PMDG team,After punching a new route in the FMC my arm always needs a rest ;-) The real FMC is much more easy: you only have to fill in the airways on the left side of the route page. The FMC than connects the airways and the left part of the page with the fixes is filled in automatically:-)Can you add this RW feature at a next upgrade?regardsTon

OK i am getting an new system next week and I do not know what to do? How would I reinstall the PMDG 747-400 into my new PC, I paid for it so can I get it again by download? P.S. here are my new system specs: Windows XP Home1 G RAMGeforce 7800GT 256MB160G hard driveand a new LCD3.0 GHz CPU

I have been using 744 for about 5 or 6 weeks and now I am flying today and I am getting "program error" on the scratch pad when I try to select a STAR and ARR rwy. I also am getting "crz alt unavbl". Yesterday I did install FSNav and downloaded the sids/stars for that program, could this be the problem??? Thanks for the helpMike

Just ran the ISFD updater with fantastic results. Thanks guys! It ocurred to me though, what if the same technology could be applied to the flight instruments of the first officer position, or alternatively, provide the option to turn either the left-side or right-side screens refresh rate down independently? I'm not sure whether this would have any material impact on frames but it seems plausible.Just a thought anyway, I know in the last few days we've heard from some users that are seeing less-than-optimal frames and anything that can be done to help these users will obviously be well received.

Good day all. So I was flying Tokyo to Frankfurt on my trusty PMDG 747 using the "Narita 8 reversal departure." The departure procedure requires a certain heading to intercept a certain course (for example, "...then turn right 160 to intercept and proceed via CVC R-272 to TETRA". So I enter in the intercept course in the FMC under the legs page (put CVC in the 1LSK, double clicked on that tab so I could put in the course on the lower right side of FMC per the instructions in the manual). But when I clicked the heading tab and then hit the LNAV button it says that I am "not on an intercept heading." I get this message a lot. What is going wrong? -- Jake

Hi,yesterday I bought the F and wanted to sample the delights that it has applied to the PAX version too.I spent over an hour prepping a flight from LHR to JFK and then the time came to push.As I was pushing I selected the O/H panel and attempted to pull one of the engines startrelays but, none of them would come out thus no way of starting the engines.Had to close the flight down.Anybody know of this problem and possible fixes?ThanksMark.

Dear PMDG,I was wondering where is the tutorial that was said we would have with the B747Pax Version, I know you have been concentrating on the 400F which I can fully understand. HiWhat is happening here in the attached photoI'm having problems trying to control the aircraft in any mode although it is being commanded by LNAV OK. When I engage VNAV the aircraft goes into a rapid 5000fpm climb with 306 tonnes. Eventually going into a stall.You can also see a height retriction of 9000 being ignored.I do not have similar problems with any other PMDG aircraft or from other sources.I would be grateful for any suggestions.ThanksBob Wright

Captains-We have put together an updater for those folks who downloaded the original V1.00 of the 400F and did not redownload the "tweaked" V1.01 that we put on the server at 0700Z/23MAR06.YOU DO NOT NEED THIS IF: You purchased and/or downloaded your 400F after 0700Z/23MAR06.This update included the FPS booster Lefteris devised for the 400F VC, and a minor fix for the airplane in holding. That is all....If you aren't sure if you have the right version, you can download and run the installer without hurting anything. If it detects that you already have the most current version- it'll simply tell you so. ;-)Enjoy!

On my system, the -400F livery titles on the download page are either black or gray. Does this have some significance? Some, but not all, the gray ones say "being updated."Thanks.

Hello,I think I may be having a problem with the duct pressure during startup on the 744 PAX version and I'm not sure if it's me or something else. I start cold and dark and go thru all the checklists, start the apu, apu bleed air on. At this point, with the packs off I am only getting 23 psi for the duct pressure. I have tried all combos of packs all on, all off, one on two off, etc. I have also tried the isolation switches on and off and I never get more that 23 psi on the duct pressure.Based on this psi value the autostart system does not work, although I can eventually get it started using a manual start.Anyone have and tips or suggestions to help out? On the product page the cargo expansion says: "NEW FOR THE PMDG 747-400F:", it lists many updates, but are these also fixed in the 747 PAX version? Becasue below it it says what is fixed for the 400/400F and the list is much shorter. I ususally fly PAX aircraft, so the only reason I would buy this plane is because of the new features. So are they also fixes for the PAX version?

With most manuals coming with the online download these days, where do you go to get them printed economically ??You guys in the USA have Klinco ?? But what about those of us who live in the rip-off Island called the UK ??With manuals for the 747,747F, Lvld767, ATR 72-500, Radar contact,etc. It all adds up to several thousand pages to be printed and bound, but where ? hello everebody,The airport EBOS has two ILS systems. A new ILS on runway 08 named IMI and one on runway 26 named IOS. I added this ILS 08 with afcad to FS2004 and the ils capture works fine.My question is now how to add this ils 08 as a waypoint in the FMC, because the instrument approach chart uses this navaid. If i insert IOS into the legs page of the fmc i get a screen with two frequencies to choose off with the respective coordinates. So no problem here. When i insert IMI in the legs page of the fmc i get a waypoint more than 3000 miles away. I tried adding this IMI waypoint into PMDG sid/star EBOS.TXT file between fix an endfixes (FIX IMI and the coordinates). No he…
