Hi.....When I land the 737 700 I don't hear the landing sound or thud. This would give me an indication of how good my landing was. What am I doing wrong?Phil Samitt

Hello,Does anybody know a free software which gives METARs and the different winds in altitude ?That's to complete the Forecast page of the FMC when flying with Real Weather. Thanks in advance.

Simmerz,i was wondering if the PMDG 737-8/900 has some minor details like:when in cruise if ONE throttle is moved forward the other moves back to compensate for the gain of thrust, like the real 737.also, an IRS system, and on the radio panel, the AUTO/MANUAL switch which selects if the pilot manually controls the NAV-VOR/DME/NDB frequencys or if the FMC automatically tunes them as it updates its position, like the real thing. If it dosent come with these features, will there ever be some kind of upgrade or is there one already realesed which will install these features?CheersDaniel

Gents,i've had the 737 for a while now, and love it..it's provided many hours of fun and great replay.I am wondering what is the possibility of Robert & Company producing another heavy series, but this time based on Airbus ?We've seen 757, 777 from PMDG in some variant or the other, so an Airbus A330 would be fantastic.I know PSS Phoenix has one, and it's pretty good, because i've used it, but i think it would take PMDG to "refine" and produce a totally awesome Airbus package.Anyhow, just a thought.cheers~mike

For starters...i am not a ###### customer...i just cant seem to reach PMDG via email so i decided to do it via the forum and see what happens from here. now for my story:I had to format my hard drive a couple months after i purchased the 737NG and thus lost the download. To fix this I have sent PMDG a number of emails and i have them in my "sent items" folder. I have a copy of the 4 emails, 2 went to the "updateme" address and 2 went to the "support" address. in each email i included all of the information that was needed to activate my link again so i can download this aircraft.Thank you in advance!TaylorP.S. PLEASE UPDATE ME SOON...IM DYING TO GET MY HANDS BACK ON THIS …

I installed the new 800 900 and then downloaded British Airways. However FS9's ATC seems to not recognize Speedbird. I had the same problem with BA and Ready For Pushback's 747. I cured that with some forum help by going into the the 747's config file and changing Speedbird to Speed bird. Works fine now with the 747. I went to the 900's config file and they too had atc_airline_Speedbird and I changed it to Speed Bird....no help. PMDG also indicates they feel it has something to do with voice packs what ever they are.Any help would be appreciated.Raymond

After I installed this product I found the battery switch would not operate. Now this is a result I guess that I had 737-600 v1.2 the 737-800 had gone on ok and that had been updated to the latest version. BUT when I looked at the 737-600 I found it to be v1.2 and not 1.3, however when I try to upgrade it to the v1.3 I first got the dll is not the expected dll in the modules folder. I then deleted that (bad move I guess) and found now that I still cannot upgrade it because another txt file is missing. Any ideas what to try next. One thing with the PSS aircraft at least they can be got updated or even put back in a very few minutes. Wish PMDG were as good.If I do an "about…

Has anyone seen the view from the LDS767 during cruise? It has really great over the nose and side views. It feels like you're sitting up high.In the 737 VC, the dash is pretty much level with the horizon in cruise, and you can't really see too much. Is this accurate compared to the real PMDG737? If it is, fine. If it's not, what can I do other than "raising my seat"?Comments? Thanks,James

On all of the PMDG 737 models, the side window view starts out as full screen and in a short time the screen splits and the view is squeezed into the top half and the bottom half is black. Has anyone encountered this and is there a fix?

Well gents - I'm probably late. But this just in. Squawkbox has been released and can be downloaded from www.squawkbox.ca.Just installed it and tried it for a short session at the gate at CYYZ. The interaction with the NG TCAS/Transponder is neat. Nice smooth plane movements with 10-15 multiplayers within visible range.Installation for a two computer configuration is made very simple within the installer interface. You do have to perform an install on each computer.Run, don't walk, to get it!

