When I posted a thread here, not more than few months ago, about the urgent and important needing of rain effects in the VC, I was put in a corner by many of you, stating that this is not a Project Cars forum, stating that I was wrong and not allowed thinking that a ( snob ) PMDG owner could even care about such a ridicolous thing. Thread sunk After few weeks Dovetail released FSW whcih brought rain effects. Then FF in XP11 did the same announcing and showing in a video the power of rain effects. First off, I am not claiming that this is a bug. Right now this is just a problem I am having with P3Dv3, and it is definitely possible it's something specific to my setup. In my previous environment using P3Dv2.5 I would typically start the sim by double-clicking a stored situation file (.fxml) so that the aircraft would load at the airport/gate I desired to initiate my flight from. I began doing this since starting from the .fxml file used less total VAS than starting a flight from within the Scenario Setup screen. This worked perfectly every time. I did the reinstall. Then the updates for the 737 model first. It loads fine fly's fine, as long as I don't touch the key board. If I hit any key it throws out the whole flight program. This has never happen before and I've had your software a long time. I've been tiring for the last week to work through this problem, no resolve.

Hi everyone, Okay so... I generally get greasers in my Queen and I have developed a really good landing technique with her. That said, for various different reasons my 2 of my last three landings were what I would consider to be dangerously hard landings in the sense that it might need some inspection post flight :-). The first one was on a flight from FAOR - DGAA where I impacted terra firma at around 410fpm, and then today from FAOR - YPPH landing at 355fpm. I know that there are rules pertaining to the amount of G's sustained during a landing which is used, but can anyone give me some guidelines please? Many thanks in advance

Hi guys, it’s a hardware related question, but in my case it only applies to PMDG as I only fly the NGX. Can you guys recommend the radio panel mentioned in the title? If yes, does it work out of the box? I’m also considering the FDS Jetmax Nav/com module, but it’s quite a bit more expensive. Thanks a lot for any advice.

Good day, I recently began having issues with both the 737 and 777 completely locking up in P3D V4 whenever I would adjust the arrival section in the FMC before TOD. Normally when I input the navigational information for the flight into the FMC prior to pushback, I don't select the landing runway in the FMC until I am within 250nm of the arrival airport in case the winds have changed more than 90 degrees from when I takeoff. I tried 2 different flights with each aircraft to ensure that it wasn't a scenery, weather or terrain anomaly causing this lock up. To the Precision Manuals Development Group Team, The other evening I once again reflected on the years of enjoyment I have had while using the excellent aircraft designed/developed/produced by Precision Manuals Development Group (PMDG). As I was looking into my P3Dv4 hangar the other evening, I found myself stumbling/undecided over what type of flying I wanted to do. The agony of trying to decide on whether I wanted to fly long haul across the Pacific or over to Europe in the 747-400 QOS II or maybe the 777-300ER; or maybe I’ll take the 777-200LR and send it Max Range. Then again, maybe I’ll just take the T7 or QOS II on a cross-country (high density run). The agony …

Guys have just installed the wonderful Queen of the Skies 11 but have got a problem when using AES for pushback. Aircraft is shuddering badly and using the AES repair feature is not making any difference. Any suggestions ?

I have two monitors. The second I use for chaseplane and charts etc. When I click on this the engine sound reduces and I dont get cockpit sounds. I have 'mute on lost focus' unchecked. Do you know if there an option so i can keep full sound on Pndg aircraft regardless of where I'm clicking? Thanks.

Dear all, I do not want to get confused here, RAAS pro that came with the T7 wants to update itself, which is all good and well. On the website they mention an already updated version of RAAS pro that comes with the T7 installer and an SP1D. I am sure I did not miss a SP, except for the one for FSX:SE since I do not own FSX:SE. Is that the one meant? Do I simply download the RAAS-pro-installer for my T7 and I am set? I posted this in the update thread above, but its probably better as a separate thread. I opened the Op Center, which told me I had 3 updates. I clicked on the NGX update, got the notification that it was downloading and then the Op Center disappeared from my screen. fter some searching I discovered that Bitdefender's advanced scan had identified OC and the 738 update as malware. I had Bitdefender restore the file, but it's not in the OC anymore. Not sure what my next step is.

As PMDG is currently working on the 747-8, I thought that this would be the perfect time to make a suggestion. It seems that for quite a while there has been an ongoing problem with the use of FSUIPC to assign throttle inputs to hardware axes. I was hoping that PMDG and Peter would eventually find a solution but it doesn't look like it will happen. The only thing that has prevented me from moving all throttles assignments off of FSUIPC is that I am hooked on flying your 747 and I need the ability that FSUIPC gives me to assign multiple throttle inputs to a single axis (eg., 1>1+2 & 2>3+4). Forgive me for this question. I'm sure it has already been answered many times but wanted to be sure. Seems to me I've read on this forum that when our 744 was installed the new Airac cycle(February) should have been installed into the fmc of all previously installed PMDG aircraft also. In my case I already had the 736,7,8,9, and the 772,773. I read up on the steps to update this cycle in the Avsim forums this morning. So basically I have to delete the PMDG Navdata folders, uninstall, and reinstall the 744 selecting the repair option??? This should update the Navdata folders (Airac cycle) for all my PMDG jets? Hi all, Since the upgrades to P3Dv4 I have noticed a strange behaviour of all PMDG jets' throttles (737, 777, 747) that has not been a issue in v3.4. I use a CH Throttle Pro for my throttles and have assigned it via FSUIPC. When I manually (A/T off or in Hold mode) reduce the throttles to idle (FULLY back) the "software" throttle moves to idle too but THEN without any movement of my hardware it increases power again, approx 1-1,5cm (1/2 inch) in the model. Additionally on the 777 and the 747 with A/T armed but disenganged (the buttons left and right on the throttle) the models' throttles move the same speed as my hardware, but on the 73…

Guys I need some help I have been going round and round with support via ticket with this without a resolution. Ops center installs fine on my computer and when I try to update DC-6 and or download paint jobs for DC-6 and 747 it will not download either. It starts it and immediately stops the download. I have tried reinstalling many times even with antivirus uninstalled from my computer and still no fix. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am currently using P3D V3 and I recently launched the Operations Center to get updates. I updated all the 737 versions I have, and then when updated the 747-400 II. I was told to download the full installer, I downloaded the full 747 installer and selected the "Modify" radio button to add any fixes or updates using the full installer. After completing all the updates I shut down the Operations Center. However, when I launch the Operations Center, I am notified to update these same A/C again............it was as though I never updated? Bill Clark
