This is what a Singapore Airlines captain flying 747-400 with P&W engines had to say on another (non-English) forum on this subject:Engines in SIA 744 are PW. The noise in the cockpit is minimal, primarily heard on takeoff but even then it isn't much. Reference to the PMDG_A10.zip from Richard Stefan on the Navdata Site. I have downloaded it but there are no directions as to where you place the zip, can someone please direct me to the correct place please.

Hello,How can I set Mag instead of Trk on the ND?I know there is a carrot on the Mag when Trk is up, but as far as I know there should be a TRK/MAG switch somewhere, right?Teeloo

I am not able to see the virtual cabin in the 1900C. I have active camera, am able to traverse the cabin in my NG series, however I have nothing in the 1900. The only options I have are to load with or without a VC, nothing about a cabin and there is nothing behind the cockpit doors. Anyone have a similar proble or am I just a total idiot?

Hi all 1st post here so go easyI have reinstalled ver 1.3 and 800/900 and the service pack for that...I start a flight with the cessna then pick the 737 any version dosent matter cause the results are the same... The engines are going but there is no power to the MFD's etcIm using FSUIPC 3.48And the battery life is on 0 for unlimitedAny help would be grand thxs

hi allwith the impending release of 747, and alot of us doing long haul flights, in order for us to have other pilots fly with us why dont we start a thread here where we can plan the day / time / route of a place and make a few pilots who want to fly that route together?It be pretty cool to fly together say on vatsim and you can talk to each other and perhaps see each other crusing till your destination, what you think?

I just built my new computer and put on FS and PMDG to see how it runs (runs awsome btw) but I have a question about the VC. The overhead panel isint clickible, nor is the spoiler. The FMC, MCP, EFIS are...is that how its supposed to be? Also does anyone know of a step by step guide to setting reverse thrust ranges using a registered copy of FSUIPC?ThanksAndras

Please can anyone help ? I've tried this question in other posts but have not had any help yet. At first I just thought it was a problem with flights to and from Spain but now I notice it happens on all flights over about an hour long. At some stage approaching the TOD all my radios freeze and I am unable to change them. Even if I have preset my Nav radios to the right ILS frequency, the FMC says 'Nav Invalid'. I'm unable to roll and take off 737-800/900 at Vr speed. I've followed all the startup procedures in the cold and dark cockpit. Autothrottle works well and acceleration is accomplised on the runway. But I've noticed that PMDG 737-800/900 seems to take off from the runway only at speeds of 210 kts & above, and well beyond the runway length. Most often if there are obstacles at the end of the runway, I crash into them before taking off. I've tried flap settings upto 30 during takeoff (bizarre) and yet I'm never able to smoothly roll at Vr (143 kts). Whenever I try to open the "beech1900c_fullsides" file in the 1900C paint kit in PaintShop Pro, I get a message stating "An undefined error has occured - 565." My research indicates this is a problem having to do with my version of PSP (7 :( ) reads PSD files. Could some one be so kind as to save the "beech1900c_fullsides" in PSP format (preferably PSP7 just to be sure if said someone happens to have my obselete version on hand, but any version will do) and e-mail it to me? Is there anywhere else I can download the current AIRAC cycle since the navdata.at website is down? (for PMDG 737)Anybody knows when and if it's coming back up?

I got this panel lighting today: http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~stefan/fspix/funky.jpgIt's not really a problem, since the only way I could reproduce this is to shut the plane down and disconnect the battery while forgetting to turn the lights off, but the overhead panel gets funky in that situation. It goes back to normal and everything after messing with the lights, so the obvious fix is to turn the stupid lights off before turning the battery off, but is that normal for everyone else?? I'm just making sure that I am not the only one with this "problem" that may signify something else is awry with my install.Thanks!!-stefan

I don't want to violate the copy right's of you guys (PMDG) so I wanted to come and ask first.I do not have a printer and I had this great idea that I could put all the manuals on one CD and then go to a place like Kwick KopyAnd have them print it out and have it bound. I had went to a friends house and printed the 737 manual but I took all his paper (and thatsusing both sides) and I want to go get that bound. Wonder if anyone can help......I have just reloaded FS9 and PMDG etc after a fresh install of XP. Everything is working fine except one thing........when I add a new repaint of 800 or 900 model everything looks ok till i try and load a flightplan in the FMC then it loads crazy data ie not recognising the fuel level and saying max alt FL 456 etc and if I try and fly most of the autopilot features won't function.I use FS2Crew which is working fine on everything else anyone any ideas?ThanksStephen

Hello:Is there a way to change the colour of the ILS triangles and horizontal pitch lines in the primary flight display (PFD) in the 1900C? Which line is it in the .cfg file and what colour/number is black?I find it is hard to see them and black would be a better colour.Thanks
