As I'm adding the dozen or so new RNP approaches for cycle 0709, I've started thinking about something I sure would like to see in the next FMS (Perhaps 737NGX): The rules require that the pilot have a continuious display of tracking error.. this is nomally displayed as a course deviation indicator (which we don't have) and crosstrack error (in nm). This hasn't been an issue in most cases but as RNP0.3 becomes more common and the new ARINC424 FMS takes shape, I sure hope this gets added to the "wish list."Along the same lines, but with a wider application, is the ability to define altitude constraints differently. Suddenly i have the following problem:Since a few days this appears on my PFD:- all airports in roster- the airport where I stand is acctually about 40 miles away- not possible to make flightplan 'cause it's not linked to the position where I stay- green message line on top of screen by take-off reaching 80knots: PMDG notification, CG not within tolerance. Aircraft not flyable!!Already tries some things: reinstall older airac...deleted FMCWP from the FS9 root folder.Anybody has an solution?Regards,Raymond

Hello all. I have for some time now experienced an issue whereby I exit FS9 and perhaps a bit later decided to fly again,only problem is the CDU will not wake up. I have to turn off the PC to get it to work again. I can use the CDU again and again if I keep FS9 running it only happens when I exit FS. Any advice would be good.Thank you.

Ryan,Which anti-virus suite are you using? This is almost certainly a false positive... I just scanned all the liveries with NOD32 and nothing came up.

Is the PMDG Express line still alive? If so, but you happen to be sitting around trying to think of a project for it, I have a request: What about the Eclipse 500?When you start getting into GA aircraft, it seems (with a few exceptions) the quality and complexity of payware products out there begin to decline a good deal... esp in the area of avionics. I would love a good payware Eclipse 500, but while I don't necessarily want something as painstakenly modeled as PMDGs main line, I've looked at JustFlight/CRJ's VLJ and based on what I've read, I'd prefer something a step up from that yet.(btw, I'd pretty much favor any product over the Airbus, Eclipse 500 or otherwise)

Hi Captains,This is somewhat very confusing for me and am not sure whether this happens in the real world too..Lets say I am holding a particular heading and now i want to execute a 180 degree (or more)right turn..I rotate the HDG knob to the right and select the new heading and now i expect it to start turning right..But sometimes i find that it turns left to track the new heading which i do not want...Some specific scenarios could be holding patterns ...I am not sure for turns with a heading difference of 180 or more what determines the direction of turn of the aircraft? How can I make sure that the aircraft makes a turn in the direction which i want it to?Pankaj

I tried to reload my PMDG 737 series. First thing I did was to uninstall them using the uninstall utility. All of my downloads of the aircraft were removed from the directory. I now no longer have them. How do I go about getting new copies?

Good Day,Just discovered something new from a fellow SQ 744 captain.He told me that the taxi and runway turnoff lights actually go off as soon as the main gear leaves ground. And back on when the main gear touches again. Because taxi and runway turnoff lights are connected to the 744's air/ground logic!Only the lights will go off and the switches will stay in the ON position until the pilots switch the switches to OFF.Is it possible for PMDG to edit the 744 file and make this possible?Im thinking it should not be impossible because already now the Autobrake switch is modeled to go to OFF automatically right after main gear leaves ground.Now this has been a change i have w…

Well, i bought the 737NG and gladly installed it today, accept, i have one odd kawinky-dink... i go up the the "PMDG" drop down box on the "Alt" menu and mine has a PMDG 744 style layout.... also, there is no "style" drop down like i keep hearing on these forums... i own the 744, and i was wondering because i did not do a full, official uninstall of my PMDG 744, i just manually removed it from my folders... (big no no i know) so, in order to get the right drop down box, i should un-install my 737NG and reinstall them both, then uninstall my 744 if i feel necessary.....This is what my drop down looks like, its the same looking one as the PMDG 744.....I thought i had seen t…

Hi ,i have a big problem when having installed the PMDG 747-400.On every long flight , or any flight with a big scenery and some changes of aircrafts first the menu bar of the FS2004 collapses and the hole windows crashes (not completly but mostly not useable anymore). First I didn't know who is causing this failure. But now i can be sure. When i have installed the PMDG 747 , i have this failure , even when the aircraft is not loaded. When i have it not installed , i don't get the failure and can fly long big flights.I have had this failure on 2 pcs. My old one , and my new one.And it's not bad hardware which is causing it : AMD4200+, 2 GB RAM, 7800 gtx with 256 mb. I don…

