Hello I wish to confirm, is it a requirement for PMDG aircraft to have the controllers enabled in SETTINGS-CONTROLS when setting the throttle axis or can I set the throttle axis from within FSUIPC? Clive Alexander

  6. I am experiencing a weird situation with my X55 throttle, FSUIPC5, PD3v4.1 and the PMDG 777. Basically, when I advance the throttle from idle, the speedbrake arms and the reversers deploy, then as I progress the throttle, the reverses go to idle and the normal engine thrust kicks in. Is there some setting I am missing that defines a region of the throttle as 'reversers'? If so, where is it located? I have controllers disabled in P3D and run everything through FSUIPC. I don't see this with other aircraft (non-PMDG). Has anyone else experienced this? If so, were you able to fix it?

  7. Just a question regarding liveries. I am about to uninstall NGX for P3dV3 so that i can reinstall for both v3 and v4. I think I have some liveries which were installed manually, and not from the PMDG liveries manager. Presumably I will lose all liveries on uninstall. My question is: can I just install my liveries manually from copies of the textures folders that I have taken from v3 (with appropriate adjustments to aircraft.cfg files) - will these be compatible with the v4 product? Hello everyone, I have a problem with my PMDG aircrafts, as they always bank to the left no matter what the crosswind component is. The QOTSII and the T7 seem to compensate it with the AP, but the NGX apparently doesn't. I noticed that the rudder is always deflected to the left and ailerons slightly to the right with AP engaged (I don't know if this is normal, I just noticed it the first time). If I disengage the AP, the aircrafts slowly rolls left. I checked the key combination for trimming and it is not used, so I can't accidently trim the aircraft without knowing. I had tried to reinstall all PMDGs and deleted my fsx.cfg to let FSX build a new one with n…

Looking in the manual I see I should also have the following.... . Aircraft Specific Settings . Sound Settings . Livery Downloader . Version What do I need to get the Operations Center working correctly. The only APP I have is the Operations Center Updater which keeps telling me I am up to date Tks Don

  10. Hello in my 777 and 747 im getting issues with overhead lights not working.. Is it because of the spotlights trial Ive installed for the fsl 320 ??

  11. All, If you have bought newer airport sceneries that claim to be P3D v4 native (or have been upgraded) and do not incur the DL performance penalty because they are native, would you mind sharing them here? The holiday sales season is upon us and discount or not, I really would like to buy knowing that I will not incur the penalty. From my own experience the following vendors native V4 perform well with DL: Simaddons Pacific Simulations I have seen significant degradation with some V4 airports from Aerosoft (from reading posts) with DL enabled, hence my ask. Thanks in advance

  12. Captains, We have been fairly quiet the past few months as we finally took some time off to recharge after releasing the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II. Wait. What? We released that back in January?! True. And immediately upon release we cancelled the normal post-development break for the team in order to have all hands on deck to convert our product lines to make them compatible with Prepar3D v4... This pushed our workflow well into the summer, and by the time it was over all of us were in good need of a vacation. So now that the PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster is out, the 747-400 is updated and the product lines for Prepar3D v4 are stable, the teams ha…

With the recent release of the FSLabs A320 for P3D V4, FSLabs are now setting the standard for realism within the flight simulation platform. From using more realistic flight dynamics and flight model to using custom sounds that change depending on the area of the aircraft you are in. Will PMDG be implementing any of these features and attempt to reset the standard, atleast for Boeing/non Airbus aircraft?

  16. Hello Everyone. At present I use FSX running on Windows 7 with numerous addon Airports and PMDG aircraft 737, 777, 747. This is not fixing something which is broke, however, my question is, will FSX successfully operate on Windows 10 as it does on Windows 7. Many Thanks. Richard Welsh.

Just got a new computer (I7 7700K & Asus 1080ti) using windows 10 Home. All appeared to install fine. It activated ok, initialized fine. I try to look around or view outside and I get a window that FSX has stopped working. I am not new to PMDG aircraft but I'm not a genius at computers though I kinda know my way around them. I use the latest FSUIPC right now. I do have PMDG a/c on my old PC but I doubt that I will use it again. Can it be some kind of copy right scheme going on. My gut is telling me Win. 10 is the culprit. BTWW I ran repair twice but no help. Do you think one of you fine gents might give me a hand?

  18. Hi, Appreciate this is slightly off topic, but I'm currently putting together my personal xmas list.. and I am consdering moving from my current setup to a triple monitor solution. Information you might find useful: Haswell i7 running at around 4.2GHz 24GB RAM Windows 10 Pro 1080TI The current screens I have are a 1080p 42" TV.. and a 22" wide (I think) LG LCD.. the LG is quite old.. I'm just wondering what setups people have got and if they have any recommendations.. I generally fly PMDG, FSLabs and Majestic A/C... rarely.. GA these days.. Some have suggested I get an ultra wide screen.... others have said get 3 28" screens 1440p.. oth…

Just an idea which occurred to me. PMDG have obviously taken time to programme detailed specific failures into their aircraft. These are so detailed it is sometimes hard to pick up what has failed.... What would be kind of neat are some additional failure scenario's... So for instance a bird strike, may cause blade damage, or even shatter which could go from causing vibration, to an uncontaminated failure damaging hydraulic systems. A flat tyre may cause debris to be thrown into the gear bay damaging valves... A door failure may be a small leak, or may mean a cargo door has left the aircraft and hit an engine on the way etc.. I'm sure there are plenty o…

I've had this issue with both of the MD-11 and the 747v3 lately. I'm not sure why but the gross weight keeps changing back and forth between two different weight levels. Its would you would expect if you added more fuel midflight and kept getting inconsistent fuel predictions in the FMC, except I'm not changing any weight levels once I load the panel state. This happened right when I landed the MD-11. I got the green "ZFWCG out of range" message at the top. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

It has been a while since I added a livery to my PMDG 747-400. When I pull up the Operation Center 747-400 or 737-900, it does not list any options for adding liveries, just to purchase on the right screen. Nothing on the left box of the menu except the type of aircraft. Click on that and there is nothing. I wish I could post the image of what I get to make it more clear what the problem is. The 777 lists the liveries for some reason. Cfoley

Good evening, I watched some videos of QualityWings' 787 and I noticed how smooth the wing flex is. I always taught that this was only achievable in X-Plane because of how FSX and P3D work (like limited number of animations). I'm just wondering now why PMDG's aircraft don't have the same smooth effect? Is it because you don't see those wings very much anyway or because you wanted to focus on more important aspects of the aircraft? (just to be clear, it's not that the current wing flex is complete garbage but it just doesn't flex as smoothly as the 787's)
