Hi Y'all. Look I am having some trouble with the 747-400's FMC system. I do not know how to put in the speed so it will go over 360knots and how to insert waypoints. could some one tell me how to put these two things in. THNX, Christian

I just discovered that my DVD/R/RW was faulty ,when it was connected it would cause an "chirping ticking sound from the motherboard audio",.Everytime i tried to do a long flight i would get the following problems "vnav speed disconnects/speed fluctuations/max alt messages,all of which made no sence.It's now disconnected & i have completed three flights without any problems at all, "egll to kbos/kbos to egll/egcc kmco.Hardware caused the "pauses"that paul from pmdg mentioned which inturn would cause the above mentioned problems.I would just like to thanks Paul from pmdg for all hes assistance & if this information helps anyone else ,objective achieved cheers Phill

Greetings,Recently reinstalled all pmdg products but now when i launch the 737-700 the version is showing as 1.2 but the update to 1.3 was sucessfulanybody know whats up with that?I have posted a couple of questions but have not had any response from the team at pmdg.Can't get support at their website(undeliverable address) can't get the flap swithch on pfc throttle quad to work with 747 ect ectBestAndrew

Good day all. I would just like if someone can confirm that the PMDG 737 (all versions) does not have autoland. When I hit the "APP" key it tracks and follows the glideslope and lateral nav, but it does not do the flare and rollout like the 747. Is this because there is no autoland? I didn't think there was because there is only one autopilot (besides "A" or "B"). What do you pilots do with the 737? Do you disengage the autopilot and manually do the flare when over the thresehold? Thanks for the help. -- Jake

I inststalled FlyII!Then Patched it to v.210Then Patched it to v.240Then installed PMDG 777I tested the game at this point and it worked.Then installed PMDG 757 with the 777 patchGame registers an error in winrunn.cpp on line 157 at startup and crashes.How do I fix this?PMDG no longer supports FlyII it appears.Thanks!

I have the full 737 series. HiI seem to have run into some trouble when trying to program waypoints into the FMC in the 747-400.The route I'm trying to program is Copenhagen -> Newark (EKCH -> KEWR). As long as the waypoints have a name I'm ok. But then I get to waypoints in the flight plan that are just navigational points consisting of latitude and longitude. In my plan they look like this one: 6200N/01000W, which is latitude N62:00:00 and longitude W10:00:00. Of course I have consulted the FMC manual and studied the chapter about defining and using custom waypoints and I have tried to type this waypoint in many different ways, but without any luck. Hey guys. This is an ancient FS9 problem I keep having sometimes which literally ruins my flight.Sometimes I accidently press E and then 1 or 2 (or 3 or 4) and we all know what happens next: only one of the engine thrust levers keeps assigned to my joystick throttle. The problem is I can't figure out how to link all engines back together, and I keep getting assymetrical thrust which is all but impossible to operate on a landing or takeoff setting without autothrottle armed and engaged.My question's pretty simple. Hello all:I am the proud owner of every PMDG release except for the Queen. I would like to purchase her, but I have a question.I do all my flights using FS's native flight planner as I'm not sure how to make one up myself for the FMC to use. What I mean is I don't know what the SID's, STAR's, and enroute fixes would be for the flights I make, as I'm not sure how one obtains this information to compose a flight for a route they wish to fly.So generally I fly in heading mode and rely on ATC vectors. And therein is my question....normally on the 737's, as well as the Beeches, I just let FS compose the flight plans, fly them with heading vectors, and finally let ATC vector me…

Hi all,Since PMDG launched the 747, I have had several changes to my PC. All for the better.Please take my word for it when I say the system is "clean". I'm in IT for my business, and I see cacked up machines daily. Let me assure one, that this is not.The specs are under my name below, I'm getting between 15-25 FPS, and it occasioanlly drops to below 10FPS, which seems rather feeble for the power I'm running here.I see others reporting similar framerates for machines with less than half the power of mine, and still using the VC.I run the VC, with Track IR (of course), and run a single monitor setup.If I drop the resolution, the framerates dont budge, if I move away all th…

I drove myslef crazy today trying to enter waypoints into the fmc, I enter N49W050 exactly like that and it doesnt work, so I loaded a co-route and they were entered exatcly as above. So why couldnt I do this manually?

After flying today with the new cargo update the fmc of the pax airplane was giving eroneous eta times that were before the actual zulu time.

Hi There, I was just wondering if there was a way to add the registration plaque (with reg and SELCAL) to the 2D panel and virtual cockpit,so that when you are in the cockpit(either virtual or 2D) it would show the reg of the repaint you are flying in on the plaque.It would add that extra bit of realism. Anybody know how? Would PMDG do this via a small download in the download section. Thanks Simon.

In the list of features for the 400F on the PMDG website, it states:"48) New Autopilot disconnect behavior. If A/P is disconnected with both Flight Directors off, then all MCP lights will go out. Subsequently no pitch/roll mode can be engaged. Autothrottle in this case, if active, will revert to SPD mode."I find that if I disconnect the A/P with both FDs off, then the MCP lights still remain illuminated, just like they used to do before the 400F. Also, the A/T does not revert to the SPD mode, with the SPD button illuminated.I'm not sure if this anomaly is somehow specific to my system only and works fine for most others, or if I am missing something. Hello fellow simmers--I was wondering what everyone uses to enhance their 744 experience and make it more realistic? Any extra programs for flight announcements, checklists? I am used to the 737 FS2Crew, and also have FSPassengers and Flightdeck Companion. Certainly, I enjoy FS2Crew the most, and would really enjoy something similar for the 744 or the 744F. After flying the 737 for a little while with FS2Crew, it's almost creepy to hear nothing but silence, and run your own checklists, without interaction with the co-pilot. Is there anything out there similar, or is there anything in the works for the 744F? I am trying to make my experience as realistic as possible, so l…

Hello,I discovered that after I upgrade the PMDG 747-400 by the Universal Update Package, when I approaching the ILS runway I found something strange...... Did the PMDG 747-400 can recognize the rwyway is ILS CATII or CATIII ?? Because I have tried 3 different rwys and all of them are CATII ...... when I reach around 200ft near the minimum DH, I heard the sound "Guide Slope....Guide Slope" Actually this does not affect my landing because I turn off the autoland before the DH, but how about when I land on a CATIII rwy ? Is this only a bug ? Just a fake guide slope warning sound ? Will the plane still can auto touch down ?Jacky Yeung

Hi I'm just wondering I fly in and out of PHX I find the Sids Stars & Approaches in the PMDG file but FMC shows none for KPHX. Any one got a fix for this or is there a new download out there???

Hi Captains,I just came in cruise flight, but my VNAV now shows the DES page and when i try to get to the CRZ page manually i select a crz altitude and the page flips back to DES. The aircraft is simply thinking its a very long descend of 3000NM. Anyone know how i can solve this?I tried while using both VNAV and FLCH/HOLD.Cheers,Ian Udinga
