Hi all I would like someone to clarify something for me is there a difference between ARIC nav data and the sids and stars data I have just loaded the lastest 0604 sids and stars but on the ident page this is still showing 0513 now does this mean I have not loaded it correctly or is the lastest sids and stars there but not the waypoints and airways. Does the ident page show if u have loaded the lastest sids and stars. I know we are waiting for the lastest cycle from natdata but is there two different types of ARIC cycles.thanks allCraig(captainc)

Im a newbie and I really havent read the manual....my cockpit display systems disappear after a few seconds ...I create a flight select the pmdg 747 and after a few seconds on the runway ...the cockpit display just disappears...do i have to do something inside the aircraft ..like switch something on...or is this a software error.my cpu specs areX800 XT Platinum EditionA-64 3500 + (slightly overclocked)MSFS 2004 ( 9.1 Patch applied)1 GB Ram

When I first tried it, I was able to engage the autoland function. Now when I engage the APP switch and try to turn on the second CMD button, it will not turn it on but switch to it, thus giving me only single channel approaches and no autoland. I know this is minor because I do not mind landing the bird myself, it would just be nice to know how to do it again if I am evern in CATIII conditions.Thanks.

What is your longest PLANNED flight you have ever successfully PLANNED out and accomplished. Hi!To my surprise, I found out while being in an Atlas 744F two days ago that they are configured as KG aircraft. I would have thought all US airlines are configuring their aircraft for LBS units...Does anyone have a list which airlines are flying the 747 in which configuration (KG or LBS)?Would be nice to know... Hello,After uninstalling fs9 completely i am now in the process of rebuilding fs9 + addons.Tonight i came to the installation of all PMDG planes. I carefully followed the install order. 1) 737-600/700 + updates2) 737-800/900 + updates 3) 747 + updates4) 747F + updatesBetween and after every install and update i restarted my pc. Now i started configuring the planes via the PMDG menu in FS9. Something must have gone wrong during installation although everything seemed to go smooth. I found that in all 737's i cannot choose the AOA indexer in the PMDG menu and i cannot use the DU knob in order to get the lower EICAS, it's not functioning. Looking closer i found that even tho…

Hello,I am getting a crash to desktop,not a traditional one with the error message, but rather the top menu bar in FS disappeers and then if I switch tasks at all, FS will close without a warning or an error message..I believe the culprit is PMDGOptions.dll because of the fact when I had all of my PMDG products uninstalled (737NG/B744), I flew at least 15 hours in the sim (separate flights) without a problem.Help?

I was attempting a take off and when I advanced the thruster the no takeoff warning buzzer started beeping. Flaps down, parking brake released and trim set in the green. I looked for several minutes but couldn't find anything else out of place. Anyone got an idea of what I might have overlooked? I finally ignored the buzzer and took off and as soon as the plane lifted off the buzzer stopped. Seems like this has happened before.

I have recently purchased the B737-800/900, because I have B747-400 in my PC so I did follow the suggested installation way i.e un-install my B747-400 then install B737-800/900 and re-install the B747-400 both are CD version and I did not own a B737-600/700.Here are my problems: For B747-400-the cargo and upper deck door cannot open by using the key command (it work before with just the B747-400 alone) For B737-800/900-nothing shows about the B737 under PMDG drop down manual for example style...etc only show the B747-400 choice.please advise!! Hi, I have searched the last twenty pages of this forum tring to find an answer to my question without success, so here goes. Today I was flying into Toronto Canada (CYYZ) and wanted to land using the ILS24R. The approach was in the FMC so I selected it on the approach page. I then pressed the NAV RAD button to see no ILS frequency, just ILS-MLS PARK. Why did it not tune the correct frequency? Is it possible to manually tune the it? I tried tuning manually and got INVALID ENTRY. Can anyone give me info or direct me to a link in this forum on this topic? Thanks, Paul

Hi there everyone - odd question yes!~I am planning on taking a PMDG 747 on the long haul between Hong Kong and London over some high terrain, obviously. Does anyone have any ideas/links or charts that would assist me to plan an "escape route" (ie a safe track away from the high terrain) if I have to descend in the event of a decompression?Thanks for any help - although I think is a somewhat difficult question to answer.Cheers,Rudy!

In the spirit of achieving greater realism, I was wondering if anyone has more information on the procedure for loading cargo into the -400F? When not carrying a full load, how is the cargo typically arranged on the main deck? I assume that it is not just tossed in randomly. Is it simply done from front to back,with the pallets sitting two by two? Or do the start in the middle closer to the CG and work theri way forward and bak simultaneously? Or, perhaps, is it preferable to arrange the pallets along one side so as to allow a clear corridor and easier access?Just curious was the preferred method is?Andrew

How often and in what situation do real life 737 pilots use CWS? All of the operating procedures I've seen call for autopilot CMD engagement shortly after takeoff then disengagement on approach. Thats usually what I do. I guess it could be used on climbout to maintain pitch or on final to hold glidepath and rwy alignment, but in these situations would it not be easier to just use the CMD functions?Thanks, Steve Marsh

I just got the 747. I save a flight using the fs9 Save Flight command (which I understand is supposed to include a panel save) immediately after glidescope capture in an autoland situation. I then proceed with the landing. I then want to reload the saved flight and review the landing, try it manually, etc. But the panel settings for the saved flight don't load properly. I've read in the forum that the problem is caused by some parameters of the saved flight not reloading quickly enough for other parameters to know what's going on. Thus the AT can get messed up. But I've done what's been suggested to fix this problem, and it's not a solution for my problem. Further complic…

Hi,I've some problem with the overhead panel of PMDG 737.When i clic on the the letter "O" of the menu, i can see the overhead panel; But when i clic on any else button of the overhead panel, FS2004 stop immediatly and i have this message : "creation failed check if sound file is available".
