  1. My experience has been that I'm always a bit high over waypoints containing altitude constraints on descent. The path appears to be predicting arrival at the altitude constraint correctly, but then when the airplane begins to level off, and the rate of descent is reduced for a nice level-off, I end up crossing the waypoint about 100-200 feet high or more. This is all under autopilot control on a VNAV path descent. Is this the intended behavior?Don S.

I'm having a problem, not exactly sure what causes it, but i have recently installed ultimate terrain europe and the new uk2000 gatwick, so it probably comes from these, but wanted to check here.the last 2 flights i've made, i have received the following error:your computer has run out of available memory. flight simulator will now exit. you may not have enough free space on your hard drive. run disk clean up to free up space, and then try running flight simulator again.I'm flying the B747-400, flying from LIRF-EGKK. After the first time, i deleted some unused files, ran disk cleanup and then defraged. I just tried to repeat the flight, only to get the same result - again…

Hello,I wonder if any of you have experience this:Flight from LFPG to HECA with Air France 744F and ASV6 online.Absolutely no FPS problem till mid descent to HECA, where the FPS in 2D and VC are at 5.2, and spot view at 25.The computer memory is at 1300 at that time and FS.EXE at 370.000.Running on the computer at the same time is Kaspersky anti virus mainly, other wise InCd from Nero and the current processus. The other prob is for that flight going after to VTBD, I was supposed to have 72.000 LBS of fuel remaining, while at 300 dme from HECA. I entered the approach in the FMC, and then I start to have the "Insufficient Fuel" warning message. I checked the datas, to be su…

Goodafternoon simmers,I wonder if there is someone who could take me through the steps of setting up an ILS approach (B737) to e.g. EHAM RW06 (110.50)when I am flying from IAF "RIVER" on the FMC.Thanks in advance,Regards Freek-EHAM

Did I miss it during the installation? I can't see an option in the game menu to load B-747 without 3D PAX CABIN. I would rather get rid of it for the sake of some extra FPS, that are still good for such a complex simulation.Thanks.

  6. Hi all, I've been flying the 737-700 for a couple of months, thinking it was normal for the FMC to hand control back to me (eg UNABLE NEXT...) without a peep - only displaying some tiny illuminated text in an annunciator that I always overlooked. Yesterday I installed the -800, and found an agreeable beep every time the FMC has something to tell me.Did I inadvertently switch off the -700's audible warning?Geoff

Hi,Using the PMDG 747 passenger Air Canada livery, my Fplan was direct CYEG-KSFO at 370. The airplane load was was 2/3 pax, and sufficient juice to get there. FMC appeared to be happy with the FPlan, the route seemed complete and altitude select was 370. I used Vnav/Lnav to get to altitude, got there and all seemed well. Then I noticed alt alerts and a porposing of either climb or descent even with the alt set to hold. A/T was active and maintaining good speed, but the airplane was tough to keep level until well into the flight. The approach was even more abissmal so it's got to be something I'm NOT doing correctly. All suggestions appreciated.Ron_CYEGhttp://www.prec…

Hi,I am very new to PMDG 747.In real Aviation Scenario there are various special legs that Are flown. I am looking how to String this in FMS?Is there any way where we can string our own procedures? For example. In real world FMS, once you string a ILS 26 to KATL and come via ATL there is a Published Procedure Turn.Check the plate at www.airnav.comWhen i string this in PMDG I get a Discon and then the next waypoint. Is there any way where I can string this? Also it is to be noted thatthese legs are Performance based Legs. Meaning the outbound leg should be flown for a minute. So the length of each leg is constructed based on the speed of the aircraft at which it is flying or…

I am not a real world pilot. I read on this forum that the reason why the PMDG 737 has no back course buton on the MCP is because in the real world lnav approaches are used to land on runways with no ILSs and real 737s NGs have not got the button. I will pay anything (figuratively of course) to someone who could take me through the steps of setting up a LNAV approach to FABL Rw2 when I am flying from FAJS on a direct-to routing on the FMC.Seetella

We dial the FMC calculated take off speed into the autopilot prior to take off. That presumably means that after take off we'll climb at that speed until a new, faster speed is dialled in.At what stage do we dial in the higher speed please?Cliff

I have had this issue before and still can't make sense of it. If I do nothing to my FP as entered into the FMC, everything works perfectly. But after everything is entered and I go to the DEP/ARR page and select a SID and a runway (or even just change the runway when there is no SID), shouldn't the V-Speeds be automatically deleted causing me to go back to the TAKEOFF page to re-enter them? The problem is they aren't. After entering any changes in the DEP/ARR page the V-Speeds are still shown in the TAKEOFF page and on the NAV display. This rears its ugly head when I start my takeoff roll and engage the autothrottle (yes, I have armed the autothrottle prior to entering t…

I have uploaded my latest gem to NAVData and the AVSIM Flight Plans library: KSJC San Jose. The departures from here are a real hoot to fly for their 180 amd 360 deg loops keeping everything close to the airport and staying out of the way of Moffett Field and SFO. I have also worked all the kinks out of the procedures that rely on FS9 VORs, which seldom have a radial just where current charts say they belong. This is my 11th upload and all previous files have been verified as current for Cycle 0604: KSAN San Diego, KBMI Baltimore-Washington, KMCO Orlando, KPHX Phoenix Sky Harbor, KMDW Chicago Midway, KDAL Dallas Love, KHOU Houston Hobby, KLAX Los Angeles, KPHL Philadelphia…

  14. Hi thereI was considering writing an in-depth flight planning tutorial covering everything almost everything they do in the real world, such as alternates, notams, charts, weather, etops and fuel for specific aircraft (767 and 747) from what I think is a reasonably vast amount of knowledge I have stored in my head, so as others can plan their flights wtih a high level of realism. Links and information would also be provided. It would be applicable to all flight planning programs - although some sections which require special programs, such as FOC 2003 and FSBuild may be specific.I am just trying to gauge interest in such a tutorial? It would also be helpful for one or…

I've just tried flying with all the hydraulics turned off. I was trying to land using only the throttles (like the DHL Airbus did after being hit by a SAM in Iraq). However, I can still control the aeroplane using the stick by "pumping" it. Why is this so? I also notice that the brakes remain functioning, even though I have a "brake source" caution.Still a superb product though! :)Mike.

Flying the 737-600, with all weather off, for some time testing, I'm doing, I have noticed a continual rocking back and forth of the wings in stable flight at FL260 (happens in other FLs also). I was wondering if that is a design thingy to give the illusion of flight or is it some actual characteristic of the 737.I have flown many flights and I never really observed a continual rocking in any of those flights. If this is supposed to add to the illusion of flight, it doesn't, it detracts. Matter of fact, reminds me of a child pretending to fly a toy airplane.
