Hi, I purchased the 737 600/800 and 1900... I love it... I am having some problems with a possible virus and I am looking at reformatting my hard drive. Problem is I can't find the original zip download files from when I purchased the aircraft. How can I save my planes and use them again after reformatting my hard drive? Should I try to burn & save the original down load files next time? Save the aircraft folders from fs9? Mahalo, Will

Hello I would like some info if you may please..After great takeoff and a smooth cruise i was asked to drop from FL330 to FL190 but when i dialled in 19000 on the ALT Window and pressed Flight level change the plane did not start to descend....i could not even press the ALT button to see if that would make it start to descend..one thing i did which i have never done before when i was in cruise(i was getting to a quiet point of the flight and i was kinda bored)i played around with the DES window in the FMC (which i am not fully confident with just yet but im kinda getting there) and i changed something like the PATH and then SPEED...Then pressed FTA (i think that is what i…

OK - please don't flame me, but can someone please point me at the appropriate manual to read to answer this question?I've got the FMC working fine - I got the a/p engaged after take off and all is working tickety-boo - then ATC says (whilst I'm part way through the SID) to fly direct to such and such waypoint passing at such and such altitude (usually the w/p at the end of the SID). I just can't figure how to do this and then pick up the flightplan in the FMC because I've had to resort to flying the aircraft manually when I try to return to the flightplan, because I've passed various waypoints etc. Similarly when I am approaching an airport and I get a course change to…

Last week I posted a message highlighting the problems I had contacting [email protected]. Robert Randazzo replied and I replied twice to him in that thread since then to no avail. I also sent a copy to him of the email that I sent to [email protected], as both a private message, and an email (using the email user function of the forum).I have also sent emails to [email protected] and today I sent emails to both updateme and support via my pipex email address (aqqi00 at dsl dot pipex dot com).Given that I am not a thief and the tone of Mr. Randazzo's reply had me feeling as if I had somehow gotten the PMDG NG series for free, when in fa…

Hello all. It seems as though I have come upon a problem that I can't solve, and I haven't been able to find anything about it in the forum. It seems as though when running through the cockpit acceptance checklist, if I test the fire warning systems BEFORE turning on the APU, I cannot get the APU Generators to switch on. If I do this test AFTER starting the APU, all is fine. I have switched the Standby Power to on BEFORE turning on the Battery, but i run into the snag when it comes to the APU Generator switches. What actually happens is that the APU GEN switches won't even move!!!Does anyone else have this problem, and is there any wisdom on how to solve it?Thanks...Wayn…

Hi. I have 3 monitors running with the 737 and undock the PFD, NG, and EICAS in windowed mode.I see the option within the PMDG tab to set the PMDG Styles option for multi-monitor use. Does anybody know what this does? Also, everytime I re-start FS I have to re-undock the panels, drag them to the appropriate monitor and then re-size them everytime which takes up valuable time.Does anyone know how to overcome this problem? Thanks.Power Supply Unit: Hiper 525W True Power PSU Processor: Athlon 64 3500+ Socket 939 CPU fan: Standard Fan Motherboard: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 PCI-Express Graphics card: Dual GeForce 6800 GTs in SLI configuration Memory: 1GB Corsair T…

Just wondering what everyone uses for their screen resolution. I'm using an LCD monitor (17") and have the res. kicked up to the 1280x1024 level. Works fine, with no noticeable hit on the frames. My only complaint is that I use the zoom mode rather than the main view for the 2D cockpit (don't use the VC). I have trouble reading the numbers without the zoom mode. Maybe just my old eyes :-) Not a big deal, just curious as to what others prefer. Mike

Hi all,I've been a fan of the 737-600/700 for quite sometime and look forward to the release of these two upcoming planes. However, money is a bit tight for me and the answer to the following question may determine which PMDG plane I may consider buying...Since both planes have highly advanced flight management systems/computers, and state of the art technology in addition to superb detail...not to mention both are long-haulers...will there be a function that can save the information of a flight into an FMC/autopilot/navigation system, etc.? I guess what I'm asking is that, since in the past a lot of other payware planes dump all user-entered flightplan information when…

