I have the 737NG (600/700 only), running FS2004 and Vista. The 737NG works fine with the default PDMG liveries, but I have installed addon liveries from both the PDMG site and AVSIM with no success. The .exe file loads fine and the folders and aircraft.cfg file look as they should, but the addon livery never shows up in the FS drop downs to select an aircraft. Any suggestions?Barry

Hi.I have the CD-Version of the PMDG 737-600/700/800/900 installed on my desktop computer as well as the 744 and 744F (both downloaded viathe PMDG-online-shop, that was in August 2005)Now i bought a notebook, and i could install easily the 737 because they were on CD. But i cannot re-download the 744 from the online shop. I have all the order numbers. My question: Since i have no lost product and all the 747 files are on my desktop computer, could any crack tell me all the files (with location) to shift to the other computer? I have the textures and the MSP Panel, but no other stuff, as well as no PMDG pop up Menu on FS (only the PMDG pop up for 737)Thanks for helpAlex fro…

Hello all - I hope someone here can help..........I have been using the 737NG 600/700 series for a while now with no problems.During that time I downloaded some of the liveries from the website, and installed them.I have just upgraded my PC, and after reinstalling the 737 (from the CD), tried to reinstall the add on liveries.I used the original download files which I had kept in a folder. All the 700 ones worked fine, but I can't seem to get the 600 ones to reinstall.I have since redownloaded the 6oo ones - same result. My new PC runs VISTA, and after I run the install shield, I get an error message saying that it did not install, and would I like to try again using the corr…

Hi AllDoes anyone know if the current FMC programme will be updated to include proper DME arc's without having to make up lots of points. and slope guideance to allow the flying of RNAV approaches using LNAV/VNAV (Boeing) and Fully Managed Approaches (Airbus)I find these to be the two main missing factors in the writing code of the current programme.CheersDavid

Hey, Everyone Long time no see. I'll skip the small talk and get down to my problem. I bought the 747-400F around Christmas time 2006 and with all of my FS addons I backed it up on CD. Well I forgot one little thing I forgot to backup my Order ID. (I don't even know what I was thinking!) My question is who do I go about contacting in order to retrive my lost Order ID?- Ryan

I have both the 737 and 747 and I love them both. This is not a gripe or a problem, just 2 simple questions. Is there a way to make a waypoint that is a radial/DME of a VOR in the FMS? Something like the ATL VOR, 130 DME on the 234 radial. Next question is, is there a way to enter in the coordinates of a fix instead of the fix name in the FMS? If my database does not contain a fix, other then edit the waypoint file, I want to enter the coordinates in the FMS. That is it for me, great products and look forward to any other new release.

HI. can someone help me. I am having problems with the PMDG 747 and FsPassengers. When I load Fspssengers it says that the flight cant be started because my doors are closed; but I configured Shift + E under the PMDG keyboard command menu. When I do press Shift + E, the doors open, but FsPassengers said my doors are still closed. Can someone help me?Thanks

I am reinstalling after messing around with FSX back to FS9. I am running windows Vista. After I start FS9 I cannot see any of the gauges on the main panel display for any of the PMDG 737 models. I can hear the engines running and have the battery turned on. Could my gauges folder be installed in the wrong area? I had FSX installed and then reinstalled FS9 also. The FS9 program installed under the FSX/simobjects/airplanes folder. Was this correct?Any help would be appreciated.ThanksMark TChicago

The brake cooling period seems to be badly modelled in the 747. The time period for the temperature to come down does not seem dependent on ambient temperature, but on time alone, i.e. it takes just as long to cool the brakes to a zero value (as displayed in EICAS) regardless of whether OAT is +10 or -60. Can this really be correct? Doesn't everything cool down faster at low ambient temperatures. Is there an exception to carbon discs?Even if the gear is retracted, the wheel-wells are to my knowledge not pressurized or heated, and the temperature inside the wells should therefore be the same as outside the a/c. But it doesn't speed up even if lowering the gear at -58 Cels…

I have revised the KORD procedures by adding a dozen departure fixes and the route to them from departure runways for use in lieu of ATC vectors. You can download this from AVSIM FS2004-Flight Plans or NavData libraries. The departures were selected based on FAA Preferred Routes and commonly filed destinations. Since KORD has no SIDS (other than the vectors-only plate), this might be useful to many that do not use VATSIM, RadarContact, etc.

