    After installing the 747F, I load the plane and I can no longer open the lower cargo doors on either the PAX or cargo version. Additionally, I cannot open the upper deck doors either. Yes, I have given unique key assignments to all the doors via the PMDG menu.I can still open all of the left and right doors on the main deck of the PAX model, and the 1 and 5 L/R doors of the Cargo. I tried uninstalling both versions and reinstalling, but this did not solve the problem.Thanks for any help.David

    Thanks all for the help in trying to resolve my problems with V-Speeds being deleted. I uninstalled an reinstalled all of the PMDG aircraft. I was having a problem when I pressed the activate A/T (pressing the screw head) during takeoff roll. When I pressed it the V-Speeds were deleted (no changes to weights, flap setting as entered in the FMC, etc...). The reinstall seems to have solved it. But wanted to thank all for the help.

    I have just installed the 400F on my system and when I try to do a flight, it loads up fine but after a minute or 2 all the sceens on the panel go blank and no matter what I do I cant get them to come up again. The FMC still works and all the switches etc seem to work fine. Anyone have any ideas?NH

    I currently don't get the LCD digital readouts on either the 747F autopilot MCP or on the radio frequency displays for either the 747 or the 747F. As far as I can see everything is powered up OK (engines running, generators on, battery switch on, standby power auto, all lighting on (by selecting shift+L)).I only noticed this using the 747F, but the problem may have been around for longer, as I don't normally bother to manually tune radio frequencies.Is it possible I may have lost a font? If so which fonts are required? Is it a display resolution issue?I checked the default Cessna to ensure that the avionics were selected ON, as this can have an effect. Does anyone kno…

    Hello everyone,I was sick and tired of getting poor frames in the PMDG QOTS and the 400F expansion. So having saved up some serious moola I went and bought a 500W PSU and 2GB of memory and the nVidia 7800 GS OC AGP edition video card.     Hello,I have several landing questions:At what altitude to you turn off autothrottle?If A/T is off, how do you correct your descent rate, with rudder (pitch) or throttle?If I try a smooth landing I often hear the "glideslope" warning. Do I ignore it? Often ILS and PAPI/VASI lights don't match. What do I use as a reference?To the VREF30 speed of the FMC I add gusts and wind (max 20) and use that as approach speed, right? So when I flare at 50 or 30 ft I let the speed descent to VREF30 and let the plane hit the rwy with that speed?I hope to get good answers ;-)GreetingsEdgar

    Hi, im not too sure what the issue is here so i thought id get a general consensus of oppinion. I have installed, for some time now FScrew, i have also just purchased radar contact, and ive also been toying with vatsim. OK that is the back ground info. The problem is that i have just started having is that my right engine, is possibly over spooling? What ever is happening, when i push my throtle forward, im only getting number 1 engine power. Now, if my passengers only wanted to go around in circles, there would be no problem. But, hey you know what, they don`t! Im sure i have messed with something.     I am trying to find in the manuals for the 737 and 747 where it explains the holding page in the FMC. I have looked in the FMC sections for both planes but without much luck. Anyone got a page number? The information I am looking for is where to input dme/radial data in the holding page: eg. if I want to hold at a fix 40 miles out from a VOR on a particular radial, where do I input the '40 miles'.I can see reference to 'radial' on the holding page, but not distance.Apologies if it is obvious and any incorrect terminology used.Thanks allRenzo

    I know this must be right under my nose somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it in the manual. I can see that the Max Zero Fuel Weight is around 635,000 lbs. Therefore the Max Landing weight must also be higher than in the Pax version, but I cna't find it.Andrew

How far above the glideslope (either in terms of dots of deviation on the GS scale or linear dist.) will the real aircraft engage the GS pitch mode?I was experimenting with GS capture on my favorite virtual 744 and discovered that while GS capture from below the glideslope was reasonable and uneventful, GS capture from above can produce a wild ride. I set up the aircraft in landing config (flaps 30, gear DOWN, Vref30+5) and maintained 5,000ft (LOC is the engaged roll mode, LOC button illuminated on the MCP, ALT is the pitch mode) until about 5 miles from the threshold (way, way above the glideslope).     Hello,My doors are opening fine on left and right side of the aircraft, but the cargo doors don't open at all (even thought they are programmed with a key from the PMDG options menu). The EICAS or the external view don't show cargo doors open, while pax entry doors work fine.I am using the KLM version.Any suggestions?Thanks alot.~Martijn

    Reading Wilco 737 manual there's a phrase I would like to if it's true:"APU BURNS FUELExclusive feature! Just like the real plane, the APU uses fuel. This is simulated only on feelThere aircraft. Nowhere else!"After a couple of minutes using APU in PMDG747 I noticed the fuel consumption didn't change. Also on other add-ons I noticed that APU seems to be running with air.Now, my question is this: Does the PMDG APU burn fuel directlu from the aircraft own deposits?