Got a quick question. In the real airplane, with the autothrottle off, is it possible to engage the VNAV or LVL CHG modes? In the PMDG, the modes will engage, and I'm not sure if this is correct behavior.Of course the modes don't work "properly" - I just wonder if they're inhibited in real life, or if it's possible for the pilot to be the "human autothrottle" and set thrust accordingly and have the appropriate flight path result. The related question is whether these modes are EVER used in real life (i.e. Southwest) when the autothrottles are disabled.I'm working on the chapter for flying "Southwest Style" and I'm advocating the following techniques, and wondering if they're…

Gents,Anyone have a clue when Tim Metzinger is planning to release the [pay]-ware of his excellent tutorial for PMDG 737 ?It was fantastic and eagerly anticipating v3.cheers~mike

I think I've seen this 'problem' before. It happens on FS9 startup with PMDG also. It isn't a huge problem - a little more annoying with Squawkbox3 as you can't get to all the boxes very well.

I am having problems maintaining a positive climb speed above FL280, for some odd reason it is darn near impossible to reach altitudes above FL330. If anyone has any advice on how to avoid this problem it would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot...

Hi everybody out there!Befor start and takeoff I setup my main panel as indicated in the checklists for the PMDG 737 NG. On the MCP the altitude is often set to a local value, typically about 3000 feets. That's what I'm told in the different tutorials I have tried to fly. Is there any "rule" for setting this local altitude? Why not just put in the cruise altitude before take-off?Lars

I have been experiencing problems using an FS9 addon called MovingMap which is supposed to be able to display sectionals, TAC's, and other maps in the default FS9 kneeboard. I have a problem with a blank display when using MovingMap with the PMDG verson I use-the 737-800 generally in VC mode. All of my other add-ons as well as the default airpanes do not have this issue. I am asking this question here because it seems this problem may be related to certain payware aircraft only (including the PMDG 737 airplanes.) I am aware that the 737 may use the default GPS data differently than most add-ons and the default airplanes. For instance several high level payware airplanes d…

When I produce a Flight Plan in FS Navigator am I safe in assuming that the altitudes noted against the waypoints in the final plan are the ones I should use?. I ask this question because:1. The Plan's altitudes seem to bear no relation to the cruise height I stipulated when building the Plan.2. Presumably these altitudes don't take mountain heights into account.3. After exporting the Plan to the FMC the altitudes differ from the original Plan.In short how can I make sure that the heights in the final FMC Flight Plan are right for that particular flight?Cliff

Hi all,I was wanting to paint an aircraft, which I have successfully, But im having trouble with the tail. The painting on the tail flows onto the fuselage. Does anybody have a blank PMDG with the tail attached to the fuselage?ThanksJonathan

HiI did a clean install of Flight Sim 2004 (9.1) on my new PC.The only thing installed besides MS FLightSim is PMDG 737 800/900.When I launch FlightSim with a default MS 737 I have about 25 fps (tried Seattle, Gatwick, Heathrow)The I load PMDG 737 (doesn't matter wich one, I tried 2d only, and all the others). The moment the 2d cockpit loads the frame rate goes down to 0-4 fpm and the computer becomes very sluggish. IE when I press a button/switch there is a short delay.I was using a Nvidia 6800GTO and switched to my older 6600 with no difference.I'm using 71.84 video drivers. I cleaned them out and went back to 66.93. No difference.I have 3GB RAM so I removed 1GB down to…

Hello guys, I just wanted to ask the PMDG staf if it were possible to update PMDG so it can be able to change the colors of the background gauges as the real airliners do from time to time. Namely the background gauges of the autopilot windows and the color of the PFD, ND and EICAS. Somehow I feel i am not explaining myself properly so In brief theres a number of pics on airliners.net that show 738 cocpits with a reddish or bluish color in the autopilot background gauges - I would like to know if PMDG could be updated to mimick this.thanx.Gideon
