I was told that the PMDG 737NG was one of the most complicated and realistic panels available for FlightSim.However, I seem to be able to start the engines with no fuel pumps on, and without any pneumatic pressure from the APU.Is there some way to change the realism settings that I am not aware of, or are these functions simply not modeled? I have searched all the manuals but have been unable to find anything that suggests I can change any type of realism settings. Thanks for your help.

I'm sure many are. Personally, I'm not interested. A Saab 340, or EMB-120 or Jetstream 31/41 would have been a good add-on to the commuter fleet. I'm more of a "systems" guy. When new commerical add-ons come out, I enjoy learning all the new systems and procedures. The 1900 is very close to the KingAir, so it didn't hold my interest too long. For well developed accurate large jets:A 737-200 and then 300/500 would be great too.A good commerical DC-10 hasn't been done yet. I think that would be a monster of a project.Aside from the 300, the Airbus Fleet is rather well developed. We have a DC/9 MD-80 and the RJ's ae out too.Not sure on the MD90/B717.Can't remember of the F70/F…

OK I have all the 737pmdg planes 600-900 am I missing the option to install different engine types? I guess im interested because i have watched real 737 video's and the engines I heard seem to have more of a whine type sound to them upon takeoff. I thought I read somewhere that you had to options for engines but I can't find it. thanks Shannon

Does anyone know if there is a utility to export PMDG format flight plans to FS9 formatted flight plans in order to load a PMDG flight plan in FS9 to make use of the ATC? Nothing more annoying than wanting to fly from an airport that is IFR with the PMDG B738, flight plan loaded into the FMC and ATC denying your request, because the airprot is IFR...Hope I am making sense? Thanks!

Dear all, with my PMDG 737, more than one time, I missed ILS path during an ILS approach to Milan Linate LIML 36R runway.During ILS approach, after having intercepted ILS Localizer and Glideslope with dual A/P engaged (CMD ON), when I reduce speed from 160 Knots to final landing speed (about 132 Knots) and pull out final flap configuration (30 degrees) the 737 misses the glideslope path.Andreahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

PMDG Support,I'm trying to add Master Warning, Master Caution, and Autofeather annunciators to my flightdeck. The lights will be LEDs and controlled by IFS Photon. I have looked for FSUIPC offsets in the FSUIPC SDK and within FSInterrograte with no luck. How do annunciator lights work within the B1900 panel. Is there an offset for the annunciators that is outside FSUIPC or are the lights hard coded within the B1900 panel? Thanks,Richard

Hi I notice that the standby power switch on the overhead panel of the B737-NG have only 2 positions "AUTO" and "OFF", but in the real aircraft this switch has 3 position "AUTO", "OFF" and "BAT" Why is the "BAT" position is not modelled in the PMDG 737.This also means for the Flight control A and B switch's on the overhead panel, this switch's has also 2 positions "ON" & "OFF" and the real aircraft has 3 positions "ON", "OFF" and "STBY RUD", why is the Standby Rudder position not modelled in the 737.GreetingsMark.

I bought a 17" flatscreen this weekend to finally do something I've been thinking about for a while - set up a multiple monitor "cockpit" with the instrument panel on a center flatscreen, the outside view on a large 21" crt, and a third monitor for engine instruments, radios, FMC, etc. Have to say, having finally put all the pieces together, that the PMDG completely rocks in this set-up. With the center panel in Zoom mode, the FMC on the third monitor, the eye movements and physical referencing of outside and inside felt very real, a lot like the 777 simulator in Denver. The set up also made it a lot easier to focus on the PFD becuase it was so prominent. Also, with the gre…

I was flying to KLAS and selected RWY 1L due to the winds. Normally I kinda avoid DME arc's but I figured I'd try it. Having read Bill Bulfer's "FMC User's Guide" I set a fix at LAS with a 14 nm arc at the 140 radial. I set the approach RWY as 1L. I was using the LUXOR2 for the approach and left BAMAA on a 203 heading. There was the green dotted circle with the dotted line along the 140 radial. I followed the circle and there was the white dotted line for the RWY heading. Made the turn onto the RWY heading and and landed no problem. Had I known it was this easy to fly a DME arc using this bird I would have been doing them all along.Ray

Dear PMDG !I would like to ask, if is possible for you to include a pushback Truck in your upcoming 747-400. I've just seen the new Posky 767 which has a great Pushback Truck included. Some may remember Fs Assist for Fs 2002 which had a great Pushback Truck. Since that time the topic Pushback Truck has been missing in FS.I think it would be a great tool for realism in FS2004 and make the Product nearly perfect. I think you will include a Pushback tool in your 747 anyways, as many developers, like Level-D, do so.Woudl be a very nice detail.ThanksChris

Check out this site for very interesting FAA videos for Parallel Runway Monitor (PRM) approaches.http://www.faa.gov/AVR/AFS/PRMtraining/Go to the PRM Training Videos. Several videos are there to download. I found the one for "Information for Air Carrier Pilots" interesting. This is advanced training but will also be helpful to any pilot using ILS approaches.Approach plates for the example in the video can be found athttp://avn.faa.gov/digital_tpp_search.asp?...lName=MinnesotaAnd entering MSP in the Airport Identifier box.

Help! I need assistance with a sound problem which seems to affect mostly the 7373NG. I'm getting a horrible loud buzzing crackling static sound which seems to be triggered by a change in view. If I start a flight at the gate inside the cockpit all seems well, If I then hit 'S' to go to an outside view the noise starts and usually will not clear. If I then select a default 737 with 3rd party sound files the noise continues but with a slightly different tone. But if I start with the default a/craft there is no problem. This has occurred since I had to format my HD and re-install Win XP. I thought it was being caused by one of the MS updates that I installed but I have now r…

  23. Hi folks.I experience follwing problem:On any ILS approach, just at about 500 ft ASL I switch off the autoland and handfly the bird down to the threshold. But just beforetouchdown I got a strange behaviour of the trim and the plane suddenly banks strongly to the right side and also drops heavily on sinkrate. I usually can manage to save the bird from crashing, but I think that there is something wrong. It happens with the 737-700 from PMDG as well as with the 767 from Flight one.I am also running Active Sky, Ultimate Traffic and FS Navigator.I have FSUPIC 3.47 installed (and already tried to fly with a cancelled FSUPI.ini file).Where is the bug? Anyone encountered the same…

Here's a heads up on removing Level-D:After requesting a refund, I followed the removal process diligently (as instructed) and as a result lost all my working installations for the Flight_1 Meridian, ATR, PFMG, Meridian, and UT. Interesting though, PFMG - which is not a Flight One product-, was the first to go down and needed a complete re-install. The loss appeared to be due to removing "any elements that are installed through any menus provided by the program you purchased" (the Level-d 767). In doing this, I simply followed the UN-install procedure, and removed the "elements' in the c:Flight One folder as directed and which were labelled appropriately. As a result,…
