Gidday all.Quick question about headings.I'm presently @ FL33 with a heading of 165 in the MCP. The wind indicator is saying 283/66, but my true heading is showing as 156.I'm flying with ATC, so have the HDG on and not LNAV.So, my questions are:1/ Why does the plane not take into account the wind and fly the heading in the MCP? Do I need to be doing something different??2/ Why does this happen when HDG is being used? - if I was using LNAV then this wouldn't be an issue.3/ Again this isn't an issue the the default 737, the plane tracks as per what's put in the HDG.I'm presuming this is part of 'as real as it gets', so keen to learn why 'real' means the plane flys 8 degrees…

When i start up with engine running i have no problem with A/T engaging. When i go thru start cold and dark procedures i have no problem with starting up engines however i cannot engage A/T the switch is fine but will not engage .Anyone out there have the solution to my problem.......regards kiwi pilot from down under;(

Hey PMDG,I've got a question about the cabin you guys are designing. Will it be possible to see the door opening from the inside & maybe some interactive no smoking and fasten seatbelt signs as well, or would that be expecting too much? (I won't ask for complete in-fligt movies in five different languages or 13 radio stations selectable in every arm-rest)(-: Greets,Jeroen

I have just installed the B737-900 which is superb. We love the plane, however my eyesight is not very good, and althought the panel is great I would love to have the three old CRT screens showing as per the B737-700 (preferably with the changes made to the 900 ie TCAS etc), so that I can see the screens in greater detail. Hi all,I've noticed that on the 737TNG, the 2500ft radio callout hardly ever sounds and that the rest of the callouts only sound on the first approach, on subsequent approaches (go arounds or multiple legs or circuits) they don't sound. Does anyone else have these 2 problems, why is it happening?Cheersrichard

Once again i get an error that my nav is not correct i must be missing a step here because my ILS nav 1 and 2 is correct matching the right nav freq that the fmc shows.So i manage to input this info and set up a dual ILS approach but somehow the app or vorloc button do not work. I also get an error written in yellow saying nav disagree. On one of my most recent flights, I ended up clicking something which i dont know what it was but i know it was in the FMC under legs page which then made my ILS needle slowly lign up on my screen where i initially had the yellow error of nav disagree, and then the aircraft tried intercepting itself, however it was to late because this was…

Some items on the normal checklists have an AS REQUIRED response. While this is understandable in the written version of the checklist(in order to cover different possible configurations), shouldn't the verbal response be to describe the ACTUAL position of the switches, etc? The AS REQUIRED response is vague and, I think, open to misinterpretation?BR,Frank

New Problem - and oddly enough - I'm getting this after no changes to hardware/software/drivers.Picked any one of the 737NG (600/700/800/900 - VC / NO VC etc..) - I see the small window loading the airports and navdata - then it crashes as it's about to load the cockpit.I updated the nav data to Dec23rd version and I have the same issue. So my guess is that I have a corrupt gauge somewhere. I say this because I can load the aircraft if I start with an outside view.Setup:FS2004 / GeForce 6800 GT w/ Foreware 71.20 drivers / 1gb DDR / P4 3.0I'm running the 1.3 version and 1.1 versions respectivley.Any help would be appreciated. As you can see from below, my computer specs are kinda outdated now and i am not too happy with the performance of the PMDG 737 in VC as there is still alot of slowness and jerkyness, so what would you recommend to get the PMDG flying fluidly?

Hi,I updated my PMDG with the newest SID's & STAR's, now at one time, it always give's an RITAX or an other error when I put in an departure or arrival airport, and it doesn't show any SID's or STAR's of any airport.What can be the fault?Greetz,

Hi,Have a very strange and frustrating problem I hope someone can help me solve. Can mention that I have reinstalled my whole PC but now when installing all programs over again the problem is back as well. But at least this time, I know exactly what's causing the problem but unfortunately not how to solve it.What happens is that after adding the PMDG keyboard assignments for MCP Increase Speed Fast (TAB+Q) and MCP Decrease Speed Fast (TAB+W) as stated in the documentation for FS2Crew, FS9 craches with a fatal error in a module called PMDG_737NG_Main.gau right after the progress bar for loading the flight reaches 100% and I only see the a/c main panel for a split second be…

I was having no problems with the PMDG 600-900 series until recently. Three things are now happenig and I cant pinpoint the cause to either FS9.1 patch or FSUPIC which I update regularly. Now I am using 3.44. First problem is the blank Autopilot panel. That has been reported by other Simmers too. I found that if I go to the overhead panel and turn panel lights on the problem disappears. The second problem which is also reported on this forum is the FMC error message and sounding Insufficient fuel although I plan more than is needed including the reserve. The third and most annyoing problem is that in the middle of the flight I get the warning sound Bank Angle and the plan…

I've updated the AIRAC and SID/STAR/IAP files for my PMDG 737 800/900. Assuming I've done this correctly, I've noticed that some of the SIDs are missing (LAXX5 at KLAX for example). If I get a clearance to depart via LAXX5 SID, do I try to approximate the departure by programming it in the FMC?Not really sure how to proceed when the SID you're cleared for isn't in the FMC database.Thanks in advance.Bruce Beattie

Fistable I have to advise you that I use the FSM only since few days.I have seen in Engine Warning Display that during that take off a green message "T/O" appear, during the climb appear "CLB", for the cruise "CRZ", but during the descend phase doesn't appear the green message "DES" but I read always "CRZ". Hi,I purchased the PMDG 737NG a few weeks ago, and have had some issues with FS9 crashing to the desktop. Over the last 2 weeks, i have installed FS9 update to 9.1, WinXP SP2, and a few other things. After removing the PMDG 737, my crash to desktop stopped happening, so i figured it was something with my install of PMDG. I downloaded the removal tool and tryed to reinstall PMDG 737, but the installer freezes up at the beginning of the install when trying to copy font files. I also tryed downloading the installer again and you have the updated one (Oct 12,2004) and that one freezes up on me also. I also have the latest FSUIPC installed as well.Any help would be greatly app…

I am having a problem with FS9's ATC sending me on wild goose chases rather than following the loaded flightplan and would be grateful for any advice.I do the following:Create flightplan using FS Navigtor and export it to FS2004 and PMDG 737NG. Program the flightplan into FMC and load it into FS2004. I then get IFR clearance from ATC but after take off, ATC seems to completely ignore the loaded flightplan and send me it's own way.I would really like to use both FMC/LNAV/VNAV and ATC but its this not really possible?PS. I have done a search on the forum for this topic but got no results. Guess I am not much good at the search function either.Thanks
