i am interested in purchasing your 747-400 "Queen of the Skies", i believe you state on your site that the aircraft requires 1.4 on the processor, is this the BARE minimum or is this the minimum ENJOYABLE.in other words, if someone has a 1.4, will they have lets say 2 FPS or a more enjoyable 8-12.....hope its not confusing...... thanksSincerely: Kylan :-newbie(the below is not my system but my dads, not sure why its there) :-hmmm

Sorry to ask so many questions. The "A" key works fine on my computer keyboard, but when I press "A" to input into the FMC from the computer keyboard it does not work, I have to press the button to get an A in. Other keys seem ok.Greg

Hello all, back again with another little issue, I have done a few flights with the ng and noticed that she doesn't like to hold the ils, at least not into eddl, eddf and loww. Now I might be doing something wrong, but it seems that she follows it and then lets go right before the MM. I use as6 so I hope that does not interfere. I had the proper freq and course dialled in so am a bit puzzled. Any advice much appreciated.Regards: Zsolt

At what speed or point in the takeoff roll should the ND wind speed and vector indicator "come alive"? It seems to be around 80-90 knots in my recent experience. Is this normal ? Jonathan

I do not know what AIRAC cycle I am on ... but I do not remember downloading for a while. If I go to the Navigraph web site, they ask me to pay: is this new or all the time people have been paying to obtain AIRAC data?- Neeraj

Hi everyone,I'm a relatively low-tech simmer. I don't have any pushback add-ons, and only use pushback features that come with a packaged aircraft like the PMDG 747-400.While it wasn't a problem in the past, I can no longer pushback the 737NG (600/700) by using the SHIFT-P feature of FS2004. I changed the assignment from SHIFT-P to CTRL-P, but that hasn't worked either.Does anybody know what may be wrong and how I can go about fixing the problem? I've been resorting to slewing to pushback the 737.Thanks!

When I try to open the main doors with Shift+E it shows the green bar saying main door opening and closes by saying main door open but when looking at my external model and on my EICAS drs there is nothing open HELP PLZ!!!!!!!!!!x(

Hi Guys,I am practising the PMDG type rating course 4..I have never faced this problem before..Here are the steps that i follow:1) Select Clb-2 for the climb thrust in the FMC.2) Set brakes to RTO3) Bring up thrust to 70%4) Hit TOGA.5) At Vr I rotate6) As soon as V2 callout happens the plane starts honking...I have cheked for the possibility of tailstrike but there is no tail strike..I always face this problem when I restart the lesson with autopilot engaged from prev flight lesson..I mean i fly the lesson and engage the autopilot at 1000 ft AGL and level out at 5000 ft.If this is the first time I am flying after starting FS then there is no honking sound after rotation.B…

New the 747-400. I would like to exeriment with both the 32 bit and DXT textures to assess impact on frame rates.Once I install a given livery if I do not like it how can I delete it to install the different texture type? Just reinstall choosing different texture class?ThanksGreg

I have had several TCAS alerts in the 744 flying into KIAD 19L. Twice or three times I have had TRAFFIC ! alerts at around 1500 AGL on approach going to "Descend! Descend!" as smaller traffic comes roaring in over my head for 19L as well.In real life, would this really happen? I mean, how do you descend fast to avoid traffic from 1500 or 1000 AGL on app into any airport when flying the Queen?Jonathan

Having had to reformat my C drive, re-installed FS9 a couple of times to get it working, re-installed PMDG once and so on, I seem to have got in a right old mess.I am now trying to re-install PMDG 747 into FS9 which is now stable. But I keep getting an error message telling me I have a later version of PMDG747 already installed. I now cannot seem to uninstall the previous version and cannot start again.What a mess!Any help would be appreciated. These are all licensed programs I am using.ThanksRob Payne;(

When i started my flight to ksea today my FMC had NOTHING for an arr and runways into ksea. Anyone have any ideas? I have fly Tampa seattle and i was flying the pmdg 747.Any help would be great!ThanksShawn

Hello all, I am experiecing some strange things here. I downloaded the O&O defrag tool and tried it. After the first defrag my FS9 performance was the worst I ever had. Very slow and unflyable. I then performed a system restore. This time I tried to load the 744 and got an error message saying the PMDG Sound processor wouldn't load, and FS9 closed. I then defragged again, got good loading time and performance but as I tried to pan around in the 2D cockpit of the 744, FS9 locked up and crashed. Please, please help. Best regards: Zsolt Szivak

Hi, this is a bit off topic but I am planning to purchase a 24" Wide screen Monitor from Dell and run FS2004/PMDG Products. Does anyone use Wide Screen Monitor or is there any disadvantage such as distortion of instrument panel. It does not happen on my current 17" Standard Monitor and I need an advice from anyone who use it. Thanks !

After hearing such good things on here about FSUIPC, I decided to purchase a registration key. Entered the number and was told to re-start MSFS in order to complete the setup process. Now whenever I try to start MSFS I get a message that says:"PMDG ERROR" You need FSUIPC v3.48 or later. Microsoft Flight Simulator will now close!" I can't access MSFS at all now and don't know what to do. Please help!Regards,Martin Neep

Ok, I have been flying PMDG's excellent Queen for a couple of months now and cannot for the life of me get V/S mode to disengage while on the ground with the autopilot off. Whether I'm taxiing for takeoff or after landing, it seems once I engage the V/S mode (vertical speed), I cannot disengage it. I can turn off everything else on the autopilot except for V/S. It's button stays lit and nothing I do seems to unlight it. I have read the dox and couldn't find the answer. Any suggestions? Robert Williamson

Gents:Just installed a new sata drive and moving FS9 there. I know I have to reactivate the 747 and 747F but do I also have to reactivate the 737? IF so then the 737 must be done first?RegardsRick

I am having some major problems with the Queen:1) All of the gauges on the First Officer side of the cockpit are unusable. The LCD, FMC, and Radio displays are black, and all of the controls are unresponsive.2) The Speed and heading knobs on the MCP are unresponsive; I turn them, but nothing happens.Could these problems be caused by the fact that I installed the 737-800/900 add-on a week ago? I had the 737-600/700 installed before the Queen, but not the -800/900.

Hello,is there any way that a virtual co-pilot selects the com frequencies which are necessary duringflights and who confirms ATC commands? In FS9 it is alway necessary to respond to ATCotherwise 'radio service is termindated'. This is annoying during long haul flight because one wants to sleep also... :-)Thanks. Alex

Just wanted to post some thoughts as we spin into FSX. I have been a simmer for a while, been through all the FS products and spent way too much, according to the one who always asking the questions while I am on final to miniums. Today thinking I needed to complete my FEDEX fleet with a Airbus product,and of course not waiting for the new PMDG product I spent over $30.00 and got what I would call something I would expected back in the earlier days of simming, not today. Someday I'll learn and to be a little more patient and wait for developers like PMDG who have consistently produce a quality aircraft at a decent price, and not buy a airplane that required a freeware pa…
