I just noticed that only my 800 and 900 works correctly. But the VC for my 600 and 700 looks really weird. For example, I have part of my PFD in the MCP! What can I do to fix this. Also, for future reference, how do I shrink screen shots?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/167249.jpgRyan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

Hi,My laptop just died so I am using my wife's laptop instead. I have reinstalled fs9 and then the PMDG 737-600 and then the 737 - 800 in that order. Trouble is my panels are blank and I cannot access the FMC. I can get to the over head but only via the "View" menu. I am sure that this has been discussed before but I cannot find it. Any Ideas anyone? I want to reinstall the 747 but I would really like to fix this first.Gerry

I know this is covered in other posts, but in reading them I am still confused . . .Two things: after inputting the perf data and climb rates, when I use VNAV and change altitudes, the climb rate falls back to 250 knots despite being over FL10, even though climb rate is set well above that, like at 293 knots. Any ideas on what I have done wrong on VNAV?My 737NG as I am flying it is not holding the glideslope even after locking on to it. APR light goes off, then the sucker will tend to go nose up at about 2K feet and I have to manually land the bird. Any thoughts? If there are not quick solutions you can offer on this, I will go back and read the manuals etc and see. B…

I was just watching the ITVV Martinair MD-11 video, and Captain Bakker mentioned a couple things I hadn't thought too much about before. When he was going over the ND while waiting for takeoff clearance, he mentioned that when they advance the throttles, you will see the runway align with the aircraft. Does he mean that before takeoff, the runway and the plane aren't aligned? I can't quite tell while looking at the ND, but it's something that I thought was interesting. Shortly after that, he mentions arming the autoflight system and pushing the throttles forward, then autothrust system will take over and advance the throttles. Am I correct in saying that the autoflight sy…

I recently updated my 737NG with the updated 737-800/900 and I am having a problem with the keyboard commands not being saved after a flight. I have programmed the "J" & "U" keys for up and down elevator controls, respectively. The default Keyboard Commands have the "U" key toggling the radio screen. I change this before every flight to use the "Cntl + U" key and it seems like the program doesn't remember it before the next flight. I have to delete the "U" and replace it with "Cntl + U". Is this normal for the 800/900 because I don't remember the problem flying the 737NG-700.Thanks,John

Ok, I'm having some problems with the 744 frieghter. First off my version of the Queen is a cd version that didn't need the patch. Last night I created a flight plan from KSFO to EGPH with flight sim commander and when I loaded it into the FMC, the route loads ok but I keep getting a runway load error message. The second problem I have is an insufficent fuel message.Prior to going into the sim, I load the cargo and fuel using the load manager but it doesn't seem to matter how much fuel I have , I still get an insufficient fuel message. Thanks for the help, Ron

Hi allI am fairly new to PMDG 737 800/900 and although I have grasped most things, there is one area that I am slightly confused about and would be grateful if someone could explain to me.Landing - ILS / AUTOLAND 1st Question: What are the differences between the two? Also does anyone have any advice for flying the final approach? For example should I establish on the ILS and then 3 miles from touchdown disengage A/P and fly manually? I hope this makes senseIf someone could explain, I would be more than grateful.Adam Spalding

Hi. Have a problem with my 737's - they won't load. They just hang FS9 up. I have no idea why, but I'm thinking I'd better just re-install. So I have a couple of questions:1. Should I also uninstall my 747 (it's loading just fine) and just do everything over from scratch?2. Can I save all my config files and textures, and just stick them back in after the re-install?Thanks for any help!Matt

Sometimes I have an issue with the 744 taking shortcuts, instead of flying the legs as programmed in the FMC. This is while flying in LNAV mode. A recent example:I am approaching Quito SEQU on the Descent 6 arrival for ILS runway 35, using VNAV and LNAV. This is a circling approach, using the QMS VOR as entry point for a standard (=right hand) hold pattern. It goes something like this:- Fly HDG 352 to QMS, cross QMS at 16,000- At QMS, enter right hand hold and descend to 12,000. Outbound leg HDG is 172- On the inbound part at D6 QMS, level at 12,000 and continue to D3.5 QMS- At D3.5 QMS continue descent to cross QMS at 10,900- When reaching QMS, exit the hold and continue…