Hi.. (PMDG 747 PAX)I don't quite understand what I am doing wrong.. NOW.. correct me if I am wrong here.. BUT.. as I understand the FMC.. the ROUTE pages are to enter route information, and you can do this in a short hand format.. with DIRECT.. VIA.. etc.. and airway names.. right? What happens then.. is that the waypoints associated with you portion of the airway are then automatically collected and placed in the LEGS page.. right?SO.. my question is this.. I'm just messing about really and trying some things out with my new pedals.. I am at EGNJ.. Humberside Airport.. I know it's probably a bit too small but hear me out.... At this airfield there are NO.. SIDs.. none..…

First, about the landing lights, what situation would call for only the outboard or only the inboard lights to be used? Why are there switches for both. Also, toward the end of this video ( ) you notice the runway turn off lights were switched on before touchdown. This isn't what really happens, is it? When exactly are these lights used aside from turning off the runway in low visibility? Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa296.png

Hi Ryan - I originally posted the message below in another thread in the FS9 forum regarding the OOM situation. I noticed you don't get the error, so i was wondering if you would not mind posting or sending me a copy of your FS9 Config. my email is [email protected]"Ryan would you mind pasting a copy of your FS9 CFG. I deleted my config file and let FS build a new one, so far no more OOM while flying (i did get one after parking KLAX-KJFK and attempting to switch to outside view). I want to start adding some tweaks back to my cfg but first I'd like to look at some of the settings you have. thnx Richard"Richard

After installing 737NG (all models) the 747 does not load anymore. When I choose the plane in fs9 menu and I hit the OK button the game shuts down. It doesn't load fixes or apt or airways, it just crash.Never a problem before. What could it be ?It's 3 days I am training on 737NG but I found that there is something not working.First some airways or fixes are missing (not in database) when I compile FMC route even if they are present into the files in the FMCWP folder.Second the weights on the FMC are not "true", expecially fuel, so when I insert ZFW as is showed in load manager, the gross weight will be not correct. I.E. FMC shows 20k lbs when in fs9 fuel&weight is abou…

Hi there! On my recent SIN/LHR flight, I planned for EGCC Manchester as my alternate (usually on shorter flights I don't plan for any alternate providing the weather is fine + more than one runway available). I am wondering if this was perhaps unnecessary as the weather was fine at LHR. Could I have planned no alternate or somewhere on the way like EHAM or Gatwick?Anyhow, I was just wondering for those of you that see the odd real-world 744 flight plan, is this too much reserve fuel? (tonnes)4.000 contingency5.760 alternate4.200 holding (30 min)2.000 approach fuel (this is one qantas-specific)Total: 15.990This seems a little much? Typical figures from what I've seen see…

Can anyone recommend what I should check for....After a recent install of the PMDG 737 into a new install of FS9 the PMDG 737-800 Turns sharply right on the ground when I increase the throttle power [Pro52 Controller], both engines are started and selected and rudder trim is neutral, wind is not significant enough to cause, and other default aircraft do not experience the problem when loaded at the same location / time point.I know it is something I have done, or not done but I am rather baffled - once airborne the aircraft is stable when the joystick is neutral.I have been doing Ctrl-E engine starts 'yes I know - sacrosanct' I really will do it properly tonite - could th…

Hi all in the forumI understand the difference between track and heading, and have never tried to do anything about it on a flight when in autopilot with the weather programme running. Today I was doing a flight and thought I would have a tamper with the rudder trim in the 737 and within reason could trim out the difference between the two and get track and heading to be almost together. So my question is: would this be done in real life to avoid "crabbing" or would the autopilot cope with differences?. What do you guys do.thanks for any replies.regardsJohn Calleja
