    I have had the 747-400 for a couple of weeks and this past weekend I added the -400F. After installing the -400F I also installed the revised sound package that was offered and from planepath.com I downloaded and installed their latest terminal procedures. I later also installed the 0613 update.My problem is that although the aircraft flies well and sounds great, I have lost the ability to autotune and communicate with the radios. That is, if I select the "`" key, I can see the on screen menu option to select a radio frequency, (tower/ground) but when I press the select key (1 or 2) nothing happens.     When I fly PMDG737 I see big FPS oscillations in 2D cockpit during flight (from 14 to 28 FPS , locked on 28). In spot view everything is OK - FPS are steady around 26-28. Is it normal?My specs:P4 2.8 GHz1GB RAMATI RADEON 9600 (256MB)

I know.. that this is probably the wrong forum to post in.. but I do want this to work well with the PMDG 747 in FS9.. :) I've decided to put off my upgrade of my system till much later in the year.. But I do need a new monitor regardless.. and I was thinking that a 20" or 22" widescreen would do the trick.. I don't mind spending a reasonable amount of money on it.. BUT.. I have no particular interest in the freighter model, but the website lists many, many apparent enhancements to guages, realism, FMC logic engine models etc etc. Do these apply to both the PAX and Freighter version of 744? Is there any real reason to get this upgrade if flying Cargo is of no interest to me?Thanks,Greg

    Hello all,I just spent a total of I'd say at least 3 hours trying to calibrate my new throttle quadrant. Of course the ONLY thing I want to fly is the 744 right now with this gorgeous setup!I have the 4 center set as the thrust levers.FSUIPC throttle calibration only makes the throttles start responding about 3/4th the way to stops. When wanting to place these in idle, it only goes back to 32%. Pressing F1 every time should not be something I should need to do.Obviously this is going to cause major issues all the way around, and will be especially bad for RTO and landing.It seems like the detents are messing everything up.     Hey,I've had the PMDG 744 for a while now and i recently bought a Ch Products yoke. ALso good however a short while into the flight, say climbing to cruise level, all of a sudden the engines will die, just cut out, no reason no warning or nothing theres plenty of fuel and everything, they just shut down. I try to restart them, they won't fire back up.I read on here a little while ago, a guy had similar problems, i haven't been able to locate the topic though.If any one has any ideas i'd really appreciate it!ThanksCya

    Hi,tried for testing to disconnect the drive generators. Now I am unable to reconnect the drive generators. I tried it as stated in the manual - went to the PMDG option menue - various - and reset button for EDG. No changes, drive generators are still disconnected.Even if you load another aircraft or flight, DG still disconnect.Thanks for your adviceAlfred

    HiI was speaking with a person the other day who "claimed" he was knowledgable in ATC with 737 aircraft. He made the comment that a 737 can slow down very quickly only a few mile from the runway, and that they frequntly do this when landing under noise abatement conditions.Now with me in FS9, I am at about 1180 kias flaps 10/15 probably 10 mile out as I start to decend on the glideslope (depending on aircraft series and weight). I like to have everything set up for the final landing approach by the outer marker. At the OM I lower the gear with flaps 15/25 VREF + 10 thereabouts. I then move to flaps 30 VREF + 5 somewhere between the OM and FAF.Am I configuring my appro…

    Hi Folks!Using the CD-version by Aerosoft for the 737-800/900 I found out that at night (after switching the panel-lights on) the standby altitude/speed indicator is missing on both the 2D- and 3D-panel. The frame(s) are empty afterwards. At daytime this gauge is visible even when the panel-light hass been switched to on...What can be done to get this particular instrument back in service even at night/with lighted panel?Thanks for your kind help in advance!BertFS MAGAZIN

    Hello, Everyone Im not sure what is going on here but im encountering some pretty nasty bugs with my copy of the Queen. I cannot get the Queen to load cold and dark everytime i goto PMDG, General, Options, Various and uncheck the Ground Conditions then reload the plane she still comes alive without my consint.Whenever i use the pushback feature in the queen after it is complete and the ground crew says "Pushback complete, engage parking brake please" the plane still continues to push back even with the parking brake engaged and it does not stop.I cannot get the IRS to align when i check the count down timer it's frozen at 7 mins.So far i have tried the following steps to …

    Just purchased 737TNG. Anyone know who I can contact for permission to take the documentation (PDF files) to a copy place to have them printed in duplex style? They are copyrighted but I am sure printing on my own printer would be permitted, but I can't do duplex printing.

    I've been browsing through the texture directory getting ready to do a little painting of my 737s.What I can't find is the texture that contains the nosewheel doors, where "ETOPS" and the ship number would be painted. I found a texture that looks like it's for the doors, but what's on the texture doesn't match what's on the doors.Any assistance much appreciated.-Tim

I noticed that I do not have the following bitmaps in my panel folder1. 747400_overhead_background_16002. 747400_centerconsole_background3. 747400_Radiostack_background4. 747400_MISCPanelI noticed some of these are referenced in the panel.cfg file but remmed out and the MISCPanel.bmp is not remmed out. the 747400_chrono.bmp file is in the folder but the lines referencing that file for Window 14 is remmed out. also the CDU.bmp file in the panel folder is not the same name as the file referenced in the panel.cfg for that particular Window.It w…
