is there a way to look up or display airways in the NG?I'm curious as to what you'd do without a chart if ATC gave you a vector, then told you to join an airway and gave you essentially a new route starting from the airway.For example, let's pretend you're on a clearance that has you going BUF-J61-EMI then on from there to your destinatino. 10 miles short of Philipsburg, ATC says:At Philipsburg, fly heading 220, join J211 to EMI, rest of route unchanged.With a chart, it's easy to see that intercepting a 136 course to LEONI, then direct BUSTR, then direct EMI would be what you needed, and you could set it up in the LEGS page or the RTE page.But is there any way you could …

I have PMDG 737-600/700, version 1.3 and since few days ago I experienced problems I have no idea how to solve. Panel is not working properly, even I removed whole package and installed again for a few times. My upper panel looks half lightened as seen on attached pic. There is no ground power, logo, position, strobe, anti collision, wing and panel lights is inoperateable, and there is no way I can turn those knob switches in any position. What do I have to do to solve this problem and make my 737 fly again?GG

After several flight tests with the LD76 and update applied, I conclude that we have a first class ship there, especially with the awesome sounds now. The old ggrunt when selecting forward idle after landing is back. The ac does most of everything better now, but IMO the Pmdg 73 series still rule the roost in terms of absolute perfection and reliability. Just wait 'till they release that 744!

Today I have been getting an error message in the 737 FMC when I load the aircraft and before entering anything into the FMC. It says something like Error at XXXX: The XXXX is an intersection close to the runway the aircraft was on and I can't remember just which one it was right now. I am guessing and saying that the nav database is damaged so I have just updated the airac to the latest version. Hopefully that will put a stop to this problem. Any comments?David

Why is it when i do my pre flight checks the airspoilers will extend and retract ok .But when i am making an approach and require to slow down the air speed the spoilers extend ok but when i want them to retract nothing happens consequentily i am land ing with spoilers extended has any body else experience this problem...regards robin

About the only reason I have it installed on my machine is for Flight Simulator. However, I do know my way around well enough, so pretty much anything you tell me I should be able to figure out.So I had 1GB of RAM, and noticed a lot of swapping, especially in heavy AI areas (I use all the PAI packages) while using the 737NG. Along with Active Sky, I have UT Canada/Alaska and the FSGenesis meshes as well, so I can see why it's sucking a bunch of RAM. Just bought the PMDG 737 800 / 900, downloaded the latest Airac & SID / STAR databases, somewhat horrified to discover that there are no SID / STAR for my local Airport - Manchester / EGCC. After all, it's only the second busiest airport in the UK!!! I just flew the PMDG 736 from KSEA to KSFO via a long windy Pacific NW routing that took 3+ hours. Man, what a trip! I had most sliders set to 100% except only 100nm vis and 70 nm clouds and the FS Fair Wx theme. I used FSUIPC to create random cirrus which were breathtaking with my X850XT PE card. FSnav 4.6 was my faithful moving map.I programmed only the FMC PERF INIT, and N1 pages, and then hand flew in step climb up to FL390 and had a blast. I used the FD, and also used the AP for stabilizing at intermediate levels, then LVLCH for further hand fly upwards, AP again, and occasionally deliberately kicked the Pitch or Roll to get into CWS for training purposes. When I go to install the -800/-900 update the Installer show it is installing v1.3When I go to aircraft.cfg it shows the current version as being v1.0?Any thoughts? I cannot restart using FS2Crew until I get the update done. I'm just kinda lost.I know that the folks at PMDG are busy with the B744 and I'll take that as why I haven't gotten a return email from them (no dirty laundry here).Proud supporter of PMDG!

Hiya everyone,I have just bought PMDG 737-600/700 for my computer. I love the aircraft and the liviries are superb!!! I just can't wait to get to the tope of the learning curve!Anyway, i attempted to do the introductory flight, however, after i had took off, i pressed autopilot, LNAV + VNAV and then waited for my aircraft to follow the route. I tried this flight several times, following the instructions correctly but the aircraft did not follow the route + it also climbed past 10,000 feet.Am i doing something wrong? Hello there i would like to ask what may be a silly question but how do you test the rudder operation whilst taxing.I have CH Products Pro Pedals and when i use the rudder on the ground i obviously have ground steering...I want to do what the real pilots do and that is whilst taxing out to the runway check my rudder without it steering the plane is this possible?Kind Regards Paul

As many know Great Lakes Airlines fly's into a lot of the smaller and often harder to reach resorts and towns in the Rocky Mountains as well as Iowa and the other states they serve.They have somthing like 32 1900D Beechcraft and about 6 EMB T=props. I saw on the file Library here that someone re-painted a model 1900D in the "Fly Telluride" and "Grand Teton" themes. Hello, I bought the PMDG 737-6/700 a while ago, and it has worked fine up to this point. For some reason, I press the AutoThrottle hold switch and it won't turn on! I've got a problem with the virtual cockpit on the 6oo and 700. When I switch from the 2D cockpit to the VC, it appears to be a mixture of both. Meaning the 2D cockpit appears to be overlayed on top of the VC.How can I fix this without having to reinstall? I also have the 800 and 900 versions that are working fine.Thanks for any help!

Each time I load a saved flightplan and modify it and then re-save it, it is saved as if it were another or new flightplan. The FMC just allocates the next number up in sequence and adds the flightplan to the existing flightplan database. Today I made a flightplan EGLL-LIRF and saved it; then I modified it and re-saved it, and now I have two FMC flightplans for the route. I actually wanted to just re-save the modified flightplan and have that one plan in the FMC data base.Is it supposed to work this? Am I doing something wrong or not doing something at all?Appreciate advice, thanks!Jonathan

Well for the last three days I've been troubleshooting why my PMDG737ng would have all kinds of heading/course deviations including VOR, INT & Rnwys. I had just re-installed my 737ng and installed the latest Navdata AIRAC (0504) and AIO SID/STAR package. Then I started seeing massive deviations from course during flight. I thought at first it was an error in the crosswind calculation and then I started lining up scnenery and the PMDG display and nothing was matching. Sitting at the end of any runway in the US, my heading would be exactly what the scenery called for (i.e, rwy 26 = 260 deg) but the runway course plotted in the PMDG display was off by some 5 to 40 d…

Hello everybody,I wonder if anyone had this problem:Just purchased the 737NG (yesterday), downloaded it (no problem) but..when I try to extract the executable file (pmdg_737_the_next_generation_v1-3.exe) I get this error in Winzip :"bad CRC 810d847b (should be b835d098)"I have tried to download the file 3 times, always with the same result.In my opinion it seems that the compressed file is not the correct size that it should be, when it is extracted.I'm using Windows 2000 Sp4 and Winzip 7.0 sr1.I have sent a message to customer support and waiting for an answer, still I thought that I might try for some help on the forum (hope this is the right place).Thanks for any help …

My only glitch with the NG and my PC system is as follows:When I undock the FMC in the NG and drag it to a second monitor, what often (but not always!) happens is that the mouse pointer starts to flicker and alternate between a pointer arrow and the egg-timer processor. It does this the instant the image of the FMC appears on Monitor 2 while being dragged from the primary monitor.If I drag the FMC back to the primary monitor when this flickering commences, the flickering effect stops and all is normal on the primary monitor. But if I leave the FMC on the secondary monitor, the flickering goes on for about 1-2 mins and then I get a CTD.I use Windowed mode on the primary …