Hi GuysSorry if this is a dumb question but I am new to the 737NG.How do I prevent the LVL CHG mode from automatically engaging when I switch the autopilot on after takeoff.? It has only recently started occuring on T/O since I started using LVL CHG instead of V/S for small altitude changes during the approach phase. What do I have to do to prevent this? Many ThanksTony

I recently purchased PMDG's 737 900 and installed same. I use the 737's the same way I use all my other aircraft. That is, I develop a flight plan in FS9 and then fly it with the 737. While I think the PMDG's 737 is a nice little add-on, I do not quite understand why several of my forum friends indicate that the 737 is the best ever. What am I missing? I personally think RFP's 747 is the best.

I've looking everywhere to find a repaint of the B1900D for Big Sky airlines...http://www.airliners.net/open.file/822546/L/ The livery looks great on the Beech. Has anyone seen a repaint of this bird for the PMDG 1900D? If not, is anyone interested in doing a repaint? I'd think it would be pretty popular since the airline flies to some pretty cool locations in Montana, Idaho and Washington.Cheers,Mark

There appears to be two Altitude autopilot modes ALT and ALT SEL, I was flying at 7000 ft with ALT SEL selected and the autopilt engaged, I then selected ALT to maintain 7000 while re-selecting a higher altitude for a later climb. The aircraft very slowly at about 50 to 100 fpm continued to descend. The QNH remained the same so it wasn't pressure related.I have the latest service update, has anyone else found this problemGlen

G'dayI sent PMDG an email a few days ago, enquiring about the RAAF Wedgetail. Haven't heard back from them yet.I'm hoping that PMDG release the Wedgetail for their 737. Soon as they do that, I'll be maxing out my credit card yet again on another high quality payware aircraft.RAAF Virtual (www.raafvirtual.com) are keen to introduce the Wedgetail into our online flight operations, and would like to debut the aircraft at the inaugural Virtual Avalon Airshow next week.If PMDG can release the Wedgetail just in time for this airshow, it would be fantastic, and would certainly answer a few prayers!I've noticed that in one of the threads here regarding the Wedgetail that it's alr…

Hi all,I've recently re-installed the 737-800/900 update, which includes the TCAS. As far as I know, it should also work in the 737-700. When I load the 737-700 and test the TCAS, it says that TCAS tests okay. Prior to departure, I switch the transponder mode to TA/RA. After departure, I look for traffic and try to head in the direction of the traffic but there's no display of any traffic showing up on the ND even though I would be 500ft from the traffic, and I get no traffic alert. It's not working but yet when I test the TCAS on the ground, it says TCAS test okay. Is there something I need to do? Ken.

HiI need some assistance to correctly set the stab trim for take off in the B737-700 (and the others). The problem is that the stab trim setting in both the VC and the 2D Throttle popup, show a value indcator between 0 and 12. In the VC there is also a popup help window that shows the actual stabiliser trim setting - but the value displayed in the popup window does not match the value that the Stab Trim indicator shows.i.e. When I select a stab trim of say 5 - the Stag Trim Indicator is alongside the number 5, the pop window (in the VC) indicates that I only have a stab trim of 1.3 degrees. So which is correct, the value in the popup help window or the number painted on th…

Hi all,I'm thinking about purchasing one of the Beechcraft 1900s but I'm not sure which one. Are there any of you who have both? If so, what's the difference between the B1900D and the B1900C. They both look alike to me. Is one better than the other?Ken.

  25. Hi there, first of all many thanks for this really nice plane. It's a lot of fun to fly this bird ;-)2 Questions:1. Anyone else noticed this weird night effect shown in the attached screenshot?2. I get no acustic overspeed warning and the barber pole doesn't move as I would expect to give a visual overspeed reference, so I lost about five planes in high altitudes while reading a newspaper and let the autopilot do the work ;-)Kind regardsThorsten
