    Good afternoon PMDG crews !After several months flying the 737 and a couple of weeks with the 744, I have an unsolved curiosity/question.During the takeoff roll, we can hear a serie of callouts:Eighty knots !Vee one !Rotate !Vee two !And I ask myself: Do all those synthetic-voice callouts exist in the real plane or are they part of the simulation ?. I mean, are they the simulated voice of the Pilot Not Flying ?I presume this is a not difficult question to be answered by the lots of Boeing experts in this forum. Thanks in advance.Jose Luis.

    I took the liberty of creating thumbnails for the PMDG B1900C and B1900D official liveries as downloaded from the PMDG website. These were created from 1600x1200 screen-captures and reduced in size to 256x192x24-bit thumbnails. I know the recommendation is 256x128 but these seem to work great and keep the aspect ratio as well. Each thumbnail is saved in the proper texture folder as named by each livery auto-installer.Supplied in seperate zips, extract to the root of your FSX directory with "use pathnames" enabled.     Hi Gang.I have been meaning to ask this for a while now.I have noticed that when using the queen I can't use the reverse thrust to slow down after landing.I can get the spoilers to auto deploy etc, but the reverse thrust just moves the engine cowling's back momentarily, then they return to the original closed position.I have tried this when on full auto-land, and by going fully manual, both with the AP speed hold on, and off.I am using the latest version of FSUIPC, and the X52 is fully calibrated.this does not happen with my other add-on aircraft, so I'm wondering if I have missed something.Many Thanks.PS, how many different liverys are there for the Air Force 1 Queen, I …

    Gentlemen:I have been using the PMDG 373NG-600/700/800/900 since 2005 with MSFS9.In Early January I installed de MSFSX, in a sepparate hard drive and since then I am experience problems with tha above aircraft. When I started to program the FMC, it becomes extremely slow, taking, for example, more than 30 seconds to a character to appear in the scratch pad window. I know people say NCAO charts.. is that right? Are ok.. but I don't know which site to actually get them from.. if someone could point me in that direction I will hopefully get it up on AVSIM and post a link to it shortly..     I am new to the PMDG 747. Downloaded latest version off the website.I notice that many of the international airports have no ILS information at all. For example all the runways at Vancouver Intl show as non ILS runways, same for EHAM. I have routinely flown to these airports using competitors planes and the ILS etc is in the FMC to be able to make the approaches.I know some SIDS and STARS may not be available, but I am surprised about large airports having no ILS.Am I missing something here?Thanks,Greg

    GuysDid a Freighter trip from RPLL Manila to OMDB Dubai last night. Decided to run along the Himalayas and over Mt.Everest. I know it its a little north of the creat circle route, but it was worth it.You have to try this one - the mountains are stunning from FL350, and the colors if you time it for a little after sunrise (westbound) are exceptional. (Southern Chile also makes for some pretty beautiful stuff to look at en route.)Darn, makes one feel good to be alive - driving PMDG over the roof of the world on a fine morning. Peter

    I am new to 747 400. I successfully completed the Illustrated Guide to Getting Started with the PMDG 747 tutorial, where everything worked flawlessly.I then tried to set up flight from Seattle to Portland Oregon, cruising at 15,000, similar weights etc. But in fact no matter what altitude I put in for cruise even 8,000 it says Unable Cruise Altitude, and one cannot finish programming the FMC and get on with the flight. No way do I beleive that the 747 cannot reach 15,000 feet in a 150 mile flight!Anyone with an idea of what I am doing incorrectly? I do not see this error specifically in the manual.Thanks,Greg

Like most people, I have my set of procedures, but I'd like to balance it out with a look at how others do this.Here's my procedure to start with.     Hello, New to the PMDG products, How do you show the lower EICAS MFD display?I checked the options, and I set it to Over/Under and the MFD control button works, but there is no lower screen.I am assuming if it is not in compact display mode, in ENG the loweer EICAS will show N2, fuel flow, Oil system conditions and vibrations, and on the SYS Side, it should show Hyd system and Flight Controls, is this correct? Anyway, I jsut can't get the lower EICAS to show. BTW, I do all all the latest updates installed.

    Hello, I build a 747-400 throttle with 4 engine axis,flap axis and spoiler axis ( i use a 100kohm linear potentiometer).The flap axis work whith all default aircraft and all add-on aircraft but don't work with PMDG 747-400.Why? thank you !!!

    Hope that someone on here has had the same problem. I did a clean reinstall of fs2004 because I wanted to move it from drive C to drive E. Now when I try to install the PMDG 747-400 I insert the CD and am promted to press the buttons that says INSTALL PMDG 747-400. Once I press the button the program hangs and wont do anything. Anyone else ran into this problem. It seems to make no difference what I do, Exploring the CD and clicking on SETUP.EXE produces the same results, it just hangs and locks down my entire suystem. Im running Windows XP. Thanks for any help.Tek

    Hello,I've just completed my first flight in the 747-400 from Heathrow to Glasgow Prestwick, it looked to all be going very smoothly until I was lined up on ILS to r/w 13. I had pushed MCP Loc well before my turn to final (345 deg from TRN) but the aircraft did not line up correctly , I was a good few deg off and looked to be heading at a diagonal across the r/w until about 20 feet from touch down - at this point the aircraft then aligned correctly, a little un-nerving to say the least (anybody seen that true life video where a 747 touches down on 1 set of gear !!) - I'd appreciate any advice, I am using AIRAC 0613 and the latest STAR's from navdata.at site.Thanks in adva…

  22. I have encountered issues with UT USA and the 744/744F and also the 763.I will try out the above tonight and see what happens. I consistently encountered this issue with the 744 + Fs2Crew + UT when doing beta testing from KSFO-KLAX and also subsequent to release on the same route.It would be great if this fixes the issue as I haven't taken the 744 / 763 to the states for a while now, mainly out of fear of losing a whole flight on final approach!What will I lose from UT by removing these files?

    Hello Again, Been playing around with the 744 and 744FI have notice that the 744 has the standard cockpit with the CRT diaplays, old standby gauges, and the MCP with Speed Tapes.The 744F has the LCD displays with the LCD IFSD and LCD MCP Panel.Ok, on the PMDG menu in FS9, on the 744F model, it shows that the LCD is selected, and "grayed out" as you can't change it.On the 744, it gives you the option in the PMDG menu for CRT or LCD dispalys, it always starts on CRT, however if you select LCD, it does not change. I even tried to exit and restart, and still, the same results.Is this is way is't supposed to be?

    Hi all, i am getting really depressed about using the queen these days , after 400 trouble free hours it now seems that every time i load the aircraft something goes wrong. I can only assume it's my setup or error as a search of the forum yields no similar problems. Today i loaded up the 747F for a flight from OMDB to EGCC i calculated i needed about 102000kgs of fuel. My weights are as follows: ZFW:280642kgs Fuel:102387kgs GW:383840kgs. I ran the load manager and when i loaded the aircraft i opened the PMDG options tab and set the fuel load to the required amount. But as soon as i set the fuel load it changes to 164000kgs. I observed the fuel synoptic in the lower EICA…

    Hello everyone,Recently, I've been encountering a problem I need some help with. When I use the 737NG, the sound changes from the normal engine/atc/wind noise to a harsh static that drowns out all other sound. Sometimes, I can make the normal sound return by constantly switching between normal/virtual cockpit/tower views until the sound normalizes, but other times I can't fix it.My soundcard is a Radeon 9800 pro...are there any known problems with this card and PMDG? If I use other add-ons, they work without sound problems.Thanks!
