Really need some help on this problem similar to a PMDG problem i had a couple of years ago.I have just had a new system built and after installing FS9, 9.1, Ultimate Traffic, PMDG737NG,737-800/900, 800/900-SERVICE U/D-1, &GE Pro in that order, i downloaded from PMDG & Installed, American A. L., Air Can. & Continental A. L. Liveries.On attempting to start FS9, i could only get an error message from MS asking if i wished to report this error to them. In other words - no FS9. The only way to start FS9 was to uninstall (Using PMDG Removal Tool)This allowed me to start FS9. However after this i had engine sounds but absolutely no ATC or PILOT sounds & when en…

I've just recently noticed that when I save my panel state and reload it, it also shows the same amount of fuel I had when I saved. I use the Cockpit Randomizer program. I also change my load for the next flight so when I reload the panel, my fuel is reset but I don't think my weight is. Is there any easy navdata editor for PMDG's FMC data? I was trying to add one fix into the wpNavFIX.txt by simply adding a line like this:OKAMI OKAMI 58.120000 40.052400at the end of the document, but when I tried to use this fix in the game, FMC was still saying: "NOT IN DATABASE". What i did wrong?

hi guys,just wondering if anyone can help with my trim problems.everytime i use the trim it seems notchy and not very smooth,also the trim wheel sound is driving me nuts...any ideas on how to disable this sound would be great.otherwise pmdg make the best products as far as i,'m concerned and i hope they keep up the great work,joe........

Apologies if this has been asked already,I've tried a search but cannot find a suitable post - I am (was) running through the excellent advanced tutorial from H.Seilz (Frankfurt to San Francisco) - as this is an 11hr flight I have had to save / reload the flight a couple of times , problem is last time I did a save and switched back to the flight, engine no.3 has cut-out, I have no failures programmed - just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar issue ?. Similarly every time I switch back to the flight the autothrottle mode disconnects (still armed just no active mode) - easy enough to re-engage but just wondering if this is also a well known 'issue'.

I have a question for any developer involved in ALL PMDG FSX future add-ons. What system requirements would you RECOMMEND (not minimum) for a computer for ALL upcoming PMDG FSX add-ons? Processor speed to RAM to graphics card, etc.... What would you recommend? (I know anyone could go 'all-out', but what do you think is JUST RIGHT (not top-of-the-line)?Regards,bglass

Hello knowledged folks,My PMDG 747-400 does not navigate properly any more. It cannot stay on the purple line on the navigation screen. The simulated ground seems to shift. When landing, the displayed runway is right or left of the real runway.I have only the 747 installed.This happend after uninstalling FS-X and after installing the newest Navdata (0107).Please help! I am having trouble getting my FMC to adjust my specified CRZ ALT setting across all relevant waypoints on a flight plan.For example, I enter a CRZ ALT in the FMC of FL320, add all of my waypoints, and where my cruise altitude should now be FL320 across these waypoints, I get FL410, or FL390 or something else entirely.Is there something I am doing incorrectly? Is this a bug?No matter what order I do things in - whether I input flightplan waypoints first then input the CRZ ALT, or add CRZ ALT first - activate and then waypoints, the same result.I just want to be able to specify a certain CRZ ALT in the FMC and have it translate to my waypoints.At the moment, I am finding …

Hello,I recently have returned back to Flight Simulator and brought and went back to using the pmdg 737-800 for my flights. However, I have gotten some problems in both flights I have done thus far.1) The airaft lights fail during the flight2) Cannot tune ILS, EFIS/NAV disagree. Never had gotten this message when I used the plane before. Yes the NAV frequestly for the ILS is tuned, for instance I am on approach runway 26L at Miami, 7nm out on approach switch to the approach view on the ND, but I get EFIS/NAV disagree, yet i see the DME counting. However in the last flight I just did I had everything correctly tuned this time landing at Guatemala, no sign of the ILS workin…

