I have just put my vote in to have the PMDG team and the QOTS be put up for Best commercial Payware aircraft. IMHO you all deserve it.CheersAndrew

Hi all,Wondered if you have difficulty taxiing the Queen. I mean, it's very difficult to maintain a stable ground speed. It's either increasing or decreasing, and especially making 90 degree turning, the speed decreases rapidly and the Queen comes to a halt very quickly. Is this the real situation in a 747 ?DanielVHHH

Just purchased 747 Cargo, loaded up FS9 and went to take a flight in 737 in trying to load Arrival or departure airports I get a message, not in database, tried the 747 cargo same thing, I don't know what I did to screw things up any suggestions on a remedyThanks Dave

I was wondering how the MD-11 is coming along. Does anyone have info on how much more needs to be finished and when we might be expecting it on the market? All help is appreciated.btw, I love the PMDG 747-400F! It's great. :)

The PMDG's Secondary EICAS doesn't work with only BATTERY 'ON' and STANDBY POWER 'AUTO', but the PS1's one works with the same conditions. Which is real PMDG's or PS1's?Sincerely,Kan-ichiro Fushihara

Ok, Not sure if anyone out there has the same problem as I've been having with TOPCAT. TOPCAT will not be able to start. I've found the solution to this problem. You have to manually set the language for the non-unicode programs to English (found in Control Panel->regional and language settings -> Advanced tab. This seems to be an easy solution but on the other hand is very inconvenient because you have to restart windows everytime you change the settings and most of your non-eng programs will not be able to display the characters properly.Hope this temporary solution will help others until a better one comes out.

New upload to AVSIM FS2004-Flight Plans library:Cycle 0603 PMDG SIDSTAR file by Terry Yingling revised 3/20/2006 by Dan Downs for KLAX Los Angeles Intl. All SID, STAR and ILS procedures edited as required to comply with current charts. Added STAR runway specific routing for CIVIT5 MITTS2 PDZ4 SEAVU1 & YENNI1 as transitions to the IAPs for ILS 24L/R 25L/R. Added route for SADDE6 to IAP for ILS24R. Added departure route from runways with vectors command for SIDs as required to eliminate discontinuities. Added LAXX5 SID with vectors command as required. All procedures originally distributed in Cycle 0603, including those not modified, are included in this file.

Howdy folks!I'm having a blast with the new 747F,just can't stop flying her!!When i got her,i spend more then 30min on the tarmac,just exploring all the new features and looking for the changes made since the passenger 747.Now i'm looking for some keycommands to use for operating the doors.I tried some,but i always end up with loosing general FS keys.My question to you all is,which keystrokes do you use to open up the doors of the cargo and the passenger 747?I hope there is a way to assign these without interfering with the FS keystrokes.Greetz from Belgium!!Steven

Hello guys. Does anyone know whether there's work being done on a new 747-400 fuel planner compatible with the new F version? I frequently use Felicio Valente's fuel planner, which in my opinion is pretty accurate and saves loads of time. I hope he updates it.Pther than that, does anyone know if something's being done about V speeds and derated takeoffs? Hello,Very confused now. I'm dowloading 744 F file for the second time. First time, I've got a 71 Mo .exe file and when I opened it, I just got a ms.dos style black window and nothing else. So I assumed the file was corrupted and I'm now downloading it again (speed : only 6 kb/s).I've read in another thread that the file should be a .zip one. So, my question is : .exe file or .zip file, and what is the exact size of it ?Thank you by advanceHenri

Hello PMDG and all 747-400 pilots!I have just purchased both Boeing 747-400 and 747-400 Freighter, I am downloading both of it now as I type. I really can't resist lol, all those screenshots shown of PMDG 747-400 and the Freighter, being a fan of a 747 and my longing of a very nice 747-400 model for FS with functional system have finally paid off. Hi there can someone kindly tell me please, it seems very strange that the SAT is always accurate when flying westbound towards the United States, how comes when flying eastbound towards eastern Europe, Asia and Australia the outside air temperature always indicates the higher then -50 c has anybody else realised this, if this is a known problem can somebody kindly tell m please how to rectify this i.e. make it go over -50c and also is there any way to make the actual out side temperature to be indicated on the PFD OR ND as it only indicates this on the FMC, all assistance would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.Rayek.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo…

Sometimes during the preflight I couldn't open the ARR page from DEP/ARR. But after reaching cruise level it was possible. At other times it was feasible during preflight... I didn't find an explanation in the manual. Do you know one?

Having tried and tested DXT textures against 32bit the good news was the 32bit gave far better frame rates than I expected. However, using the installer to remove the repaint I find the folder gets removed but the entry in the cfg file stays put.

Hi Guys,This morning I loaded the saved trip/panel state of the 744F to continue my "maiden" flight from LIMC to VHHH. Although the AT is armed there is no protection towards stall- and overspeed and the AT mode has no annunciations in the AT mode. Roll mode is LNAV and Pitch mode is VNAV PTH. I am not able to re-arm the AT ...so I have to manually control the throttle and the stick shaker is very noisy :-)I checked my RW manuals and as far as I can see there is always an AT mode when the AT is armed and the speed is always controlled if the AT is armed.I wonder if this situation is the result of:- an "instable" saving function;- my ignorance about the AT logic;- A "diffe…

I am having problems installing v1.10. I am unable to contact PMDG. My computer will not send the message to [email protected]. It says that my computer is not set up right. I am lost...I have spent alot of money and have got no where. I have reinstalled PMDG so many times that is will not even work right. It loads but the panels do not work. All I want to do is load v1.10 so I can load the 400F that I purchased a few days ago.As I read the forums, I see that everyone has the updated version, how did you do that? Please help. douglas earl

Hi GuysIf i'm not mistaken, the Max payload for still having FULL tanks is something like 147,000 lbs??? And, that this allows for Max fuel at: 361,700lbs.This being the case, anyone know what the APPROXIMATE max range might be, at std cruise? (ie - miles per gal type thing).I thought i should be able to do a non-stop KJFK-VHHH with that payload.Yeh, i know it's dumb question, and that i should be able work it out.
