Trying first flight. After pushback / engine start I found the plane moving backwards and nothing I could do seemed to stop it. (parking brake), applying thrust (no effect whatsoever, even though I was applying 100% thrust). I moved backwards through buildings and onto the runway until I got fed up and stopped the program. I had set the pushback correctly - as per the instructions in Jared Smiths tutorial.Does anyone have any ideas? ThanksM

Ciao,When I click "ctrl+F9" I get IVAP window...but FS9 main window splits in 2 parts....the lower part is blocked and the upper part is functionning...(for instance if i'm on OBSERVER VISUAL on the upper part I can move while the lower is still)...or if I'm on a page of the FMC, when I click on ctrl+F9, FMC page changes and the lateral buttons are stucked..Again...on clicking on "ctrl+F9" the altimeter setting changes..I tried to change the KEY on the IVAP CONFIGURATION....but it seems IVAP reconnaise only CTRL+F9...Or maybe is a PMDG setting "ctrl+F9" that I should change...What can I do?Thanx

Hi Captains,I just bought FSBuild for flight planning and FMC route generation and love it! Cool program. Being a newbie at it, I am having one problem that baffles me. My PMDG 747-400 drifts off course soon after departing and gets further off course the further you get into the flight. I thought that magnetic variation might not be being corrected, but that's just a guess. I am using AIRAC 0709 in all applications. My other FS aircraft don't seem to be having this problem.Any ideas?Terry

Robert, one small question. We continually hear "soon", which is not of much help to us. I'd just like to ask one simple question. With 2 days left in this month, is it likely or unlikely at this point in time that the PMDG 747-400X be released this month? If it's unlikely to be released this month, can you PLEASE just say so? I'm not asking for the release date - I'll win the $20m lottery before that happens - I just want to know the chances of us getting it this month.Regards,

Hi all, I realise this isn't a PMDG-specific post. However, as I would like to fly PMDG aircraft online in FSX, I am hoping moderators will allow this post.At present I can't fly online in FSX on the Vatsim network because Squawkbox hasn't been released (as far as I know) for use on FSX yet. So I was wondering if anyone knows when Squawkbox will be released for FSX or if it's not going to happen, what another way is to fly online on Vatsim?I hope that someone can help me with this because for me, flying online in a PMDG aircraft is the best simming experience whether it's the B1900 or the B747-400.Regards,

I've read the article in the customer support section of the PMDG website, but I still can't perform a satisfactory go-around with the 744. Can somebody help, or tell me what I'm doing wrong!!!With the A/P in CMD and LOC/GS capture I hit TOGA once at DH. FMA displays the following...THR | TOGA | TOGAThe throttles increase to about 98% N1 and the aircraft pitches up. I select FLap 20 and retract the gear once there is a positive climb.At this point it slowly turns to a bag of nails, every time!!!!The FD commands 25 DEGREES pitch!!! nose up which is way to excessive. In today's ATW Daily News at http://www.atwonline.com/news/story.html?storyID=10344 BA is reported to have ordered 12 A380s and 24 787s to replace 20 747-400s. Willie Walsh is quoted as saying that the A350 XWB, 777-300ER and 787-10 are under consideration to replace the remaining 747-400s.Is this likely to doom the 747-8? Perhaps we shall see A380s and 787s from PMDG in the fullness of time? ;-)Cheers,

Hi Guys,This may be a FS2004 limitation and perfectly understandable, but the Engine Out procedure in the FMC with the PMDG 747 is completely unrealistic. The programming logic in regard to FMC/VNAV operation during an engine failure apparently gets completely flustered if the autopilot is left engaged, and will eventually stall the aircraft. The FMC then starts to spit out two different max altitudes for E/O ops? Basically, everything just goes beserk. Again, this may be a limitation, but the manuals supplied with your product basically spells out that the FMC engine out page and VNAV intregation upon engine failure works realistically? Greetings all,I've noticed that the last few times I've used the 737, the taxi lights, along with the runway turnoff lights, are not working. I tried the -700 today and had that problem again. All of the other lights, including the main landing lights, are operating properly. Note that I didn't download that new "lights" package that some of you are talking about. Appreciate anyone's assistance. It's a bit difficult trying to taxi at night.Thanks,Ron