Available either AVSIM FS2004-Flight Plans or NavData libraries: Procedures based on FAA Digital Terminal Procedures for current cycle (0701 eff 15Feb-15Mar). The single published departure LGA1 is a vectors-only procedure, but I have included this with the Rwy 13 Climbs (CONEY, FLUSHING, MASPETH & WHITESTONE) if you are using ATC vectors (e.g., VATSIM). I have also included twelve non-published departures for routing to all of the departure fixes used by turbojets for use without ATC vectors. Fixes included ELIOT, GAYEL, PARKE etc, and the Runway 13 Climb is included based on actual ground tracks observed at Flightaware. All (turbojet) arrivals are included in both "…

I looked up any previous topics on this but the only one didn't cover how to do this. I just started flying my NG again today after a long break and noticed that I can't see over the panel during approach. I know there has to be a way to permanently change my height in the VC but I don't know how. Is there anyone out there who could give me a SIMPLE set of instructions and a suggestion on height?Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg

Hello,During an autopilot or flight director approach, upon localizer capture I noticed that the pfd loc scale did not expand. I believe it should expand when within half dot deviation. I checked the pfd options and did not see anything in regard to the loc scale. Is the expanded scale just not simulated in the pmdg 737s? Thanksfosl

I am simulating a flight from Quito to La Paz. Two issues I encounter here that I have never encountered before (I am an experienced PMDG 744 pilot with well over 150 legs, so let's assume I have put the right settings in the FMS):1. N1 is constantly in the red! In the beginning I thought this was because a lot of power was needed to climb out of Quito (ALT >9,000 ft) - but it's in the red all through the CLB and CRZ phases. I changed from CLB to CLB2 just to see if anything happens - still in the red. What could be the cause of this? All the flight is in Autothrottle, the first phase of the climb was done in FLCH mode, and later in VNAV mode. All the other engine indi…

1) Has anyone tried to somehow incorporate the 1900C torque gauge (which is accurate) into the 1900D panel. The 1900D torque gauge is very innacurate. I know that there are slight differences between the REAL 1900C & D torque gauges...but the default King Air torque gauge in the 1900D just looks stupid.2) Does anyone know where I can find a repaint of the 1900D (NOT the 1900C) for Big Sky Airlines? I stink at repainting aircraft......thanks for any responses.-Mark

When I sit at the gate with my APU running, I know it uses fuel from my #2 tank. But lets say I'm sitting at the gate and am suddenly delayed or have been running my APU for a long while, naturally I would use more fuel from that tank. But when I'm in the air, my #2 and #3 tanks are unbalanced. This doesn't set off any imbalance alarms but it does cause problems when I hit TANK/EGN. Since the X FEED valves are open, shouldn't the tanks automatically equalise or am I supposed to use the override pumps for this which I've been doing? Or is there another procedure that I don't know about?Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/suppo…

Despite setting TGT SPD in the CLB interface in the FMC to 293/0.78 (or MAX RATE or any other setting), when I engage VNAV speed drops down to 250 knots even after exceeding SPD REST of 250/10000. Any thoughts on why this is the case, and how to resolve it? I have reviewed the manual, and this is the quote:"TGT SPD: The Airspeed / Mach numberdisplayed at 2L represents that target climbspeed/mach number for the climb phase offlight. This is the target climb speed towhich the airplane will accelerate if operatedunder VNAV once the airplane is clear ofother, more restrictive speed constraints forflaps or regulated airspace."Of note, I am able to select VNAV, and it will co…

I've noticed that on landing approach I get a warning light message on the glareshield annunciator panel for "air conditioning". I'm stumped as to what this is telling me and how to correct it, if needed. This occurs on the 737-900. I haven't looked for it on other models, e.g. 600, 700, 800. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Jim
