I had a second go at a real 737NG simulator and one thing they did was turn on the ND as a terrain map. Any reason why this was not done for the 737 and 747?

Hey my name is Matt.I just got the PMDG 747 and I was wondering if there is a patch for it so that I can use my GF-MCP Advanced Autopilot Module, my RP48 2" Tall Panel Module, and my GF-166 Versatile Radio Panel Module. I really like the 747 and hope that I can still use my goflight equipment. Can anyone help? Thanks,Matt

Couldn't resist this which I found in a drawer yesterday - it was copyright in 1990 but I guess should be alright now. Just remember how impressed we were with these graphics !!

Hello all.Im currently cruising across the atlantic ocean on FS...I accidentally turned LNAV off and when i tried to turn it back on the FMC says 'not on intercept heading'. Does anyone know how i can get LNAV back on??Many thanks

I purchased the PMDG / Engravity interface software and key. When installing the software there is a message saying Installation cannot continue. You do not have flight simulator installed.News to me. I have just been using it. Additionally, this is one of those boxes for which the only answer is ok. there is no option to browse to locate MSFS 9.Anyone experienced this before. I would greatly appreciate a solution. I have tried the restart computer, check all other programs stopped etc etc.ThanksMike

I am trying to fly a PMDG 737 from RJGG and although my flightplan "RJGGRJAA001.rte" is accepted when entered in Co Route (LSK-L2), when I click on LSK-1L (Origin) in the FMC, attempting to enter RJGG as my start point, I get the message "Not in database".Never had this error before - I am not even sure what database is being referred to; the airport is certainly set up OK in FS9 (and also now in Ultimate Traffic). Can't find any SID/STARs for RJGG, but maybe that's not the problem.Looked at a dozen or so threads first, but can't see anything relevant. Anyone able to help here? How do I get this airport into whatever database the FMC is searching?Many thanks,Martin

Hello everyone,I have programmed a profile for the PMDG-747 in the X52 profile editor. I get this curious problem when loaded the aircraft & profile in the sim- moving the pan view hat on the throttle causes the sim to freeze up! I have tried deleting the assignment in FS9 assignments to avoid duplication, but it didnt help. There is no problem when the profile is not loaded in the joystick.Can anyone please help??Thanks,Jay

Hello all.I have 2 quick questions for you all.I use FSNavigator with my PMDG 737 FMC and it is very good. Just select the 2 airports, create route and export to .rte file! Is there an export feature for the PMDG 747?My second question is...Is there a fuel calculator like there is for the PMDG 737? The 737 one helps me ALOT when using FS passengers so i can load the correct fuel.many thanks

The subjects of this post are excellent products without a doubt,but I have a burning desire to resolve an issue I have been experiencing for some considerable time now,so any advice would be gratefully received. When I use FS9 after switching on the PC everything works well. When I exit FS and restart it the CDU will not power up.I have two options to get it to work. I can end the process in the task manager after exiting FS and then restart FS or, restart the PC. This isn't a major problem just a bit of a nuisance that I would like to resolve. If I disconnect the CDU, FS shuts down automatically everytime. Although this started on my original PC, I have since installed…

Phil Taylor's blog at http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/ says that FSX SP2 will be available 'before Xmas', but that FSX Acceleration will contain DX9 and DX10 software, and be available late October for $30.I am now quite confused. Will 747-400X have, as a pre-req, FSX SP2?Regards,

We were told to expect the 747X within the month of September. That date has come and gone! and I have a slight feeling that the crew at PMDG were expecting this. So whats happens next? Hi Everyone. I'm in the market for both rudder pedals. I was planning on getting everything from Seitek but I've heard a few bad reviews about their rudder pedals. CH got tons of good reviews but I was wondering what the consensus is here. Can anybody tell me how nose wheel steering sysmtem works and how real pilots manage to make turns on taxiways(rudder input maybe?)I don't know, it may sound a little stupid but I really appreciate if I can get some help from you folks in this matter.Thanks Leonardo Soares

Hi, Does anyone know why animated jetways won't dock to PMDG747?They work with all other aircrafts, but keep moving back and forth and never dock to the PMDG747.This can be fixed?Thanks for any reply!Silvestre

At 75+, can't spare the time for long haul! So-to ensure "they" don't lift my virtual ATP, I've saved a Ready to Go CheckRide circuit for the Queen, at hometown CYYJ. With R27 being only 7200', this is a "do it right the first time" exercise! Just set some weather and time of day! Takes only 20 min. and generally leaves me smiling- sometimes sweaty! Hi Peeps,Just to let you know that although many of you have come up with some really good possible suggestions to my brake problem in my 737-700 I am still having problems.I am just posting this cause something slightly different has happened today and there might be a solution.....I have been flying for about 3hrs now without a problem, until I got knocked by a slight bit of wind, speeding the airplane up. The engines, quite rightly then decreased speed to slow the aircraft down and it wasn't until this point that the brakes came on. I know that this coming up version of 747X wont support Cockpit Shadows primarily/obviosly because SP2 hasn't been released yet. my questions are (and some of you might know since you are in the business and generally know how things roll...)Do we know anything whether it comes standard with DX10 SP2 upgrade (interms of automatic implementation and universal use for anything in fsworld) or will it require Devs to make adjustments to their models?