I have a question for the forum. When FSX came out I removed all of my FS9 related items and FS9. Unhappy with FS10 after playing with it and the available planes, tweaks, etc., I removed it completely and reinstalled FS9 and all related add-ons.Today I installed the scenery/runway update for KATL. This was file katl_ils_v1.1.zip from the Avsim library. It adds the new 10-28 runway plus other scenery. I followed the install directions to the letter. The FS9 compiled properly and all looks good at KATL in FS9 including all the new buildings and runway 10-28. I then copied the cycle 0701 from planepath to the pmdg sidstars file overwriting the KATL.txt file. Now when at KAT…

Using the 747 PAX (cargo version and all updates installed) parked at CYYZ Terminal 2. I go into spot plane view and using the cursor keys on the numeric keypad I try to "move" the view around the aircraft. I can get no frontal view of the aircraft - all other views are OK. What am I doing wrong?If it means anything I replaced my video card about a month after installing all the 747 updates. I went from an nVidia 6600GT 128MB DDR3 to nVidia 7800GS 256MB DDR3.Mark

Hi, all.I'm writing a professional APA style paper for a class in college. I'm looking for some repaints in Companies Liveries with the Airline Tail logo still there. For Example. A 777 painted in the Home Depot Logo with Delta's Tail still there. Or a 737 Painted in Wal-Mart Logo with Southwest's Tail Colors. So I would like the Entire Aircraft painted in the Company representation with just the Airline's Tail. I really don't need the Repaint for I have no intentions on flying them. I've noted a problem using the PMDG 747-400.I purchased a new 19" monitor and I'm using the older monitor as a second monitor to show other windows (like overhead, thrust, FMS, and so on).Using only one monitor, I have, in cruise phase, 25-30 fps and in final approach (using addon scenery like LAGO Rome) 15-18 fps. If I use two monitor (the overhead panel open in the older monitor) or if I open the overhead panel in using only one monitor, the frame rate decrease to < 10 fps (sometimes < 5 fps).I'd like to ask to PMDG 747 users if you have noted the same problem.Thanks in advance.Regards

I just reinstalled my PC and also installed FS and PMDG 737 again. I remember when I first used PMDG 737 last year is that you needed to install a patch or few patches to solve some problems.So my question is: What update of PMDG 737 is needed to solve the following problems:- The engine faillures at V1 during take off.- The strange cruise pitch at cruising altitude. The problem with the nose that is a little bit two high during the cruise.I already installed the patches at the PMDG website, so are those problems solved then?I know those problems were reported on the forum but I searched for an hour and I couldn't find them back.Regards,Dimitri

Hey Guys,I was just wondering back in the day (guess about 3 years ago) there were talks about making all the 747-400 versions, such as the -400M (combo part passengers part cargo) but it unfortantely never came out. Are you guys planning the -400M for FSX or is it off the production line? In the PMDG 747 my plane gauges switch off after a few seconds when I start my flight, and I don't know how to get them back from there onwards. Why does this happen? I can definitely tell you that this is a clean install, I used the official installer application and entered by details etc, so its not a corrupt install.Why is this happening?I also have the PMDG 737 600/700/800/900 installed too by the way as well as the Beechcraft B1900C.

On the following video linked below this paragraph, the 747 Captain initiates speed intervene mode shortly after takeoff. LNAV and VNAV are engaged, as well as the center autopilot. Note the aircraft is still well below 10,000 ft (and hence the standard 250kt 'speed limit') when the Captain announces "speed intervene" and dials the MCP speed window to 342 knots. Question: is speed intervene mode on the real -400 only 'armed' below 10,000 ft when VNAV is engaged? On the PMDG 747 speed intervene below 10,000 ft will accelerate the aircraft to the MCP commanded speed. Using quick start Control E, both engines start up ok and both spool up together. I programme FMC and prepare to take-off and suddenly find right-hand throttle doesn't work. Checking throttle window shows left-hand engine lever only is moving. I can move either of the levers using mouse. (I use a single AETi throttle which operates both engines). Help appreciated. I'm obviously missing something. BCA42 Gordon Evans.
