I know a couple of you guys are using this Precision Flight Controls throttle quadrant. I have one with the 4-engine control attachment and have a problem. When on finals with the 744, I like to click off the A/T and A/P and fly her in manually. The problem I have is sometimes the queen does not relinquish control of the throttles to me. I have control over everything else but the throttles. I can see on while in the VC that the throttles are acting crazy and going up and down very quickly. I have to sometimes re-engage the A/P and autothrottle and then deselect them again to regain control. Does not happen with other payware stuff. Any ideas?

Hi PMDG,I was wondering when we will get the true spool up exterior sounds for the 747 P and F. There is no starter/spool up exterior sounds for all four engines and there is zero exterior sound on engines 2 and 3. I have loaded the revised version and nothing changed. Several sound files like jet 12 and jet 13 are esentially blank (28 kb vs 400 kb for jet 11 and jet 14)in the sound folder. I am assuming this may have been to by-pass some problems in order to release the 747F. I love all your products. I work a few hundred feet from where 747's fire up and I really miss the starter/spool up sounds. Is this an item that is going to be fixed ?? PLMK. Thanks.Garth McNichol

I was interested in purchasing this update to complete my 747 set, but I am completely unfamiliar with cargo ops. Who in the US uses the 747F and what kinds of routes do they fly? Do they use it domestically? Am I correct in saying that FedEx and UPS don't use it?Tim

Ok, I know there's no such thing as a stupid question, but here's one anyway...On a B737 NG, how do I change the IN/HPA setting on the outer part of the BARO switch on the EFIS? There's no key assignment listed for it, and any mouse clicks near the switch modify only the barometric pressure setting - the middle part of the switch.Geoff

Hey guys im new to this forum and i would like to ask this following question on the 744 coz i just bought the product the other month with the help of my brother hehe.1.I noticed that you only make a FDE for G.E coz ther there is one aircraft.cgf and Airfile only and i dont think the GE, PW and RR has the same fuelburn and wieght. is there any update where i can get the FDE for pw and rr?2. I noticed in some pics and info that the RR and pw uses EPR for thrust reference but it seems that the panel loads the GE EICAS settings when i load the PW and RR model. does this have to do with the setting CRT or LCD?3.Whats the best and better fuel planner to use for the 744?4.do i…

Just curious if anyone has tried the Polar Air DVD from Just planes (http://www.worldairroutes.com/Polar.html)? From the description it sounds pretty good. It is 205 minutes long, and features both the 747-200F and the 747-400F. Thus it soudns like it would be a very interesting shor for cargo fans. I have seen nome good revies, but am curious if anyone here has tried it? If so, how does the quality compare with the ITV 747-400 DVD?Andrew

I had emailed the following to [email protected] in mid-Nov without a reply. Just thought posting it here might help. The question raised was -I am interested in buying the B747-400. However, to keep my massive installation (about 100 GBs) of FS2004 free from any virus etc., I do not have that HDD configured to connect to the Internet. Since you specifically mention that a Net connection is needed for installation, what can be done in such a situation? I guess that solution should also work if I ever reformat and have to re-install FS?Looking forward to some resolution. Thanks.Aarmin

While I'm loving the B744 series, I feel its a same that we can't have that little extra piece of realism to be able to see where the CG lies. It would be nice if we could set the load, then adjust it as required to ensure the aircraft is within the CG envelope limits. Also would be nice to be able to load the bulk cargo hold.Anyway just suggestions to keep in mind for the future products :-)

When a FSNav flight plan is exported to the 737NG the FMC does not make the speed/alt. entries for the waypoints, however it does so for the same plan exported to the level-d 767. Do I need to enter more data for the 737 FMC to function properly?

I did an initial install of the 400F and had the above problem (Gear and windshield images are not there).I did a complete uninstall and reinstall; same problem. Would anyone on the PMDG staff have a quick fix for this?Thanks in advance for your service. Chris

Hi,Love the new -400F, but I have a little problem and was wondering if someone could help me?I have not been able to fly the plane properly because I get really low FPS in the 2D panel(7-8 FPS), same in VC, but everywhere else (spot, tower, sideviews in the cockpit etc.) I get 20-21(locked at 21). This is over Sweden at 31000 ft. with 10% AI traffic, no weather, just Radar Control.I have other advanced payware aircraft(a certain 767 and 737)and they work very well, even over jfk.Am I missing something here or do I just have to buy a new computer(hope my wife didn't here that!).My spec: P4 3GHz, 1024MB RAM, ATI RADEON 9600 256MBMany thanks.Regards/

I have been playing around with the temperature adjustment knobs in the overhead panel but am confused. It appears as if the cockpit is the only independently adjustable temperature control. Changing the temperature on the crew area in the back also adjusts the main cargo hold temperature, and the crew rest area temp gauge adjusts the back main cargo holds temperature. Is this how its supposed to be? I cannot seem to get the upper deck to stay at normal while the cargo decks to be cool. What am I doing wrong?Thanks

After loading previously saved panel state I realized that IRS switches positions do not save/load properly.In the PAX version they load to the saved position, however in the 744F they always load as set to NAV (well at least on my machine).Is this just my problem or are other people experiencing the same?Thanks for any info.Zdenek