Hi All, I was Flying the Cargolux 747-400F on Vatsim OMSJ - ELLX There was quite a bit of traffic over Iran and i was keeping an eye on a BAW 747 flying in the opposite direction bound for Dubai. This aircraft passed me incredibly close, directly overhead but i did not recieve any tcas traffic alerts ( I was in controlled airspace tcas set up correctly) I could see him on my nav display but no alert? This is the closest i have had to a mid air collision in all my years of using FS. When i used to fly offline i would get alerts for aircraft that were not really a major threat. I just landed in the Queen in heavy blowing snow, -10C, at BIEG, Iceland on a short runway and pulled on the reversers after doing an autoland and....no reversers, arghh! I skidded all the way down the runway to a halt 6000 feet later.I tested things afterwards and found that if NAI is ON at touchdown (and I had it on for descent in this dreadful weather), then the reversers do not activate at all; but if NAI is switched OFF, then the reversers do work normally. Is this normal (or is it just me?)?Jonathan

I'm glad you think it's working normally. Maybe for you it is but not for me it ain't! I paid for extended download of the 737-600/700 - order ID: 85743. The link for this never arrived. A link did arrive for an old order but it was out of date - said so in the message! When I attempted to open this just now I got:'Error: Your request ID is incorrect. Hi all, For no apparent reason when I start FS2004 I get an error message stating that "FSUIPC version 2.9 is not found and PMGD will not work" (this isnt the exact phrase but that's the sum of it). So when I choose "cancel", FS2004 quits to desktop. If I choose "ignore" it lets me start FS2004 but then I can not load the PMDG 737, it crashes.Here's the problem. I HAVE the latest registured version of FSUIPC, and have been running it for several months with PMDG, Active Sky, WideFS etc with no problems.The only thing I did different was load the demo version of Imagine's Charlotte Douglas Int. Airport last night, but I don't see how that would screw up the FSUIPC for PMDG…

Landing:If you intercepted the Localizer you must hear the morse code identification signal, and even fly over OM, MM, IM, etc...But while I intercepted the Localizer I cant hear any morse code identification signal, even fly over OM, MM, IM, etc...I just hear like 2500, 1000...announce...So what can I do to hear the morse code identification signal again!!!

Hi!I'am new user of PMDG 737. I've some problem with autopilot. When I click CMD A or B just for stay on selected ALT i can't manualy steering the plane. Just like the ailerons are locked. But, when I click the HDG and set some heading it will turn automatic. It makes me mad, when HDG is off and CMD is ON the plane is unable to fly manual.Sorry for my english ;)

Greetings to all,I'm investigating a problem that I am having with all of my PMDG products as a whole. I possess the NG 800/900 the Queen and the Freighter. These aircraft are wonderful specimens of what the FS world is all about however I am having a specific problem with the VC in all products. When I run the NG in the virtual cockpit configuration the frames drop to 5-7 in both vc mode and spot view. When in 2d its a dream, no problems at all. When I run the NG in 2d panel only mode, no matter what textures I use DXT3 or 32 bit its runs like a movie, smooth as silk, as does my sim as a whole with any other aircraft. Hi Guys,Just purchased the PMDG747-400 "Queen of the Skies" I have done a full install on pc, re-booted and tried to load via the saved flight "PMDG 747-400 Cold and Dark KPAE" but all I am getting is Flight Simulator encountered a problem and closed, I am also unable to load it if I go first into another aircraft and then select PMDG747-400. Hello all,A couple of months ago, I purchased the PMDG737. I had tried to install it, but it never worked. I had a panel without gauges and none of the buttons were working.I had installed the latest version of FSUIPC as I was told, I had contacted the PMDG team who tried to give me many solutions, but it never worked. So, we never knew where was the problem from.Two weeks ago, I changed my computer and I hoped it'd work (I have Vista and before I had XP). But, the file that enables me to run the installation doesn't work. I had burned it on a cd, but it doesn't work when I try to run it and it makes my computer fail.I did the same thing with PMDG747 and everything worked…

Has anyone been able to add the new 'reverser effect' published by the Posky team to the PMDG B1900C ? It's reckoned that it can be added to any aircraft with reverse thrusters so thought it may just work on the 1900. Well, I don't have an awful lot of hair left (not that I had much to start with.....) after trying every which way but loose to add into the relevant areas, so if anyone can have sympathy with my scalp and assist in any way, I would really appreciate it.My thanks in advanceKevin
