Hello,I recently got my PMDG B747-400 pax, its GREAT!I did notice however that when I change my flaps, I do hear the click, but I don't actually hear the flaps go up or down (I do see the indicator work and the flaps actually do move). Same thing with my gear, no sounds.When I put the APU on there is no sound either :(All other sounds (engines, alarms, etc) seem to work just fine.I did check the wav files in the sound directory and they work all good.Please help?Thanks alotMartijn

Hello first off i what to say "great Product" with the Queen both pax and cargo.i would like to know alittle about frame rates and stuttersand what i can do to improve my simming i just took a flight from Klax--Ksea in the 747-400Fnow it was a complete 2d no virtual cockpitmy take off from la had frame rates of 10.8 to 16.8cruise was 26.4 to 29.9but on approach to sea and landing in sea as well as taxii got 10.7 to 04.1 as well as some stutters but no quick freezesi have no add ons except for your product my sliders at near max to max in terms of all detailmy system specs are Gateway 500XL PC WIN XPIntel P4 2.6GHz P4 Processor w/800FSB1GB DDR SDRAM (2-512MB Modules)12…

Hi all,I started to work again on the 744 after a break due to pc crash(fantastic plane).I was able to complete a flight with perfect autoland and all between RJTT-RJCC.The climb was a little tricky because the autopilot wouldn't stay on...it managed to work after a little bit.So,the flight went well,the approach and landing too.My problem....i saved the flight about 20nm from the runway(in case of crash)so i could practise the landing again.The thing is that i can't engage LNAV after the flight has loaded,the plane stays in heading hold mode and won't budge...the FMC tells me it's on a non intercept course,and when i try to engage the app mode it tells me invalid NAV..…

I just read a post about a guy with a high-end computer complaining about low framerates. Randazzo came in a couple replies later to express his thoughts on the matter, especially with his dislike of norton software. I completely agree with Randazzo on the performance hit you take when using norton. I would just like to know what do you all use if you're not using norton? What anti-virus software is comprehensive but doesn't destroy your frame rates in games?- Tim Schaff

Hi all,All of a sudden I now have full right rudder on the ground and also when I do get air borne after about 3 minutes, with VNAV and RNAV engaged, she will just dive to the right. I have the 400F and the update installed.Anyone any ideas?Clive

I have installed the PMDG 744 Universal Service Update Package, I discovered that when I do the ILS landing, a GS warning will be come up when I reach the DH ........ Actually I will disconnect the Autopilot before the DH, so I do not know wether it is only a bug.... a fake warning or something else ....... Did the PMDG 747 now can recognize the RWY is CATII or CATIII ? Because I did not try to land on a CATIII rwy so I do not know will the GS warning still occured in CATIII RWY ........

OK, I have heard a couple of different stories as to why there is no UPS repaint of the -F. Could I get an answer from the "Horse's Mouth", is there an issue with the textures that prevent's the UPS repaint or is there some legal issue with a free, not for profit, repaint of the UPS B747-400F?Steve Park"Still flying the Brown Tailed PAX version"

I have all series of PMG series.+i ordered while ago 747 cargo.After i tried to launch the software,it always requires the previous versions.I started from the first one,but the problem continues.Always ask the previous one,previous one.I am bored of a paid customer.:-zhelp

GreetingsI'm new around here, so I appologise for starting a new post, but I've scanned most posts and couldn't find a suitable place to reply.My questions are simple.1- I own PMDG 747-400 QOTS in a box (Aerosoft) and I was insterested to buy the 747-400F. Should I wait for the boxed version on this one too or can I buy the download version and add it to the boxed?2- I've seen pics of the 744F panel. Those digital MCP, new tft and new stand-by, are they going to substitute the previous one? I would like to keep the "older" displays too. If so, is it possible to make that panel update on just a single 744?3- Are the sounds going to be updated? I have RR, PW and GE sounding…

I am the proud owner of all your boeing products, including the newest (and the best yet)747/74F. I have a question about the Stairs that come with the 74F. When I fly almost any route in the 747, I almost always get a parking spot, and not a gate (I always request a gate, but never happens. My question is there anyway to make the stairs that come with the 74F work on the passenger version. I would love to open my cabin doors, and not force may passengers to jump down to the ground.Thank you,Jonathan

Hello,I discovered that after I upgrade the PMDG 747-400 by the Universal Update Package, when I approaching the ILS runway I found something strange...... Did the PMDG 747-400 can recognize the rwyway is ILS CATII or CATIII ?? Because I have tried 3 different rwys and all of them are CATII ...... when I reach around 200ft near the minimum DH, I heard the sound "Guide Slope....Guide Slope" Actually this does not affect my landing because I turn off the autoland before the DH, but how about when I land on a CATIII rwy ? Is this only a bug ? Just a fake guide slope warning sound ? Will the plane still can auto touch down ?Jacky Yeung

Hi all.For some reson, I cant seam to put in any VOR stations, with Frek. under 112.00, on the NAV RAD page on the FMC.It would be a great help for ILS landings and such like.The problem is the same for VOR L and VOR R.Have I missed something out? Hello.I run PMDG 747-400 bought in Italy on CD . If I go from Fiumicino (LIRF) to Torino Caselle (LIMF),where there is only a runway with ILS,when ATC give me the heading to intercept the localizer I set APP on MCP,and the autopilot capture the localizer (and GS). If I go from LIMF to LIRF,where there are four runways with ILS,I set in the FMC the approach runway given by ATC.When I am on the heading given (HED SEL)by ATC to intercept the localizer and I set APP, the autopilot don't capture the localizer and the plane continue on the heading given by ATC.In the two flights I make the same FMC setting and I am not able to understand the problem.Thanks for your help.Maurizi…

Someone please help me out. Not sure which is the causes of the out of memory problem. After installed the Cargo and update, since I only fly the PAX version now, I noticed that the memory usage is extensive, and stutter and slugish when taxing and after departure a few minutes I got out of mem. I don't know if because of the Cargo version affected the PAX running slowly or maybe I recently change the resolution from 1024 to 1280. efore the PAX was running fine, not very smooth, but acceptable and playable, no ut of mem happened.my computer is AMD 3200, 1Gb ram, Geforce 6600 256 MB. Do you guys also think its the ram or video card cause the problem too. I alsouse the Acti…

Hi gents, excuse the NZ-focussed post.I have a session in Flight Experience's new 737NG sim in Wellington this Saturday. www.flightexperience.co.nz for those who are curious, it's a fixed-base system and appears to run on the MSFS environmental engine. Not sure about systems modelling but possibly it's PMDG?Anyone had a go at this? Would be keen to chat with anyone who has tried it. I have gone through all the posts concerning A/T, but they have not addressed my issue. Here is the scenario (twice now in 1 hour):Go through my pre-flight and checklists. After all data is entered into the FMC, ground gives me pushback and engine start, along with a runway. All V-Speeds are normal, and display on the Nav display. When I get a new runway assigned with my taxi, I go to the DEP/ARR page and select the new departure runway. I clear the "TAKE OFF SPEEDS DELETED" message in the FMC and go to TAKEOFF page. I reset the takeoff speeds and observed they are displayed on the NAV display, again. They are there. When at the hold short and ready to roll I ARM the A/T.…