Hi guys, everything's great, but noticed that in the repaint area on your webby, its getting more difficult to see the repaints as more tabs are added, maybe it would be easier with the advent of more space :DJust a suggestion, keep going full steam ahead :D

Hello, i just joined this forum hoping i can get some advice with this problem i have.This is for Flight Simulator 2004, i am using windows xp, using a NVIDIA GeForce 7950T graphics card.I recently bought and downloaded PMDG 737 The Next Generation.The problem i am having is most of the gauges. Hey all!I recently got PMDG's wonderful 737 package, and am slowly working my way through the ins and outs of flying this wonderful bird... The problem I'm having however is with the FMC. It seems that whenever I push the decimal point or the 9 key, I don't get what I'm expecting in the CDU. Pushing the decimal point gives me another numeric input, and pushing the 0 button gives me an 8? It's only the very bottom buttons that don't seem to work right, the rest of my inputs correspond with the appropriate button. Can anyone help? What am I, in all my incarnate wisdom, doing wrong? Yes, I have the service pack installed...MANY thanks for any help!Ted.

Well, i fly an average of 15-25 hours a week for SWvA... i found, given the time period, PMDG did a remarkable job on the NG's (700/600) VNAV Logic. i have seen many skeptics who did not enjoy, or did not get good results, flying the descent using VNAV. i heard many say entering winds accurately, or just plain using LVL CHG to do they're descents, which i find very labor intensive. anyways, what i do, is i just go into my STAR's chart and i look at the intersections/VOR with "expect ATC to clear you to *here*" or whatever, and i enter those into my FMC as seen... below is a picture of my edit to the MADN4 STAR FMG Trans...1st Page of the FMChttp://www.uploadhouse.com/file…

Last week I contacted Michael Greenblatt of FG-GS (whom most of you remember me raving about re. my FS9 installation). After discussing various options with him, he gave me a list of things to purchase/download to try and get FSX running on my rig.Yesterday was D-day! Once again, he destroyed every single pre-concieved notion of a correct FSX install. Instead he had me work with him on system unification and video setup. Believe it or not I have a stock fsx.cfg! Hi!The last time i saw this forum you guys were talking about the possibility of releasing the 737 NG 2.0 for both FS9 and FSX.i've recently cheked your webpage and it says 737 NGX for FSX only.Is the same product? that means there's no chance of getting the new NG for FS9 ?Hope someone could awnser that =) THX a Lot.!

I posted earlier on the loss of VOR needles on the ND of the 747. I have managed to track it down to the addon module My FS Tools. Removing the dll from the modules folder restores all ND VOR displays. I hope this is of help.Best regards,Jon

I've just taken delivery of the rather snazzy Logitech G15 keyboard, and I'm wondering if anyone has written any applets for the LCD screen. I'm no programmer, but would think it would be quite easy to get data out of the FS9 / FSX / PMDG programs for engine data, flaps position, airpseed etc, and write these to the LCD screen.

Hi All,I am looking to buy this Throttle over the weekend. Could someone who is using this with the 747 let me know what it's like? I read that the Flap lever wont work but that's not a major problem. I dont see any pushbuttons for TOGA. Also I have the reg version of fsuipc will i have issues setting up reverse thrust? Ciao,When I fly 2D i allways have to upper the view(like having the seat more highter) so I can see in a a better way the rwy while taking off /landing...There should me a parameter to change maybe in the aircraft.cfg file so that it remains for ever...Any idea wich parameter and where I must do this change?ThanxPaco

Hi PMDGI was watching Aircrash Investigation last night about Helios flight 522 and the crash they had due to being unconcious and running out of fuel. They had forgotten to check the pressurization panel which was set to manual not auto. This resulted in them recieving a warning sound which they mistook for a Take off Config Alarm as the alarm sounds for both systems were Identical. I recreated the flight last night making sure I left the panel to manual but did not recieve this alarm. Is this alarm not recreated in your 737 series?Regards Jason
