    Alright,Just got the most updated version of the 400F. Good install, no problems. Once the aircraft loads, the LCDs, EICAS, and backup thingy all blink to life but then extinguish about 1 minute later never to come on again. All other systems work great but I'm staring a pitch black screens. To make things even stranger, if I 'Reset Flight' when the plane reinitializes(sp?) the screens are still black. However, if I 'Change Aircraft' at any time back to the standard 400 model the screens are on and functioning, but go back to the 400F and their off again. I've tried several reinstalls with no luck killing the problem. I hear great things about this aircraft but it's kinda…

    hi, do anyone knows how to decide at what height should the pilot pull the power to idle and flare the aircraft..PMDG 744 manual said power idla at 50ft RA and start to pitch the nose up at 30ft RA..But when I looked at ITVV VS, the pilot simply did everything at once at 10ft RA....For myself, I tried both. Power off at 10, no way, either the 744 is floating too long and touching down beyond the landing zone, or the 744 is "ballooning". On the another hand, the aircraft seems to land hardly when power off at 50.Ben

    I have noticed that the 737 NG throttle has definite steps (in percent of full power) as you advance the throttle from idle to full open. You would expect that the response would be relative to the movement that you applied, however this is not so.I found that in my case (I am using the Logitech Extreme 3D PRO joystick) that there are nine (9) steps from idle to full open.I find that when manually landing the 737 by using throttles to control the rate of climb or decent this action becomes difficult.     I recently purchased the PMDG 747-400. I also have the PMDG 737 which I've had now for several Months. I had no problems with the FMC on the 737, but with the 747 I cannot fly a flight plan at all. Every time I click on the LNAV button to fly the programmed track I get an indication that their is a message for me on the FMC. I cannot view this message. The LNAV button never gets engaged to fly the programmed route. So far the PMDG 747-400 has been a big disappointment for me. Can someone please help me?

    After a long period working perfectly, the autopilot of the B747 fails ramdomly in stabilizing flight parameters (altitude, attitude with respect to the flight director lines, etc) and I don't know what to do. Any one knows about this problem?. Thanks

    Hi all,In an attempt to better myself, I have been reading a few RW pilot books. I find they all help when it comes to adding realism to your simulation, and they open more doors for you to "try" new things out.The best overall book I've found is "Handling the big jets" by DP Davies. Some of you will have probably read it already. For those who haven't, its excellent. It really helped my understanding of the flying qualities. Scenarios such as landing without flaps, with high stall speeds are very handy.However, there is another called "The pilots guide to the modern airliner cokpit", by Casner - a VERY good book on the FMC.... however, it is based on the 737NG interface,…

    Hello,I flew yesterday from KSFO to EHAM. Before going to bed I decided I would add to the FMC that I wanted to be at VALIE maintainign FL370. But it doesn't seem to be an option. I tried setting my ALT readout to FL370 and I tried inserting FL370 at waypoint VALIE in the FMC.But it does not accept this and gives me an invalid entry.Is there any way this can be done, or does a clearance of e.g. "Cleared to maintain FL370 at VALIE" a manual operation?Thanks,Xander

Hi everyone!I'm not sure if I can or should post this message here, but I am going to try anyway!I have sent multiple e-mails requesting information regarding when NAVData (http://www.navdata.at/) will resume making the current AIRAC download available to us all who use PMDG aircraft, without any response to date.I know of other websites that offer AIRACs but I am personally quite happy with NAVData and I wonder why other sites offer the current information while NAVData still does not.The latest AIRAC available on NAVData's site is 0513 (22 Dec 05 to 18 Jan 06) while the current AIRAC is 0603 (16 Mar 06 to 12 Apr 06) according to Terry Yingling on his website http://www.…

    Hi Poeple, I am flying for a while now and have always the same problem occuring after som time during the flight. The problem is: Suddenly the FS is shutting down and following message is appearing: Microsoft Visuals C ++ Runtime error Runtime Error ! Program C:WindowsExplorer.exe R 6016 - not enough space for thread data The FS symbole is then minimized - i have to click on it and then the FS is running again. It a pain in the neck as i am trying to make over night flies and the flight always gets interrupted. SO FAR NOBODY could help. What shall i do. Thanks in advance Marek

    I recently did a complete reinstall of FS9 and the PMDG 737. I should also add that I have the registered version of FSUIPC.Although I haven't yet tested all systems (VNAV, LNAV, etc.)the one thing I have noticed so far is that when I set a certain heading for the plane to hold say 65 degrees for example it settles on something more like 62 degrees and just hold's there.The funny thing is that when I go into spot plane view for example the FS data at the top of screen indicates that I am in fact heading 65 degrees. So I don't really understand what is happening here.

    I need help setting up FMC I installed as per instructions but I am not able to get it to work. if I unplug and plug again all I get is amessage (Engravity CDU,V1.03, 02/03/2006,Test,Pssed,going in to standby......It will not turn on again... I placed a copy of the key in the PMDG folder but I get nothing.. Hope someone can help Me... Thanks !!!

    Hi, I'm flying EPWA-RJAA and I'm having problems with FMC calculated fuel - it is descreasing too fast. After 5h of flight, the difference between the TOT and CALC has passed 40k lbs, with calculated value of 135k and totalizer value of 178k lbs.I have my failures set to off.
