Dear PMDG,However much I am not opposed to the new activation system in the 747-400, It can be a nuisance sometimes when the activation limit is reached due to frequent problems and reinstalls. I was wondering if your future products would have an "Activation transfer" option like in a lot of modern industry-standard products, so that when you just reinstall FS, or reinstall the 747-400 due to a problem you can select an option to let your PMDG activation remain on the computer during the uninstall, and you won't have to reactivate upon reinstall, unless you do a complete reformat. Best Regards,Robin Bilgil

I can't remember where the precedure is in the manual. I looked for about an hour and a half and I can't find where to switch the HDG from NORM to TRUE. All I know is that you do that in the extream north or south. I just don't remember the exact latitude. I'm over the Pacific now heading north. 5. I just crashed the ALOHA 737-700 NG two-thirds of a mile short of landing at a regional airport near KSEA. Both engines failed at about 7000' on descent for reasons I cannot determine and both blue lights went on in the overhead panel by the generator. Something went wrong with the AT when I clicked off the AP and the AT earlier for a hand fly approach. I desperately tried to get the blue overhead lights off but no luck. I checked the AT annunciator on the forward panel and clicked that but nothing worked.Anyway, I had ENG FAIL illuminated on the EICAS and had no idea how to do a re-start. I was so frustrated. Nothing seemed to work. I nearly managed to glide in bu…

Hi everyone! If I'm not mistaken, there's been an option in MSFS settings, which allows to place the AC into the departure airport with no engine started. Or was it an option in PMDG Settings? Now the AC always appears at the initial airport with all engines (and APU as well, I believe) started. Is it possible to disable this? Or do I have to choose some "cold & dark" scenario every time I'd like to start everything manually rather than relay on MSFS accuracy?Thanx in advance!-- M.A.P.

Gents,Driving along the A40 last week I managed to stop & observe a few 744 departures before moving on. The a/c were obviously heavy & did not seem to commence turns - left on to HDG 053 if departing N (BPK or BUZAD) or right onto HDG 124 if heading S (DET, DVR or MID) until above approx 500-700' agl, none appeared to commence the turn at exactly the same point although my eyes may have deceived me!! I suspect these turns shortly after take off are required to comply with noise abatement procedures. My question is (John B can you help??):As these wpts are only a short distance from the DER of each rwy is an LNAV departure normally used, or do real-world pilots s…

I just purchased the B1900C after flying the 1900D for quite a bit in both FS9 and FSX. My first flight in the 1900C (in FS9), however, was quite disappointing. The ground handling is quite bad as I can not keep the a/c heading in a straight line. And, I can not turn to the right no matter how hard I try. I have recalibrated my CH Yoke three times and have the same problem. While holding short on the runway at Anchorage (after I slewed there), I couldn't even go forward to get in the middle of the runway to line up for take off. The a/c turned left so radically that I couldn't get it on the runway at all. This bothers me as I just flew the 1900D in FSX this morning…

I've been tryingto assign one of the CHTQ levers to the spoilers on the PMDG 737 seriswithout success. I can get the lever to cause them to operate, but I can't seem to get the lever to just arm the spoilers. When I do get the spoiler lever to the arm position, the spoilers are deployed to a certain degree.Has anyone one been able to accomplish this? I'm using a registered ver. of FSUIPC with joysticks disabled in FS9 and attempting to program the yoke, TQ and pedals through FSUIPC. The only stickler is being ableto arm the spoilers with the TQ.Thanks for any help. Jim

I was on VATSIM with the PMDG 737-700 and was instructed to fly direct to a waypoint rather than proceed with the flight plan as filed. Suddenly I realized I have never done that before nor could I figure out how to do it with the FMC. I disconnected from the session rather than continue. So how do you fly direct to a waypoint using the FMC? Please help. Thanks!Mike

Good morningSorry for this simple question for most , seems something is incorrect .When flying the 747 with a fully programmed fms , I hit the vnav button and it automatically disconnects and reverts to spd or flch and resets the speed to 100. .The vnav will not engage, Is that normal or a glitch requiring a reinstallAs a note the fms vnav program is complete and correct in the fms. hence it will not fly the vnav profileAm I forgetting something seems ,incorrect?Thank youPeter K P.EngCF-MMZToronto Ontario CanadaPMDG 747,737and 747FLevel D 767PSS Airbus pro A340-300In reality, a Mooney 201 Pilot

Hi,I have the following computer setup and was wondering what video card change I could make to possibly give better FPS in FSX. I can get 40-50 fps with scenery detail sliders on the low to mid setting. When I increase scenery sliders past mid point the fps fall to 12-15 fps. 21. Hello, I'm a happy 747PAX user from PMDG from Day1 basically. And I really enjoyed the good fuel-planning documentation that came with it. A couple of times, on 10+ hour flights, I've achieved great precision when it comes to fuel planning (within the +/- 500kg limit) and I've always been within the 1000kg limit on all of my flights. Unfortunately, the documentation does not reflect the Freighter model that much. Firstly - while some things are updated, others arent. For example - in the Flight Planning diagram, the MLW is still at 285 tonnes, although the Freighter model's MLW is about 396.5 tonnes. Similarly, the main fuel planning tables are still containing the PAX mo…

Hi,On my last flight from EGLL to KJFK I was happily cruising along at 36000 when I suddenly noticed the speed dropping and the airplane losing altitude with a high angle of attack. I tried a different thrust mode in the FMC but could only very slowly get the speed up again. What am I doing wrong ? I can only think that my weight maybe was too high for the altitude I was flying at. Could this be it or is there something I have overlooked ?
