight I went up to the flight deck to check it out and speak with the pilots, the lady captain was very nice and started to point out the various sections of the overhead to me. I stopped her and told her what they where and she said "ok smart a$$ let's see what you've got" with a big smile on her face. They finished up their routines and the copilot left the plane so it was just her and I, I was given the …

Hi,I have no problem using the FMC and MCP up to the Initial Approach Fix (IAP) and usually to the Final Approach Fix (FAF). After the FAF the FMC/VNAV no longer controls the aircraft for the decent to the Decision Altitude (DA).How should the Legs page of the FMC be set up and when and what settings are entered into the MCP for a RNAV approach?A short flight from Tucson TUS to Phoenix PHX using the RNAV (GPS) RWY 26 Approach for Phoenix Sky Harbor Intl (PHX) for example.Set weather to clear.Selecting RNAV for runway 26 and the IWA transition prior to takeoff and entering the following in the legs pageIWA 170/6100EVXAF 160/4000YOKXO 150/3000Cruise at 16000 (short flig…

Hi all,I'm new here so, I'll introduce my self a littele bit.My name is Mathijs Slingerland and I live in the Netherlands (Europe) and I'm seventeen years old.My problem is that when I switch on the battery and busses, generators etc my screen displays a lot expect in the most left screen where you can see you climb and speed the grey strips that indicate your speed an altituse doesn't show up.Might I have missed an switch or something? The second question is how I toggle on the auto pilot for the selected altitude?I couldn't really find this in the manual.Best regards,Mathijs.

HI Folksjust a very quick question on LVL Change. I have been reading a lot on descent on this forum but I seem to have missed something. The question I have is at what V/S does the plane descend when you hit LVL Change. Is is always fix or does it follow certain guidelines and accomodates to follow speed restrictions or speed mode. In this last case I may miss an altitude restricion given by an ATC and need to revert to V/S command?ThksDiego

Hi all,Just got registered. I recently ordered the PMDG 737NG. I want to do a flight from KBHM to KDCA, which is from Birmingham International to Washington National Airport. But when I try to enter the SIDs information for KBHM, it says NONE. Let me explain everything I did:From the menu page, I hit the 1L LSK for FMC. This takes me to the INENT page. I then hit 6R LSK for the POS INIT page. I hit the 6R LSK and takes me to the RTE page. I enter the origin KBHM at 1L LSK and the DEST at 1R LSK. I hit the DEP/ARR button and this takes me to the DEP/ARR page. When I hit the 1L LSK which is DEP, to enter the SIDs, it takes me to the KBHM DEPARTURES page. At 1L LSK, it says …

One of my most regular flights with the 600/700 is Heathrow - Glasgow and return, mainly because its only an hour long. Trouble is, since I upgraded to FS2004, I no longer have any decent Glasgow airport scenery, because with FS2002 I used to use GB Airports (FS2000/2002 only).Anybody know of any plans for some decent Scottish scenery please ?

When you hand-fly an approach to TD tracking an ILS on the ND using the FD switched on, i.e., without using the CMD active, is the FD supposed to provide pitch and roll guidance for the ILS approach? I am unclear about whether or how the FD works in this regard. Appreciate clarification or guidance, thanks!Jonathan

Not sure who remembers this but I do.Quite a while back I asked about the lighting on the Tail of the aircraft, and PMDG Replied by saying that the Tail lighting cannot be controlled individually, it's an FS Limitation.Well, Level D and Myself must have different versions of FS9 than PMDG, because they did it just fine on the 767.Just thought I'd point that out to ya's.

Hi all,I am looking to expand my cockpit and buy project magenta for use with the PMDG.Is this possible? Has anyone at all done this and got it working somehow? The only problem I can see from an outside perspective is that what would u use for the overhead and other little bits that the PMDG has in its cockpit?Does anyone else have the joy of a PFD and ND on seperate screens etc somehow!??Your advice is much appreciated!RgdsMark P

I'm not sure if this is related to the PMDG737NG, but at about the time I started to use it I lost the ability to auto-log my flights. When I shut down I get the message that the logbook doesn't exist (when it does). I can log manually. Is this a PMDG rpoblem or a FS9 problem? Thanks,Gus White

Even my default planes go through more turbulence but yet the pmdg 737 doesn't shake at all besides gusts of wind.

in the last time a i have problem with aoutpilot. (one from two flight)I have set up correctly all for take off (no takeoff beep). If i am airbone and turning autopilot ON, i climbing too much and aircraft loose speed -- to stall. (In MCP is speed V2 + 20 added by autopilot, flaps 5, gear closed, trim O.K. autothrottle on, FD on, all systems without any warning). In FMC any changes in Climb pages. (Economy mode)I need autopilot turn off and in hand reduce climb profile.. and after probably 20 sec i can turn autopilot on.. and all is O.K.

Hi there, Has anyone had a problem getting a replacement link to download software? From what I can tell from this forum everyone has had good support. I am beginning to wonder if my e-mails have gone through to PMDG. I have sent 2 e-mails so far with no response as of yet and one was a week ago. I understand if there is a real world reason why. Please let me know if I should send them another e-mail. I love the product and would not need a replacement link if I had backed up the software like I should have. Any help is appreciated and I can provide my inital software purchase code if necessary.John Martin

Hi Captains! As we know that, the PMDG B1900D has the overhead panel just in "with VC" version. In the simply 2D panel version all the light swithces are placed to the lower midle and lower right corner. This size is not enough to show the gauges in good size for readout. I think. So, I made an optional overhead panel in 2D for this buttons/gauges. The photoreal base bitmap is extened by some graphical elements for look like a real panel not just a cutted image on the screen. All the light switches are integrated into the bitmap in good quality. With some minor changes the mainpanel has updated too (like the removed light switches). And it has a real throttle panel too with …

Hi, I am using Fs9 with the PMDG 737 NG series 600 already for a while with much pleasure. However after yesterday's upgrade withthe FS9 software upgrade from the microsoft site the whole aplication fails completly after an initial start. I got an error that the UICP version is not correct ( version 9.0 xx instead of version 9.0 yy ) after which the FS9 software tries to load without PMDG but fails with generating many other DLL errors and finally comes with an error message report to Microsoft with and excuse for the inconvenience for the user. All in all the flight simulator software does not work anymore after the upgrade. I have looked at the PMDG site for an bug repo…

Hello guys,_____________________________Question (1 / 2)it seems to me that the flare mode arms and works flawlessly after first:- activating APP- second autopilot (:(and- flying down the glidescope with acceptable airspeed. However I've had a couple of cases regarding slight overspeed just after intercepting the glidescope, resulting in automatic APP -> VOR mode change and autopilot B discon (the computer thinks we shouldn't land, in other words, and raises the nose :-). With some mad piloting (and mad passenger discomfort too) I've managed to get the airspeed down and the plane back on the glidescope, but without the flare mode armed, meaning the plane will touchdown.…
