Hi all, Yesterday I noticed that there is suddenly a problem with the cockpit displays of the PMDG aircraft on my computer. Some of the fonts which are used on the PFD, ND and EICAS displays are slightly bigger than before. This causes some problems, e.g. the digital readout of the EGT is not completely visible, the EICAS messages are partly overlapped with the engine displays etc. Affected by this phenomenon are the PMDG-737NG, the PMDG-744 and LDS-767. I checked the FAQ's and this support forum. In the FAQ of the 737-NG display problems were reported which had to do with a wrong setting of the windows DPI size. Having a small problem with the database in PMDG 737. I have the latest Airac cycle installed together with the AIO. I note that LSGG shows no SIDS OR STARS. I have downloaded the SIDS and STARS for LSGG from Navdata, do I extract them to PMDG SIDS and STARS or the FMCWP file. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a few screenshots from a recent flight between YSSY & KLAX. I was unfortunately unable to complete the flight (over 65% complete) due to my computer closing FS9 for some reason. I've saved them in MS Word. But I can't figure out how to add them to this post. Can someone please help? I think they might be appreciated, given the airline and this particular livery & time of day it was shot! ;-)Thanks,

All,Until just recently (yesterday) I had the PMDG 747 installed in FS9 (with SP) and it worked fine. I then bought FS X and installed it, to see if my PC could handle FS X (it couldn't). So I uninstalled FS X (using Control Panel - Add remove programs). I then tried to set up a flight from Taipei to Hong Kong and the PMDG 747 load manager couldn't find a FS installed (Even though FS 9 was still installed and the 747 was installed on the FS 9 file path).So I decided to uninstall the 747 (again via Control Panel - Add remove programs) and reinstall the 747. I uninstalled successfully and tried to reinstall the 747 but it gave me the same message about not finding FS instal…

g'day...no doubt you're all aware of the changes to London airspace with the latest airac (0703).STARs into LHR and LGW have changed a little.Simon Butler kindly gave me his permission to amend his excellent pmdg procedure files for the changes.They are available from the navdata sids/stars database and from avsim (available already on the former, just uploaded them on the latter and will take a little while to appear in the database).for use with 0703 and later.fyi.

Greetings,Having downloaded the 737ng several weeks ago I have found very poor performance using this aircraft. When using 2d and VC configurations with various types of scenarios the results are still the same. Initially I converted all outside textures to dxt3 and subsequently to dxt1 to decrease system load but to no avial. My pc is not high end to be fair to it. In determination to get this superb aircraft to function I have removed fs9 in the correct manner, updated my drivers too (drivercleaner etc) and re installed a brand new sim. I currently have installed fsglobal, gepro, activesky and real environment pro. I do not have any airport or scenery add on, nor have I…

I've installed the PMDG737-600/700/800/900 with all the service packs but now i've really got serious problem witht the VNAV. Can anyone help me? Much thanks.1.Even though everything is set correctly in the FMC with FD and A/T armed, the VNAV still cannot be armed on ground. 2.VNAV occasionally fail to be engaged after airbone, or cannot coordinate with N1 Limit, causing aircraft to lose control and crash.3.FMC calculated descend path is very wierd. Cannot follow the altitude restricitons entered in FMC LEGS page. When VNAV mode engaged, FMC Message 'DES PATH UNACHIEVABLE', then Autopilot jumps to either LVL CHANGE or ALT HOLD mode.

Hi folks. I have been flying the PMDG 737-700 for about 2 years now, but haven't until recently been using STARS's when approaching my destination airport, or for that matter using SID's/DP's when leaving. Lately I starting using NACO - Digital Terminal Procedures Search and FlightAware - Free Flight Tracker - IFR Flight Status, Tracking, History, Maps, to plan my routes and figure out what SID/STAR combo's are being used by real world airlines. I am now enjoying my flighs a lot more knowing that I am flying the real procedures.With this being said, my question is regarding the VNAV function. I never used it before. I'm sure this has been brought before, however I would like to revisit the issue. With the huge popularity of the PMDG, I'm a bit supprised that there is know voice support, i.e. aircraft training with the products. As a private pilot myself, training is pivotal when climing in a new aircraft, even if it's at home. Is anything possible in the near future???.once again,Chris F.

As I upgraded to Vista Ultimate I tried to reinstall PMDG747-400,Validation of the software went well but it says"Instllation can't continue, you don't FS installed"Instllation of PMDG737/600/700 succeeded, butPMDG737-800/900 & 747-400Queen of the skies failed to install.Please help me.

Procedures based on FAA Digital Aeronautical Information for current cycle (0703 15Mar-12Apr). All published procedures are included (except circling-minima only VOR). SIDs/STARs are enumerated for each departure runway or approach for routing and are provided "as-published" for use with ATC vectors (such as VATSIM). The enclosed readme includes departure and arrival tables to assist in their selection and use. Available either AVSIM FS2004 Flight Plans library or NavData.

I have several other liveries for various 737's, but this one performs terribly. There is a drop from my locked 23 frames to 10 or so every few seconds causes lurches. Any ideas on why for just this liv?Noel

I need some help converting the full side texture file to the bitmap used for repaint textures.I know that the first 1024 pixels and the last 1024 pixels make up the top and third row of the fuse_t.bmp , but at what point do I start the middle row?Thanks in advance!

Hi,I'm very grateful for PMDG 747 Type Rating Course. I'd like to see some extra tutorials to follow, if possible :)What about some non-precision approaches tutorial? I'd love to see how to set up 747 for VOR DME approach, for example famous TNCM approach or any other difficult non-precision approach (Kathmandu VNKT is one of my favourite). Take off 'manual' for TNCM would also be welcomed :) I've read a little bit about non-prec app. (including original 747 AOM) but still some clarification is needed, especially if it's coming from some pro pilot... :)Thank you in advance!GfRam, EDDF

1. After startup all 4 engines by normal procedures, I check the flight controls system in secondary EICAS STAT page. Sometimes I can see the Outboard Aileron comes up when I move. But sometimes they don't. Why? 2. After your engines have stabilized at about 70% of N1, hold a moment then press To/GA button. What exactly the "moment" is. Cause if I hold the "moment" for a little longer then press T0/GA , I'll get "Takeoff speed Deleted" in CDU, and "No VSPD" also in PFD.

Last time I posted this problem was 3 weeks ago. Someone told me to go and do a search because there are a few threads about this problem. Well I did that 3 weeks ago. Ended up reformatting the computer anyways. Installed FS2004 and the PMDG 747. Founds some tweaks to make FS2004 run smooth. Have done maintenence every night on this computer after I fly flight i.e Defrag, disk scan, virus scan, registry scan, spyware scan, deleted stuff in the temp folder, deleted stuff in the temporary internet files folder, no processes are running in the background other than TrackIR. The PMDG 747 is updated. Everything was running great for the last 3 weeks up until last night! AGAIN!…

Is there a free version of the ARIAC revision 702 Navigation data? I downloaded Craig Read's tut of the PMDG 747 Heathrow to Los Angeles but it says I need the revisions and provides a link. Only thing is I gotta pay to download it.

I reinstaled the ng series and tried to use shift + / to arm spoiler. Nothing hapend. And sometime i try to deply and retard it but i doesnt come back.Regards

just downloaded the 747 and can't find the load manager... thought it was in the 737 pmdg loadmanager file..help,Chris F.
