Hi.Just been looking at the JAl Cargo tiemtable on their website and it says they operate a flight from Oslo to Nagoya via Almaty. How commonis it to have stopoff on cargo routes? What other operators do this and on which routes?The reason I ask this is that I want to try my new 400F on a flight to asia and this sort of route gives a nice break to the flight and Ican do it in two legs then. :-hah Cheers Andy S

Hello pilots,I noticed that the "F" version has the same engine types and presumeably the same airframe like the "PAX" version has.I just compared my "PAX" version Boeing manual with the "F" version PMDG performance data. Looks like the "F" version has a higher Field Limit Weight (thus requiring less runway length for the same brake release weight).Are the other limiting weights (Climb, Obstacle, etc...) also different? Hello,I've done some intensive flying the last two days (400F) and so far I have encountered two issues which confuse me. May be my mistake, but cannot find the solution myself.1) On preflight I select the approrpiate Thrust Limit mode in the FMC and I usually choose one of the available de-rates instead of entering the temperature. After take-off the CLB or CLB2 mode, as previously selected, used to kick in after I selected flaps 5 I think, but yesterday on two of my last flights the TO mode stayed on and there was no way I could change it myself despite all the efforts made. Hello pilots,Page 25 of the new PMDG 747-400F manual shows a sample Take-Off Weight Limit Weight calculation.However, the instructions given in the example seem to be wrong:1) The chart on page 20 (which is being used for the example) is based on a 2% upslope.2) The chart is based on a ~9400ft runway, and not on a 10000ft runway.3) The manual states, you should move horizontally and vertically until both lines intersect. That's not correct. You should move horizontally to the reference line (as shown in the graph on page 20) and then follow the curved arc until it intersects the vertical line.4) The sample gives a result of 360000 kgs. Hi,Currently, you can only map plane commands to keyboard shortcuts. Is PMDG planning on expanding this menu to allow joystick inputs?I know I can use FSUIPC to map keyboard shortcuts to the joystick buttons, but I'm running out of free keyboard combinations... Mapping directly to the joystick would be very nice.Thanks,

I am an intensive FS9 user. I recently bought the 747-400 and I am experienced with LevelD 767 and PSS 777. Results on flying with the 747 are very disappointing, compared with the fr's of the other products.I am using multiple monitors, with overhead, throttle, radio and FMC undocked on two addiotinal monitors. Fr's are <6.0 which is unflyable.System is P4 3.6 with 2Gb memeory and Geforce 7800 Pro.Any suggestions? Why are the panels using so much performance? Thje other products are comparable and performing much better.Appreciate a PMDG reaction.Rob

I have a couple questions on the 747-400F...a}Is there going to be a cd version. b}Will it be internet activatedc}Will the base pack be incuded, or will i need to buy the cd that is currently out.I currently own the 747 {downloaded version} but i am replacing all my internet activated software with non inernet activated software. When I'm flying the 747 freighter or PAX I have a problem.Sometimes I need info on my desktop and when I switch to desktop and I pop-up flightsim again my plane is descending or just turning like #### in to the limits. I run 2screens and ASV6. Is there maybe an option in FSUIPC or someting to lock the autopilot on track ?Regards Jorik

Hey All,Was wondering around waiting for the -400F to release and I came across this book:"Unofficial Boeing 747-400 Simulator Procedures and Techniques Manual" by Mike Ray. There was one for the 737 but it was geared more towards the "Classics". I know there have been a couple of PMDG related tutorials but was wondering if this is worth my money to buy to go along with learning the Queen?

I am having a problem with late V Rotate and running out of runway. I think this is because I am not trimming the aircraft properly. Could someone please give me the correct way to do this? Keyboard command and/or mouse pointing/clicking.Many thanks.

hi, love the 747 good work just as your 737NG which i paid for when first out. 2 little problems i have with the 747 and i did a quick search but i didnt find anything to help. When im in the VC the displays are black and im not sure if there is a way to turn them on or its a problem. Also i dont see a beacon light flashing on the plane. thanks for any helpMike

Hello supportNo previous problems with this issue with the 400Pax, but now after installing the 400F, whenever I undock any of the panels to put them on my second monitor, they will undock and after I put them on my other monitor the hourglass on my mouse stays on and flickers repeatedly untill I move the panel back to the main monitor. If I leave it on my second monitor long enough then a partial small title bar ( windows style ) will appear on my main monitor in the upper right corner. I then will move the undocked panel back to the main monitor close it and exit Flight sim normally and will get an error message saying Flight sim has encountered a problem and must close…

Hi everyone, whenever the autopilot starts a descent at the T/D I start to get an FMC message saying "drag required". Sometimes I get it and clear it multiple times during the initial stages of my descent.So my question is what exactly does "drag required" mean and how can I stop this message from occuring?
