Does anyone know the count of passengers in the various seating configurations of the PMDG 744 Queen? The load manager obviously gives the passenger and cargo weight but does not indicate the passenger count and I do not see where the max passenger count is listed anywhere in the PMDG manuals, but perhaps I missed it.Thanks for the information,Jerry Lauderbaugh

Quick question. I'm planning a long flight with a heavy fuel load and in turn will be using a step climb. When entering a cruise alt on the perf page, should this be my initial cruise alt or the final cruise alt? Thanks,Andrew

hey is there a 747 QOS printed manual in the skies?? just curious. yeah I could probably go to my high quality made manual that PDMG will most likely offer. is there any word? possibility. I would really like to get one so itll be easier for me to learn to fly this plane more realistically. hehe have the hand book in my lap while flying and testing the AP, auto t/o,auto landing, program the FMC, etcwould be cool to have thats all :) just been thinking about it lately.

Hello,After some flying in the cargo version I thought to take out the pax version for some longhaul flight.Great idea except that the crt's turn black after a minute or so.I have searched this forum, found some answers but no solutions.I have both the 747's installed in the correct order. I know for sure that the activation of both planes worked correctly during installation so I wonder what could have gone wrong.What I do know is that I am sick and tired of this fight against flightsimulator. Southwest Airlines carries 19.3 million pounds of belly cargo according to a Air Cargo article in Aviation Week & Space Technology (Apr 10 2006). The belly cargo leader is AmericaWest, 24.4 million lb. (all are 2005 figures), and following in 3d is Delta at 12.4 million lb..... that's a lot of stuff! I've owned the 737 since Day One and, for the first time, I have no gauges after a reinstall. I suspect it has something to do with the copy-protection but I have no idea how to diagnose that. Every time i do a flight over at least 1000nm with the 747 my gauges on my PFD dissapear and my whole computer locks up to a state where i cannot even ctrl+alt+del, only way is for me to press the restart button. I cannot trace the error as nothing gets saved to the memory dump when it happens. I have done reinstallations after re installations of the PMDG 747, reformatted my PC and done a fresh install of XP and FS9. I am running the newest version of the 747 as thats the one i bought anyhow.. Could it possibly be a Hardware problem? Vital System specs are P4 2.8, 1 gig ddr 400 corsair+ Nvidia 6600GT OC AGP, 40 gig Hdd of somekind, 550W PSU, gigabyte motherboard has 800F…

Hi all,there is external power available, everytime I start with cold and dark cockpit. SO no problem there. But after the flight, after landing and parking at the gate, external power (so far) never comes available. I noticed that, since I flew my pott dry like a fresh powdered baby|a|s|s and I wasn't able to start the APU anymore. So I waited for EP and nothing happened...Am I doing something wrong???Regards,Roger

Hello guys,happy Easter!! Can anybody explain to me what these two switches at the Transponder/TCAS are for (B747-400)? Above and below if I read correctly and the other one Full/?? There is not much about it in the manual.I just flew my first flight on VATSIM and the Controller asked for Squawk Mode C. I thought it would already be on Mode C when I turn the knob to the right (TA). I then fiddled with these to other switches and then he got me on Radar. Next time I would like to set it up correctly from the beginnning.Thank you very much for your replies!!Fabian

I have posted two messages with serious questions (at least for me).First one: after reading several tutorials about how to make an initial approach (e.g. B737-700)it is still impossible to do so, a lot of strange things happens after T/D. I know how to fly approaches, that is to say in Hardy's PS.(no problem at all)Second question is that I'm struggling with the fact that I'm wondering if PMDG is as real/good as they like/want me to do believe so...., after hours and hours of strugglingI wonder if this,third, message is still at the forum after 30 minutes from now. Hi all.I'm having some problems with the 747 and its navigation. It used to work fine and for some reason now that I got some booked 747 flights (finally) I can't get out of an vicious circle.Location: TNCMDestination: MPTOPlance: PMDG 744Livery: KLMI create my FP with FsNav and use the exporter module for the pmdg737 to export the FP, also export to FS04 format to use with ATC. Now as those that have flown in and out of TNCM know this is both a tricky landing and take off. I have use the load manager to reduce fuel load to about 42% as I'm only going 1500nm and that should be plenty for the trip,as well to enable me the take off I will need to perform to get out of ther…

Hi allI just downloaded the 400F primarily to update my basic 400 pax version ("because its worth it") Tried to check out the cargo model but so far haven't found an operating console e.g. to raise the nose. Is it accessed from an internal or external control panel (or both)on the real a/c? Is this modelled in the sim? Unable to find/download any 400F-specific documentation so a few pointers welcome. HiI've just completed my first video. I'm flying the 747-400F from Gatwick to Fiumicino. I have only been flying the 'Queen' for a about 3 weeks, but I am use to PS1.3 so the transistion was fairly easy. Also, I am using Radar Contact with the PMDG 747 and they work fine together. What can I say, apart from WOW!!!. Makes flying totally 'as real as it gets'. I have being flying(sims) for over 20 years and this has to be the best investment that I have ever made. The 'Queen' comes to life.All I can say is go get one.CLive

Fellows,Since the installation of the -400F and the latest patch, I have been experiencing a change of behaviour from the autopilot mode. I have to say I am using FSUIPC ver 3.53 and Activesky Ver 6 patched. This has happened twice both of them from the RR engines however(Cargolux & BA PAX. With everything going accordingly and some hours (realtime) into the flights, I hit turbulance and all of a sudden the commands will change to FLCH and starts a decend and will not take any cammands given there after. Even with full CRZ settings engage, speed is reduced with the 'stickshaker" going off all over. This with FMC program to a FLXX, but FLCH will decend the Aircraft to …
