So it looks like I'm going to have to purchase FSX to get the FS9 upgrade.. Not ideal but no big deal since I have to buy it at some point anyway. If I install FSX will it effect my fs9 install in any way? (I remember reading a post a while back where the user had problems) How much space does fsx with no addon's use? my drives are maxed with music etc, I only have 30gigs left. I have the money for a big upgrade but want to wait until the next batch of GPU's come out.ThanksRob Prest

Hello,Every time Im running the 747XF, and then select the pax version of the aircraft, my FSX hangs. Last time I couldnt even go to task manager or anything and hat to press RESET on my computer.Is this problem only occuring with me, or is it a known issue/bug?

Gentlemen ,I am building a home cockpit based on PMDG 737 and had to create a new window with FSpanel in order to have in copilot panel the PFD and ND.All is working nice except that the speed strip in PFD of the main panel is moving quicker than the strip of the copilot panel.What I have to do in order I get both moving at same speed?Also , when I try to install the 737-800/900 I get an warning saying that I must have a 737-600/700 installed , but I have the 737-600/700 installed.thanks and regardsAlberto Kunzel

Just noticed that the jet way and baggage carts don't line up on either the pax or cargo models. Easy enough to fix, but thought I'd let you know.I like the perfromance matrix document you guys did, nothing beats being honest an open about expected perfromance. My rig came pretty close to as expected on the chart (even a little better). With FSX leaving us very little for headroom, telling us what to expect in this manner is a very much appreciated.Regards'Garett

I want to first say, other than the problem I am having, the wait has been well worth it PMDG. Great product and thank-you for all the extras you have provided. The problem I am having is the numbers are not showing up on VHF radios and clock on the 400 passenger. I ran out of time last night after downloading and installing to check to see if this problem occurs with the freighters also. The numbers are showing up on the autopilot windows, just not the radios or clocks. One other thing I noticed the center panel when you cycling through using the 'A' key does not seem to function. I have the FSX Acceleration Expansion Pack and I just installed the 747FX and now when I try to load the plane I get a ctd.I have tried loading other aircraft without any problems Wilco 737,777 Level-D 767 and the PMDG 747 is the only one which causes the sim to crash,any ideas on what is causing this?The program comes up with a box saying FSX has to shut down and the tickmark is in the box to restart FSX.JeffG

For some reason all the CRT screens go dead a few secs after loading, and it's impossible to get them back on again. The FMS CDU is useable though.AFAIK there were no faults, All buses powered, standby power @ auto and battery on.

Good evening from Bristol,I have used the email link to log into the PMDG download site and have successfully started downloading the new 747 for FSX. When the download gets to 3.99MB the download box reports that the download is complete when it obviously is not. I have tried this twice on my desk top and twice on the laptop (each with diff virus/firewall software). I think this may be due to the high load on the servers right now with half the sim world trying to download the Queen. Is any one else having the same problem?RegardsJustin

I found the performance chart on your Wiki site quite interesting and I wonder if you could also add the CPU clock speed of each machine. There are significant differences in performance of the E6600 machines and I am trying to determine if this is related to the video card, ram or overclocking of the CPU. OKI bought this add on on OCt 26th, I installed it downloaded some liverys and after trying a billion different times I was never able to finish a flight because my AP LNAV was so stuffed, it would work fine until the second waypoint ( if it was on a different heading), the plane would turn right to much then left to much and yeah, it would never straighten itself up again. So people on the FTG forum said re install it.Problem number 2, I go to my add/remove software thing to remove PMDG 747 un install sucesful, I go to re install it and what do you know it cant install any of the gauges it says error acces denied. So I just ignore and see what would happen I load up FS9 …

Is there a simple way to stop unnecessary background programmes from using memory when booting FSX under Vista?Then easily cancelling the "stop order" after leaving FSX?Cliff

Hi,This may seem a bit off topic for PMDG but thanks to the new 744X I am after a sleepless night and a long day at work :-) Everything seems to work OK so far except for one...I am flying online on the VATSIM network and now that I moved to FSX, I assume that only FSinn supports online flying?I installed the FScopilot and FSInn with FSUIPC ver 4.20 but when I start FSX - it asks me first time if I want to trust FScopilot module. I answer Yes and few seconds later - FSX just disappears.Any attempt to run FSX later just show the FSX splash screen and the FSX shut down after few seconds...Once I un-install FScopilot and FSinn - everything works again.Does anyone use somethi…
