Is it possible to seperate the MCP and place it into an undockable window like the FMC?I just got a touch screen monitor and it would be nice to be able set the autopilot by hand. Thanks!

HiIs it possible to manually change the n1 mode from say GA to CRZ or CONT, this might be done in say the case of a go-around with a diversion to alternate field? Many thanksSteve

I posted yesterday that I was pleased with my CH quadrant - and I am - but I've got one glitch. In the PMDG (all models) the autobrakes no longer work on RTO and landing since I went to separate throttles for each engine and calibrated them for reversers as well.I've got a decent dead zone setup in fsuipc, so that the throttles are DEFINITELY at idle, not in reverse. But when rejecting a takeoff above 90 knots or when landing, I don't get the autobrakes any more.Has anyone else had a similar experience and did you find a solution?I'm not too worried - I'm much happier having throttles that I can yank back into reverse (and props I can feather on the 1900), but if there is…

Hello all. I've noticed something strange in the last couple of days and wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. Suddenly the numbers that are contained within the boxes above some of the guages have grown larger causing the last digit to be omitted. As an example, if the egt is 500, it is now displayed as 50 instead. Also, I am using the Southwest Airlines style display and the mach number is now displayed with only a single digit. IE: .78 now shows as .7 This may be something unrelated to the product but for some reason I haven't yet been able to figure it out. Thanks for any input.

I have a old copy of PMDG 737 version 1 and need to update it to version 1.3. Is there anything I can do to update it? Marc

Why are the installer files for the 737NG, first on the market,i.e. .....Next_Generation.W02,03 and 04, together with update 1.1 no longer available? I had to reinstall WIN XP and to make it worse, a new Sony DVD recorder with NERO software made one of my DVD disks, which had the above files, unreadible.I lost the 737-400/600 and the 1900C because of that rubbishy software. Changed back to my Pioneer DVD recorder and Roxio Easy Media Creator. I sent PMDG the necessary info a few days ago but so far no reply. It really is frustrating for me as I love flying the 800/900 series with Qantas colours. Please PMDG, if I have to pay 25% of the price so be it! Just get my beloved…

Folks, I have spent considerable time in configuring CH USB devices, Yoke, Pedals and Throttle Quadrant. Having read quite a lot on this prior, I guess I knew it was not going to be too easy. Well the configuration has turned out OK with just some fine tuning to do.However, and this is my real issue, somehow I have corrupted something in the start up during the process. When selecting an airplane and model and hit 'fly now', in 'cockpit' view, the panel is not displayed, only the inside of the cockpit roof or in the case of the 737NG, lovely blue sky. If you go to the views menu for 'cockpit' and look at 'view direction', I find the 'look back/up' view is locked…

I simulated a step climb to cruise just now but on several occasions during the ascent, I got CHECK MCP ALT annunciations in the FMC having levelled off at an altitude below the programmed FMC cruise alt. I fixed this by clicking the MCP ALT button and then could generally re-engage VNAV for a further step climb.I am not clear as to why this annunciation has occurred like this. Can anybody explain, please? Thanks!Jonathan

Hey all, heres a problem for ya.Okay the PMDG works great functionality wise, panel fine, all that. Except certain textures refuse to load now. I always had some texture probs, like popping in out etc. Now the fuse and engines don't load, and in the VC the main glareshield texture dosent. The throttle, radios do, just the glareshield. I tried reinstalling before when i had my everyso often problem, and now this is here.Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hi,I just flew a leg of about 550km with AP and FMC. At the FMC calculated T/D point the plane reduced to descend speed (280 IAS) and at first everything looked well. But after a while (the throttles were already at idle-position) the IAS (of course) increased more and more and suddenly there came the message..."Drag needed".So I extended flight-spoilers but even with them I was unable to achieve 270-280 IAS. Then after some more minutes there came the message on the FMC..."Unable to achieve descend path" (or so)From that point on I had to fly myself manually without FMC`s VNAF and the pre-calculated Descend path.My question: What did I wrong? It is not the first time with…

Good morning. Friday here in NZ, almost the weekend.....FS time!Anyway, just a few ( approach) questions if I may. Oh, 737-700NG if it's relevant.EFIS - has four settings: APP / VOR / MAP / PLANFor the approach, which setting should I be using, in usual circumstances? I tried APP last night, but got a yellow message along the lines of EFIS/NAV MODE DISAGREE.On the approach, should I be in APP? If APP stands for Approach, then I guess so..Less important, but still curious, why does the A/P have four buttons? CMD x 2 and the same below?Assuming I'm NOT wanting to Autoland, which should I be using?Look forward to some comments.CheersTimPS: Got the ITVV (?) DVD for my birthda…

Is it possible to have two seperate installations of the PMDG 737 on ones hard drive? Reason I ask is, I purchased FS2Crew for the PMDG 737 and I don't want to use it everytime I use the 737, so what I was thinking was make a copy of the one and rename the other installation, so I can have one altered PMDG with FS2Crew and the other as it came originally..ThanksGene

Hi,I just saw the landing video of that visual approach at Windhok, Kenia, that was aborted and missed approach performed afterwards (to be seen at the video):http://a330.net/--> Then Multimedia -> Video library-> A340 cockpit -> Landing and then the "Windhoek" approachThe first final approach there was aborted and a missed-approach performed.Could you just give me the reason why the pilot flying descided to perform that missed-approach (the reason to abort the first approach)? The pilots say something technical but I can`t understand what they say/mean and don`t see any "disturbing" traffic on the RWY or other reason for that maneuver etc...I would like to pr…

Hi,in the Videos at http://a330.net/ I listened to the voice of the Pilot non flying (PNF)during take-offs and landings:1) As it is simulated in the PMDG the PNF at Takeoffs says "80" (knots), then "Go!" and at last "Rotate".My questions:a) Does "Go!" means the same as "V1" or simply "1"? If yes, is it up to every pilot if he says "Go!" or "V1" or is it part of an "airline-philosophy/routine" or does that even differs from pilots in the US and in the EU? (I thought that there is kind of an ICAO-standard for that etc...):( After the command "Rotate" of the POF I miss the command "V2" or simply "2" for indicating V2-speed. So is it possible today to do a correct takeoff wit…

i cannot see it in the feature list - will PMDG include an ER model of its 744, and indeed, will it model each different engine varient (RR, GE, etc)

Bear with me as i am new the the FMC. Have completed the tute, but wanna FMC my own flights now. I am all good up until establishing the apporach for the FMC. For example:i make a flight plan via FS9 from Brisbane (YBBN) to Sydney (YSSY).When i attempt to add approaches for the specified runway it doesnt seem to match up and i end up flying in manually. What am i doing wrong??Can anyone enlighten me in adding approaches to my plans so that i can fly in via my FMC plan to lock onto the glidescope of the allocated runway?Cheers,Dave
