The post count looks way down on the 737ng. I would assume that the new guy in town (767-300ER) has lured a few suitors away, myself included . . . for a while anyway. After a couple of months learning and flying the 767 (its a wonderful addon) I have returned to my first love - PMDG 737-600. After dusting it off a couple of days ago - taking it from Burbank to Las Vegas I realized this is the plane I'd rather fly. For me . . . PMDG is still the champ.The yet-to-be-released 747-400 will no doubt set new standards for FS but it may not be my cup of tea. The long haul is not my thing. I'm hoping someone might be able to tell me why i Carn't turn on the A/T arm switch? Every time i try, the alert light flashes. I have searched the forum without success. Thanks David

i did a flight from cyul to kstl..i programed a direct route with no waypoints..the magenta line was from airport to airport.at cruising altitude i engaged the nav switch to keep me on course automatically...about a third into the flight...a chime sounded...the magenta line dissapeared and the nav light went out..i did the same flight again and the same thing happened at the same spot..what in the world caused this?

Hi all,The problem I am having is this, upon capture of the needle (I am below the glideslope)the nose of the plane pitches up, then the glideslope needle goes way below me.I have tried it at different speeds, flap settings,and gear up or down.I take off with full fuel, then do a 15 mile curcuit, the try and land. Maybe to much fuel in tanks.I usually capture the LOC first so I am at a speed of 160, Flaps 20 (second notch) and then lower the landing gear, now I am ready to capture the gligeslope. I will be in ALT Sel mode and APP mode, then just before capture I remove the ALT Sel mode (I think I have to do this or the GS will not capture at all, it stays in ALT Sel mode)…

hi alli fly the 737 all the time, however when landing i always on autopilot all the way down to touchdown, like 100% how many of you do the same, or do you prefer to handfly her down to landings?

Hi all, I have been having problems with autolands. When setting up the aircraft during descent for an autoland procedure in an ILS equipped airport, I proceed in the following way: I tune both nav radios to the ils freq, press the vor/loc button on the MCP and the aircraft faithfully captures the localizer. I then proceed with flap extensions speeding down to vref etc and when the Glideslope becomes alive I'm all set up and I press app on the MCP and then press the second autopilot command button (i.e if I were using CMD A for loc capture and descent I press CMD B as well for full autoland). The aircraft then flawlessly performs an autoland (better than my manual landing…

I need help trying a cold start with the PMDG 737-600.1. I have tried to follow the instructions in the printed flight manual book on page 34. However, after I turn on the battery, I am unable to get the APU switch to turn to "Start", it snaps back. I cango no further, since next step is to turn on the two generators, which cannot be done without the APU being started. 2, In the flight tutorial by Fred Clausen, the start sequence is different from that of the PMDG flight manual. It refers to ..."turn off the left and right packs." What does left/right pack mean? Are these the switches above the APU Bleed on the right hand side of the panel?3. Has anyone printed det…

Many of you have praised PMDG' efforts but I have been trying to fly the aircraft according to the manuals for two months..No manual is the same as my aircraft's FMC...as an example: When I started on page 14 Preflight initialization process I ran into a number of problems. 1. Ident page OP PROGRAM 549849-011 INSTEAD OF PMDG NG AND NO SU2. (U10.4) IS THERE. 2. Page 8-17 Programming the route of the flight. ABOVE REVERSE I HAVE DATA LINK NO COMM 3. Upon completion of info on 8-18 (Incidentally I used your KIAD to KJFK too) I returned to RTE page 1 and on my screen . Hi,A)...can you just say where I can find in the PMDG-700 the knobs/switches to turn *on/off* the...1) Outer- and Middle Marker *displays* (blue flashing when flying over it on final approach)2)Outer- and Middle Marker sounds when flying above them...?I looked it up on the radio panel but did not find that on/off switches/knobs... B)I learned (years and years ago...lol!) that there is also an *Inner Marker beacon* at the threshold of a RWY. But in all the newer MS-Sims I never saw an (civil) airport with an Inner Marker installed.What is the reason for that or is the IM kind of "old fashioned" and has been displaced by "something new"?C) My English is not so pretty well s…

Any chance of adapting any of the current 737NG models with a flight profile of the BBJs? With the lighter passenger payloads there would be larger fuel loads for longer range. Now we have the standard payload throughout the different models.Richard Churchill

1. This is realistic behavior.2. Spoiler logic in FS9 is hopeless, so the behavior you see is what you're stuck with. You must use the mouse to arm/disarm the spoiler, and the / key extends them, and usually Shift-/ returns them to their previous position.3- the takeoff configuration warning horn sounds whenever the throttles are advanced past 40% and you're not properly configured for takeoff, with flaps set, spoilers down (not armed), and there are other items - check the docs. My guess is you have your spoilers armed on the ground.4. That button is for the lower MFD - if you select that option in the PMDG styles menu the buttons may have some use in the VC.5. Whe…

In spite of trying all of the suggestions offered her, my radios still freeze after about 1 1/2 hrs flight. I've deleted all my saved PMDG flights and completely uninstalled and reinstalled and still the radios freeze. I've made sure that the avionics switch on the default cessna is on before I select the 737 and the voltages on the overhead all look fine throughout my flights. After I land, if I shut down all of the electrics and restart , the radios are unfrozen. I think this may only have started after I downloaded FSUIPC version 3.48 - could this be the problem. Can I use an earlier (registered - free with Captain Speaking 2002) version of FSUIPC to see if that does…

Ever since I got the 800/900, the ILD freq written on the top left corner of the PFD seems to be "scratched off" by a horizontal line through the middle ... A/P Approach mode worked fine. Autoland did not work on KPVD Runway 23, but have not tried anywhere else ... I have been hand flying a lot these days.Anyone knows?- Neeraj

Hi,I have noticed that the PMDG -> Styles -> Sound menu -> "Battery/ Electric Ambiente Cockpit Sound" is very loud and rattling to me, so I had to switch it off.My question to those of you who visited a B737 cockpit for a longer time (e.g. on a jump seat etc.) or even flew it yourselves:Are the Electric Ambiente/ Battery (also Avionic?)sounds *in real life* really as loud/rattling* as they are simulated on the PMDG737? It must be terrible and annoying for pilots even under headphones...:)GreetingsSusan

Hi,just a quick question at this time: When changing the Radial for VOR 1 I`ve just to press "+" or "-" at the MCP`s *Course*-knob.But how do I change the Radial for VOR 2? I don`t see a second knob etc...I also tried to use the SHift, Control keys together with clicking on the Course-knob...but only the VOR 1 Radial changed.So can you just explain how to change the Radial for VOR 2 ?Many thanks! :)GreetingsSusan

Hii have a problem, i've downloaded few flight plan for the pmdg, i put into the fmc, but i can't figured out how much fuel need for the trip, and if i put 100% 0% 100% the fmc show only 6,2 thats the right?i put the zwf and the reserve and cost, and i get the message unbl crzWhat did i wrong?sorry for my english::}
