  1. Greetings all..A question about the proper flap settings for takeoff. I usually read that the normal setting is 5. I'm have the 737-600/700, and recently bought the 800/900, but I would assume this question could refer to the 747's as well. When would you use a different flap setting? Is it directly related to take-off speed, or does airport altitude/weather/aircraft weight also factor into the equation?Ron

    when i land, using autoland, the F does not stay on the centerline with AP engaged, and ROLL OUT is annunciated in my FMA. is this behaviour new, or fixed from the last update?pre 400F, once in ROLL OUT mode, the plane fights to stay on center line. now, it veers off. is this correct behaviour?thanks,maxim

    I have a question about the RR and PW engines. I know that when starting the GE engines an N2 reading of approx. 15% is good to intro. fuel. What about PW and RR? What to look for on the EICAS? Also when installing the liveries for the PAX version will the EICAS show the proper engine types. Thanks in advance- Joe

    Hey this may be a stupid question but how much reserve fuel should i have....i know its 30minutes at day 45minutes at night.....But 30minutes reserve to fly at FL410 or 30 minutes reserve to do holding patterns at 5000ft???? its a big differrence in how much fuel you need for that. What do you guys usally plan for...?

  7. I had problems downloading the Cargo version of the 747. My dowmload link was lost at around 40mb. Anyone else experiencing slow download times. I am now attempting to download a second time and I noticed this on the e-commerce link:"An error has occured in this store. We apologize for the inconvenience. To return to the store's home page, click here. To contact the store administrator, click here "Are there problems with the server/store at this time? Should I try the download link e-mailed to me later? BTW I seem to be getting boxed "RED x's" on the ecommerce page where there should be banners.Regards,Tom

    HelloI currently own PMDG 737NG product, and am running it on a 1.5Ghz Pentium-M laptop 1.5Ghz with 32MB video RAM - it works great. I also run LDS767 with no issues.I would like to purchase the 747 - will this run with 32MB of video RAM with the sliders turned down, or will it not run at all ?Thanks!mike

    Hi!(PMDG 747-400 delivered Jan 31th)1. After Take Off the FMC doesn't create a proper rate of climb or Vertical Speed, climbs and descends, doesn't hold Alt, exceeds the Alt entered in the MCU, missed the VNav ...What's wrong? Before Take Off everything is programmed according to the manual. I have only with the PMDG 747 this problems.Help?2.     The 747-400 Cargo is just great......I'm amazed by it's accuracy.However, Two things that I've noticed.1- The erroneous "Fuel Disgree" FMS message which I was getting after touchdown is now gone..(Great News).2- Unfortunately I'm no longer getting the normal "End Of Route" FMS message after touchdown...(Not so great news).Regards,Martiro

    I have had problems installing v1.10 and because of this, I have had to remove and reinstall PMDG about thirty times. On the thirty first time, it denied it, locked me out from reinstalling it. Now I don't have the aircraft. I have tried to contact Precision manuals at ([email protected]), That web site does not work, will not display. I am so lost...please help

    hi,in the ITVV B747 video I've seen that both MDH and MDA are displayed on the PFD (MDH above and MDA below the attitude indicator).Is this feature included in the PMDG 747? Or is this an airline-specific option? In the manual #7 "Cockpit overview" I could only find what I alredy knew, but nothing about my question about displaying both MDH & MDA.thanks in advance!Rob

    Hi there, first of all you have once again given us avery fine product. I have just a little Q. When I engagethe autopilot, there is no light on the switch. On thestandard version there is the "missing" light but noton the cargo version. The autopilot is working fine, butas I mention should'nt at least one of the switches be lit ?

    Sometimes when starting the up the 744 pax I get the message "Fuel Disagree - Prog 2" on the FMC, often several times. Could anyone tell me what this means? I have a feeling this is something to do with the fact that sometimes I have unsuccesful flights where I have to exit MSFS in the middle of the flight and try again later. When that happens, the FMC starts the new flight still loaded with the route from the old flight!! So this might explain the "Fuel Disagree - Prog 2" error. Is there any way save from compeleting the flight successfully (unfortunately not always possible in my current learner phase) of clearing the FMC so I can start from scratch for a new flight? I…

    I sent a message to PMDG Tech Support yesterday. I received an e-mail posting indicating all response processes were normal and the time for response would be 24 hrs. It has been more than 24 hours and I still haven't received a reply.Here's my problem. I recently built a new computer. I used XP's utility that was supposted to copy all of my settings and files over to the new computer. Unfortunately it didn't seem to do the job for my PMDG aircraft (B1900, B736, B737, B744).     Hello everyone,I have not yet installed v1.10 because it would cause a CTD when selecting the aircraft. When the 400F came out recently,I purchased it not knowing that I needed v1.10 to install the 400F. I did read Robert Randazzo,s topic, {some good news on CTDs for a change. The solution was to reinstall the fixed copy of 1.10 and that would fix the problem, but it did not work for me. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you Doug
