Hi, I cannot seem to grasp the method of applying flight plans to the FMC in 747-400. I tried entering one of the plans in the PMDG Flight Plans file but it didn`t recognize it. Does one enter for example EGLECH001. or EGLECH? I would also ask if the plans given are listed in the actual place name soewhere. I am sure this topic has been covered before but cannot find it. Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks for your time, Alan

First off, thanks in advance for the great product line and support that you guys put behind it!I am having an issue when descending in VNAV that I didn't have on the 744 before installing the F.Shortly after the aircraft has begun its descent and settled in on the path (by the way, nice transition from cruise, much smoother than before) the throttles decide to advance to near full power, rather than staying back and maintaining the descent speed. Then, once the plane reaches overspeed, the engines throttle down, and then back up again. This same problem happens when using FLCH for a descent as well, the engines never pull back to idle, instead they advance to max power.W…

Greetings, PMDG. I am having issues with blank screens apearing about 30 seconds after loading the 400. I searched this forum and found that it is apparently a validation issue (based on responses by PMDG). I need to do a COMPLETE uninstall of the product in order to do a proper reinstall, however there is no such installer available for the product.Therefore, may i plase get a reference to a listing of all files to manually remove, as well as registry entries to remove, in order to tell the installer that it is indeed uninstalled? Even better -- do you have a removal tool for the 400 like you do the 737?I greatly appreciate it.

After 3 attempts to download the product come to nothing I was a bit fed up I must say. All of the isues were at my end mind you, big props to the PMDG servers for handling the rush. It's just that trying to d/l using dialup during a stormy few days leaves you open to the risk of download interruptions everytime the power flickers for more than a second!Finally I went into town and picked it up from a copy place that had a downloading service, darn thing cost me half as much again to download as it did to buy!!!In conclusion, New Zealand has an expensive and slow commercial broadband...Gripes aside, I loaded up at KPAE with a representative cargo and fuel load for a quick…

Hi, again!For all who have purchased the Cargo Addon for the 747, you may have noticed that a new hotspod has been added to the VC for TO. This hotspot, which already existed on the Pax version, was a screw in the left side of the MCP. This has now been made a hotspot in the VC for the Cargo version. This is very nice, but was just wodering if this could be done for the Pax version as well.Thanks.

Hi all I am wondering if anyone will be able to help me with the departure procedures for PANC that I have been creating. Just curious, has an SDK emerged from the last few months of development? A few add-ons that have them are now the subject of enhancement addons themselves (gee I wonder what I'm referring to? see signature!)Not for a second am I wanting to compare products on such criteria but I think more than a few folks here would dearly love to see an SDK allowing external apps to interface with all of the aircraft systems.Just a thought! :-)

Updateted item 20: "Updated flap speed markings to correctly display only higher flap settings during takeoff." But, when I take off with flaps 20 there is no indication of flaps 10, after retracting flaps 20, there is no indication of flaps 10 either. So I don't know when to retract the flaps

Can I just say that I'm really pleased to be part of a group of FS users who have received an aircraft with some minor FPS issues and are dealing with it maturely for a change! :-)Too often lately, certain forums have exploded in indignant outrage when a trifling issue occurs with a new product. I searched here but didn't see any references to this, so thought I would post an idea I had. Basically an add-on like FSCargo, where you would get to play with all of the neat new loader features of the 747-400F to load your plane with simulated cargo, but within the structure of an assigned mission... i.e., start at airport A, pick up xxx amount of cargo, fly to airport B, drop off cargo, all within a time constraint.In fact, an add-on per-se may not even be needed - perhaps folks could post the specific mission parameters here in a thread, then others who have flown the mission could post their results (i.e., how long it took, what add-ons were used (RC, AS6, UT, etc))…

I have made the move to the heavies using 737NG and Mike Ray's great book and have successfully managed to autoland. However, after the a/c comes to a standstill, when I try to taxi off the runway, the horn blares as soon as I move the throttle. I have released the brakes, but get no movement - I have reset the flaps and speedbrake. What have I missed?Thanks for any help.Rich
