I'm doing a flight right now (and to post this i alt-tabbed, and it wont go back into FS9 now :(, so I might have to abandon the flight :() but I have the vnav speed on, and you can see where its supposed to be, but the plane keeps creeping forward with the speed... the engines arent decreasing power to make up for it... as you can see i'm already above the speed I should be at and i'm gaining a knot every 3-4 seconds...any reason for this? can't figure it out

I am running the 744 on dual LCD monitors in "spanned horizontal" mode using a 7900GTO card with nVidia 91.47. It is beautiful and the VC is great with 38" of diagonal paradise. However I have a very weird thing happen when I run the sim in 2560x1024 resolution, and only that specific resolution, as follows: whenever I am in the VC and click on anything that is clickable, the 2-D panel suddenly appears. For e.g., when I click the MCP ALT button in the VC, the 2-D panel suddenly appears at the lower half of my screen until I finish clicking the ALT button. Does anybody know the correct entry into the aircraft config. for 'CHINA SOUTHWEST' so that atc will recognize. As in quite a few of the livery add ons for the PMDGs, this ones not correct in the exe file. I have searched but can't find.Dick.

Hi:I had successfully managed to program my GFmodules with PDMG 737-700.I just downloaded the 800/900 version and lost most of the configuration.Apparently the key commands do not work the same.anyone has had the same problem??regards

I have a small issue with the autopilot appr bouton on the PMDG 737-800. I made some flight with this plane since two month and at each time and at any airport when I engage the appr bouton the bouton light turned on, the plane intercept the localizer and the glide and the appr bouton light turned off.The plane follow correctly the ILS but the light is just off.I have set the ILS Frequency on the two NAV, the CRS is set following the MCDU information.It's not a big issue but it's not realistic to make a CAT3 approach with the APPR bouton light off...If somebody could help me on this issue... Hello all, I know this is not really directly related to PMDG and it's products but I am in need of some advice from the great PMDG forum gang on purchasing a new joystick. I' ve pretty much narrowed it down to the SAITEK EVO / EVO FORCE / EVO WIRELESS controls since I do not want to spend the money on an X 52 right now. However I would like to know what you all think about the afore mentioned brand and what type of flight controls most of you use.Any input or opinions would be much appreciated.Looking forward to your comments.Zsolt

Captains-to update on what I wrote below:It's now 20Feb07 and we still have received no reply from GoFlight on the EFIS module issue. As such, we see no other solution but to release the existing driver for sale in its current condition, since the MCP Pro portion of it works at least as well as it should be expected.The current issue is with the EFIS module - we feel it's going to require a firmware upgrade on the module itself, something PMDG cannot control. As such, even though we include support for the module, we do not claim 100% compatibility with it.We would like to believe GoFlight is actively working to fix the problem, so if/when we hear about it from them, we'l…

Good day all. I was having problems with FS lately. Everytime FS would switch times from night to day, or day to night, FS would crash. I was given a tip to backup my config folder, then delete it and allow FS to reconfigure itself. That worked. But I recently accidentally erased the config file without backing it up. I would like to reinstall MSFS. My question is this: how can I uninstall MSFS and then reinstall it without losing my PMDG aircraft? I can download my other airplanes again, but I can't download my PMDG again since the time download time lapsed a while ago. Can anyone help. Thanks.-- Jake

The other day I was flying from Seattle to Honolulu when my #3 engine caught fire. I followed the abnormal procedure to shut-down the engine and extinguish the fire. Then I went to trim the rudder but I think I have my physics mixed up.Now when and engine fails, you trim your rudder toward the good engine, right? That is, in my case, I should have my rudder deflecting toward my #1 and 2 engines to compensate for the loss of thrust on my right, right? When I did that, the nose yawed to the right. I purchased a redownload extended service from pmdgI got a response email but I never was sent a new link and when looking in the ecommerce section of the site , my download link was not restored. I would ask anyone who has knowledge to update this inquiry. I've always wondered why PMDG hadn't included numbers on the ND Compass rose that tilted with the arc. I've seen this on numerous other add-on aircraft. The other day, I discovered something that my eye has always missed in the PMDG menu - "Conformal magnetic heading digits". I said "Oh! Yes!", but my happiness was short lived - I was greeted by an FPS warning, and when I returned to the panel, my FPS were halved! I noticed the FPS warning in the manual, but I'm still not able to understand why it would have such an impact on FPS. I've seen this on numerous other add-ons which didn't seem to have much of an impact. Is this something specific to the 747 compass rose?Thanks…

In the past, with older AIRAC cycles for PMDG Aircraft, I was able to enter VHHX (KaiTak) as the destination airport in the FMC. I had also added the VHHX SIDSTARS and was able to select them in the FMC and fly in and out of there. With the new AIRAC 0613 cycle, and wanting to fly to VHHX (KaiTak) I was unable to enter VHHX or VHXX as the destination airport. It was not until I removed the new 0613 AIRAC cycle from the FMCWP folder in the FS9 directory and replaced it with the 0608 AIRAC instead then I could once again select VHHX. I would like to know if it is possible to somehow correct this without removing, replacing AIRAC's. I do appreciate the new AIRAC's with the u…

Whilst flying I have tried to do an emergency engine start after killing all four engines. I am able to start all four engines simultaneously, however if I just start engine 4 for example, the other three engines drop to 0rpm and after that it seems impossible to get them started again. Anyone seen this problem and know how to get them started again?

I have just purchased the PMDG 737-600/700 as a download. I already have the 737/800.900 on disc. Following the purchase of the download, I uninstalled the 800.900 with the provided uninstaller, and loaded the 600.700 which seemed to be fine, all working ok. I then loaded the 800.900 as instructed and found that this had removed the gauges from the 600.700.. I have searched the FAQs and found an item mentioning this problem, saying follow this link for a patch which solves the problem , unfortunately when you follow the link there is no patch there. Advice from someone please, how to resolve this problem. John Harvey. Cypilot.

It looks I have a problem there...I fly both 747 and 737 with FS Passengers and if all goes OK with the 747 I cannot say the same with the 737.On all but 1 flight ( 1 out of 8 ) I get a double engine failure after 45 minutes or so.Impossible to restart and...usually I crash and kill all on board !!!Today I managed to land on a runway but I'm then told that I declare a false emergency from what I deduct that the problem is related to the plane.However , I've then been able to restart the engines once on ground !!!And that's where I'm lost....especially because I do not experience any failures on the 737 when I fly without FS Passengers.I have no failures set for PMDG and 3…
