Dear simmers,New user of PMDG.(former PS1.3-pilot)Is it possible to save a flight witout loosing all the settings in PMDG?? And what about the auto throttle?? not always able to activate. (B737-900)Regards Freek-EHAM

I was on a real life flight a few weeks ago across the pond in a 747-400. On arrival at Heathrow, i noticed that after we landed, the pilot did not deploy the reverse thrusters and the aircraft glided smoothly off the runway close to the other end of the runway. I thought it was cool.So as soon as i got back from my trip, i tried to land the same way with the PMDG 747-400. To my surprise, i found that i could do it. It was quite cool especially if you do not have to turn off the runway very quickly (as would be the case in a busy airport). Hi there. I've been using the PMDG 737 package for some time now but have only recently bought Radar Contact 4 to run alongside. What an experience!! However, I would like some help on a request from ATC as I can't find any advice about it in the 737 operating manuals.I am flying along at 36000 feet and ATC asks me to DESCEND NOW to 16000 feet and wants me to be at that level WITHIN 30 MILES.How do I go about entering this request into the FMC to get the aircraft to comply ? I descended manually (FLCH) but when I had finished the flight, I had a "gentleman" come on to ask me about a height violation so I don't think I got to 16000 feet in time.Hope someone can help an…

I never had any problem starting the PMDG 747 engines before today. I checked the manual and it says to make sure duct pressure exceeds 30 PSI after engine start selector is pulled. I have done everything like I normally do but this time when I pull the start selector no light comes on. I checked duct pressure and it reads 23. Is this enough to start the engines? if not how can I increase it. I have checked over the entire panel and can't find anything that I was doing wrong. Why is the start switch not lighting up? It will only light up if I send fuel in before pulling the start switch. I thought fuel had to remain cut off until N2 reached that magenta line then you intr…

hello all.just purchased the 747 queen. i can not communicate the FS9's ATC system. there is no input available for selection in the ATC window. i can tune to the apprpriate freq. and hear chatter. i just cant request anything. i have searched the forum and went back as far as 3/2/06. if i have missed it, i am sorry in advance. and my last postings did not contain my name.. sorry for that too. Hi,I was just wondering, is the tail stand functional or is it just a visual thing?the Freeware IL-62 for instance, has a 4th wheel support at its tail - if you load it incorrectly and won't extend that wheel, the aircraft will tilt and sit on its tail....Is that the case with the 744F, or is the tailstand just a cosmetic addition?//Michael

Hi allNot sure if this a problem but after approx 3hrs the auto throttle failed. No EICAS messages, nothing. Tried everything, but no go.IS this a know issue? If so is there a fix coming.Was flying on VATSIM at the time. Thsi is th efirst long haul I have tried.ThanksClive

Hi fellow airmenI noticed that my primary flight display some times says "NO TDZ" in yello letters. Searching and browsing my manual doesn't reveal what that means. Can anyone tell me what that message means? An durring the decent I can see two green dots on the navigation display. The green dots are placed on the route. Hi all, just received my boxed PMDG 737-800/900.Just one question regarding the transponder. The mode switch seems to alter squawkbox's mode correctly. However, I'm not sure the IDENT button works. When you press IDENT using the squawkbox window, ident flashes. However, when you press it in the PMDG, that doesnt flash on squawkbox. Altering the mode (standby, TA, etc, updates squawkbox perfectly).Is it actually identing in squawkbox, and just not showing? Or does this not work?Many thanks in advance.

No more VOR L and VOR R needles appears on the ND with the B744F.And yes the 2 switches are in the VOR L and VOR R position on the EFIS control panel.FMC NAV RADIO page shows R next to frequency and it seems that auto tuning is not workin anymore.Stephane

Hello, When I select 'tower view' in my FS for the 747pax, the external view of the aircraft shows also part of the internal view, the picture just doesn't look right. The regular external views etc. work just great, no problems there, its just with the Tower view.Any suggestions ?Happy Landings!~!Martijn

In an effort to learn about the route between Boeing Field (KBFI) and Moses Lake (W20) I created a Flight Plan in FS Navigator before exporting it to the Cargo 747.When trying to enter KBFIW20001 into the Co. Route line I receive a message reading "Program Error".I've tried creating another Flight Plan ending in 002 but with the same result.Is there a way to solve this problem please?Cliff

HI all,Has anyone seen about a 744F update to the fuel planners knocking around that were for the pax version.. ?I know u can manualy adjust the weight of the bird say in fsbuild etc but thought I would ask incase someone has seen one about, there was a great version for the pax on avsim but the creator of it had set the general weight fields fixed, so there was no way of altering them to accomadate the cargo version.Thanks in advance,James..

Hi, yesterday I was flying the 747-400 and tried a manual landing once the plane was finished turning me onto a nice 10 mile final. I pulled the autopilot disengage bar, but left on F/D and A/T. I think on retrospect I should have turned off the F/D, not sure what if pilots are meant to leave the A/T on or not but I did find it very convenient to have the plane automatically stay at the Vref + 5 knots speed for me so I could just focus on following the ILS.Eventually the plane counted down "500", "100, "50" etc but I had a problem flaring. Basically I pitched up the nose but instead of gliding onto the runway the plane just flew in a straight line with its nose up about 5…
