Imagine this: V1 passed, Vr and V2... you are climbing out, and at 50ft you have ENG OUT. So what happens in such situation? Does that mean you are doomed? Is it somehow possible to get out of such situation? No matter what I tried, with 737 or A320, I can't get it to climb out. I put center tank to less fuel, say 70%.To add, I saw a video of A320 climbing out with engine out which happened just after Vr (basically I tried replicating the situation). Captain loaded 16tons of fuel, which was approx. what I had in both aircraft.Anyway, I'm puzzled.

Qustions concerning Standby Power has been asked in this forum before. After searching relevant threads about this issue I still have a few questions. As far as I understand the standby power system is armed when the Standby Power Switch is in the guarded AUTO position. The function of the Standby Power according to descriptions of the electrical system in 737NG (fx smartcockpit.com) is to "provide 115V AC and 28V DC to essential systems in the event of loss of all engine or APU-driven AC power" Starting with a cold and dark cockpit I have tried to switch ON the battery but omit to set the Standby Power switch in the guarded AUTO-position. Following the usual startup proce…

Hi, I know these planes are very different but I have just returned to my trusy 737 after a few flights in Level-d 767. I must say that the PMDG is so much smoother than the 767 and the loading times on views windows,v/c etc are much quicker. I just wanted to say that lol!!!!!PMDG : You got nothing to worry about Fellas.RegardsDavid BowenBAW157

Hello there fellow simmers! While I was browsing this extremely interesting website concerning the 737 series ( http://www.b737.org.uk/ ),and while I was in the "Ice & Rain Protection" section,I came up with a realy interesting idea:Is there any way to recreate visually the icing effect around the column between the two windshiels(see picture below)?Maybe it could be a gauge that, depending on the temperature and other weather data,it would show this effect, and even expand the icing depending on the how low the temp is.And of course, somehow this gauge might interact with the window heating system in the overhead.I do a lot of flights in Scandinavia and I would like to s…

Hi,I am using the 737 600/700 v1.3 product (which is bloody fantastic, I must say).I do however, have one (and only one!) problem with the FMC. According the the turorial, you should be able to enter custom waypoints directly into the scratchpad of the LEGS page, so that you can then insert them into the LEGS sequence. However, whenever I try to do this, I get a "Not in database" error. I don't believe that this is a problem with the format I am using for these fixes. I can insert the very same fixes into the FIX page. This works and gives me a custom FIX name (i.e. PDT01), which I can then insert into the LEGS page.1) Is it possible to insert custom fixes into the LEGS pa…

I thought I'd give it a try to this community:Remember the good old games in the past? Commodere64 games...Nowadays I call them "cartoon-games", because back then, graphics where based on even colours. Grass evenly green, houseroofs evenly red.The good thing about that was the high graphics perfomance with a realatively low end PC leaving all the room for gameplay!!Frankly I wouldn't mind flying around in a 'cartoon' world. The games then where more developed for gameplay then graphics.I wish an alternate FS9 would come on the market with cartoon graphics and awsome gameplay.A game I now call: 744World by Enpire games :-) The game has this:- no 3rd party sofware addons, …

Hey guys:I was wondering if there a PMDG 737-700 in the Southwest orange/blue livery which has the winglets painted on "both" sides, the one I downloaded from this website is only painted on one side. Therefore, when you are in the cabin and look out the window over the wing you see an unpainted winglet. If I'm not mistaken Southwests orange/blue livery winglets are painted on both sides. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it so much. Thanks,Fletcher

Hi All;I am really doing well in learning PMDG 737 800/900 standalone. However, it is very fustrating to get through a major portion of start-up or FMC programming only to crash. My computer has been doing this for some time but it never really bothered me until I got PMDG 737. I have tried Latency re-setting and still the problem persist. I have three questions: 1)I have installed so many ATI VGA dirvers even I have lost count; would this make a difference in my proformance and CTD? 2)Is there a way to clear all ATI VGA driver remnace and reinstall the latest or best ATI video driver for FS9; if so, could I get someone to tell me how? 3)Are there any other suggestions…

  21. Dear Developers, as I am currently flying your fabulous rendition of the PMDG 737-800 from LEMD to EGSS, I happened to think about a feature that could increase stability/performance on any system out there:For most of us users remain in the cockpit during those high-workload periods (that is T/O, climb preparation, cruise phase entry, descent planning, descent, hold, approach, go-around, landing) it seems quite obvious that for these times we will need as much performance out of our systems that can be gained. As I have read all of your previous announcements concerning performance specifications for the Queen coming, I doubt that there might still be some users reportin…

A few questions in relation to the startup procedure.....1. Why is it that we want the SPAR VALVE and the ENG VALVE closed by setting the startlevers to cuttof?2. When I open the L PACK and R PACK blue signs are lit saying "RAM doors full open". I guess RAM doors must be some kind of valve opening when you turn on the PACK's - but what does RAM stand for (the acronym I mean)?RegardsLars
