HelloI've been trying to no avail for the past several days to get the 747 to successfully complete a flight. For some reason, it keeps overspeeding. I have, to the best of my knowledge, correctly set up the FMC with my route and altitude data. Turned on the Flight Director on the ground, along with LNAV. Once established in the climb, turned on the AutoThrottle, VNAV, and the autopilot. It handles the climb just fine, pitching to hold the set airspeed. But as soon as it reaches its cruise altitude, it levels, and eventually overspeeds. Since I'm using FSPassengers, this is somewhat annoying to say the least. Hello,I find the Hydraulics Section of the Manual misleading in terms of wording. I still don't know much about the 747 but normally the term "Demand pumps" refers to the pumps that operate when the eninge driven pumps fail or there is aditional *demand*. This it should read:"Each hydraulic system is comprised of a hydraulic, reservoir, an engine driven pump, electrical demand pump (engine 2 and 3) or hydraulic driven demand pump (engine 1 and 4)"The term "engine driven demand pump" IMHO does not make any sense and so doesn't "Auxiliary Demand Pump". It should be either "Auxiliary Pump" (misleading because in this context it does not mean the No 4. AUX !!!) or "Demand Pum…

HiCan someone please help me. I just bought the 747 and it is indeed fantastic in nearly every way possible, except for one tiny little thing.The nose gear animation. Sure, the aircraft turns on the ground when I move the rudder, but the nose wheel does not turn an inch. I know its a stupid little thing but it is very annoying, especially when you admire the beautiful bird from the outside during taxi etc.....I have tried to turn the autorudder off as suggested in the faq, but without any result. And i've seen other suggestions i several other posts that you have to bee moving forward for the nose wheel to turn but no. seems like something wrong with the animation or ???…

Hello,I have purchased and tried to install the 737-800/900 addition to my collection. I already have the 600/700 version installed and when I tried to install the 800/900 I have some corrupted gauges in the cockpit.My install order was 1. PMDG 737-600/700 base pack updated to 1.32. PMDG 737-800/900 base pack3. PMDG 737-800/900 service update 14. Hey all. I've been having an odd problem with the panel. I guess it's more of a pet peeve than anything. I was flying from KABQ to KELP and the winds were 282 at 32. For some reason the plane was flying as if it had a crosswind 180 degrees opposite of what it was. I have included a picture below. It seems it happens on southbound flights for me, as I saw the same thing going from ksfo to klax. Westbound/eastbound flights it's not as prominent. Hi all,So I have been considering getting the 737 NG 800/900 upgrade. I read that this update makes the 600/700 perform better, such as better Frame Rates. Is this true?Other than the larger planes, are there significant upgrades in the 800/900 and do you recommend?

I installed the 737 & 747 software for the 600 thru 900 and the 747-400 software. I would like to uninstall and re-install the software because of fps issues. How do I go about doing this?John

Hi all,I purchased the PMDG 747 and 737s last year. Well, my computer crapped out on me sometime during the last 6 months while i was deployed. I bought a new system and paid for the revalidation links to get my aircraft on my new computer. Well, I placed the order last week and I have still not heard from anyone other than the standard email saying you recieved my payment. I am not sure if there is a backup or something but if someone could please look into it for me i would greatly appreciate it. Ever since I bought my 737s, I've been noticing that many textures on the aircrafts randomnly disappear. Parts of the cockpit, fuselage, engines, wings, elevators, etc. just go missing. They are left blank with no details or colour whatsoever. The overall performance of FS9 is fine so something has to be wrong. I tried re-installing but that didn't help. Technical support didn't tell me much either.I have windows XP, intel pentium 4, 2.6 Ghz, 512 mb of RAM, Sapphire ATI Radeon X1600 Pro with 512 mb of memory also (and yes, I have the correct drivers installed for my vid card).Any help would be appreciated. :)

Is there a limitation on the number of waypoints on the 747-400? I recently tried a flight from Mumbai (VABB) to Heathrow (EGLL) which had 56 waypoints I entered manually.I encountered some funny behavior: LEGS mode stopped going to NEXT pages after some point, and destination was deleted from the RTE page. I must admit I did not do a lot of troubleshooting because I had to dump fuel and return to Mumbai after an hour ... but just wondering if there is a limit?- Neeraj.

Hello everybody, This might be of interest for all the 747 lovers out there... It's a wave off of a KLM 747-400 at Groningen Airport Eelde in the north of Holland. This is the airport where most of the KLM pilots learn to fly at the KLM Flight Academy. Sometimes aircraft of KLM visit the place after a test flight on the way back to Schiphol. Does anyone know of an Air Bridge Cargo repaint for the 747F. I believe they will receive them in the future so I cant belive there are no repaints. I have searched but I hope I am missing something.Thanks

This is what I called the "Silent Auto-Throttle Disconnect"I started my flight in VHHH. All sytems were working fine and all speeds, restrictions, cost index, you name it I had it.Climbing to FL340, I discovered the airplane was loosing speed with no apparent reason.It also halted in 24000ft with not Vert Speed indication. Stabilized.I found it weird since MCP was properly programmed to FL340, LNAV and VNAV activated, AP on, F/D on, A/T arm also on. To my surprise I noticed the EICAS was indicating 90% N1 in CLB mode. I just purchased and downloaded the PDMG 747 and when trying to install I get a "Installation cannot continue. You do not have Flisght Simulator installed". I do have flight simulator (both FS9.1 and FSX) What is hapenning???????????????

I wanted to try some engine failure takeoffs (just prior to V2) and selected it for engine 1 in the PMDG failures menu.After I pass V1, engine 1 does fail but I get no audible master Warning/Caution at all, I only see amber messages come up on the upper EICAS. Is this correct?Jay

While flying the 737 tutorial by Tim Metzinger I was practicing the approach to KTNT rw 09 in the second flight. I can not seem to get the second AP to engage and end up making a manual landing. The tutorial says to press CMD B at flaps 30, but by then the approach light is off and I seem committed to a single channel AP landing. How do I activate both APs for the autoland?? Thanks. Tom
