I've got several questions about the 744 cockpit.1. When I turn off F/D I also lose the LNAV and ALT indications on the left CRT. Is this supposed to happen? Are you supposed to leave F/D on all the time? I ask this because of the issues with the SPEED indicator vanishing that have been posted here.2. Are the fire handles for engines still supposed to be in darkness? I thought the patch was supposed to make them easier to see.Easy questions I hope.

I am new to painting and was wondering how do I edit the label under the cargo nose. I can't seem to find the file. Also how do I edit the other files. When I try to open some in PS and it says it can't display. Thanks for helping.

I did a search and didn't find anything related to this, so I'll ask it anyway..Any chance of an MD-10 following the MD-11? While I'm not an engineer, it seems that the cockpits are very similar between the two!I know the MD-11 is still quite far from release... but I was just curious if this had been considered.I'm sure those of you who prefer freighters would agree that it would be nice to see this happen!Alex

When I'm flying the 747 freighter or PAX I have a problem.Sometimes I need info on my desktop and when I switch to desktop and I pop-up flightsim again my plane is descending or just turning like #### in to the limits. I run 2screens and ASV6. Is there maybe an option in FSUIPC or someting to lock the autopilot on track ?Regards Jorik

I get black screens in my 747 Pax edition, I am not sure if it is in the F. But it is in the PAX. I have APU, GND PWR or ENG. But they are still black. I have tried to shutdown the aircraft and start it again, but it is still black. I cant turn it on in anyway! What's wrong?

Hi all,First i would like to say how GOOD the "F" is!Basically my problem is, i use two monitors, if i have FS running with the 744F in the VC on one and say Interent explorer on the other, depending on which program is selected, my FPS vary.Ill try and explain myself, at the moment with the F in VC mode (2D not full screen) i am getting 10 - 17 FPS, but if i select the Interent explorer bar (the blue bar at the top of any program, window) on the other monitor my FPS increase to between 17 - 25...Does anybody know why this should happen? And it makes me wonder if there isnt some setting somewhere that i can change to get 17 - 25FPS always with FS selected...Cheers,Nathani…

Hello all, a question for the design team,The aircraft (B74F) is reflected in the aircraft config file as empty_weight = 363954.0, however in the load manager the ZFW when empty says 364526.In the pax version, these two figures are the same at 394088.Just also to confirm the MLW in the 400F is indeed 665900, 35900 more than the pax version?Otherwise i've been flying my butt off around the world and enjoying every minute of it.Jason

I never flyed a so amazing product. No BUGS. It works perfect all the way. Smooth all situations and a nice auto land. I feel like a real Captain.I just dont agree with pmdg when not give us a way to use external hardware like 737PIC did. We can use FSBUS and control the MCP easy. So what PMDG is afraid of? Since 737NG we ask for SDK to use hardwares and u dont listen to us.If u do this, u will become GOD of virtual pilots.

I am using the 737-800/900 with Saitek Evo forcefeedback, programmed with FSUIPC.I have assigned the /? and ,< keys to progressively advance /retract the speedbrake.However following this assignment, whenever I make a left bank with the ailerons the speedbrake lever partially deploys (about 1/4 of its available travel). I have tried re-setting all my assignments, but this keeps happening. Anyone else have this ?Peter

Hi, I noticed someone else has the problem of getting the stairs to extend and retract. I only recently purchased PMDG737NG. I set up Ctrl-F10 and Ctrl-F9 to "Extend the Concorde Nose & Visor fully" and "Retract the Concored Nose & Visor fully" After many tries it extended once but could not retract again until I reassigned the "Retract....." to Ctrl-F6". But that only worked this one time. Then I reassigned the commands to Ctrl+Shift-F10 and Ctrl+Shift-F9. Nothing else was assigned to those key combinations. It has never worked. This is just a nit-picky thing in the whole aircraft...but why does it not work? I have tried this with Battery power only, with APU…

Gents:The FMC in my 744F reports airac 0313. I have tried to update it with the downloads from navdat but with no success. It was ok before. I know I am doing something wrong but I don't know what. In spite of this small problem I have been having a blast hauling freight. Great piece of work this plane is.I would appreciate any help given on this.RegardsRick

Good day all. When I begin my flight (first load the 747 as my plane) I set the fuel levels. With the 747 (passenger and cargo version) I can change the fuel amount in the center tank, left and right auxiliary tank, center tanks 2 and 3, and left/right wingtip fuel. But I cannot increase the fuel amount in the left and right tanks. Problem? Solution? Thanks for the help as always. -- Jake

Hi,Firstly what an outstanding product you have produced yet again absoulety excellent I was wondering when you will be releasing the cargo schedules as don't really have any cargo flight plans etc.Secondly I know this has been asked many times but when will you be releasing the tutorial that you said would be available with the B747 Pax version.And something I've noticed with the 747F when you load it from a cold and dark cockpit from using the default cessna etc you connect the battery but the Elec Engine Control switches when you press them the light doesn't illuminate to normal only when you have connected the APU does it work was just wondering if you have any sugges…

Hi all,PMDG, great job with the -400F, as usual! One little problem I'm having though...Yesterday, as I was departing KEWR, my first fix was GAYEL. I performed a Direct-To, engaged LNAV and the plane started towards GAYEL but shortly after started to turn/circle to the right. I've read some previous messages about LNAV not capturing the track and this is what I've noticed; hope it helps.It seems that if you perform a Direct-To with a 360 degree course to the fix, this problem occurs (plane turns left or right instead of on course).For example: Setup -400 or -400F to depart KEWR to somewhere to the northwest (KBUF), fully setup the FMC, no weather, maintain runway headi…
