PMDG General Forum

Hello, I just bought my flirst PMDG J41 Jetstream. After downloading the aircraft. In the VC cockpit panel, I keep seeing four pale blue flashing screens flashing in sequence. The center point is in the center of the cockpit and occurs in each section of the screen. Has anybody seen this before? Or knows how to make this fix for this software. Thanks, Jzatofl

I have been going back and forth with PMDG with an issue with ops center not working and we have come to a dead end I'll quote what they found the issue is after looking at my cab file: "There is something on that original computer that has made some strange registry entries for Prepar3D and that typically only happens with the Estonia Migration tool. Unfortunately cleaning it up is not an easy process since its core Windows registry files. If Uninstalling and Reinstalling Prepar3D didn't correct the issue then the only other thing I can offer to clean that up is a reformat which obviously isn't something to take lightly. This must have been asked a zillion times but the search came up blank. I purchased 737NGX on my old computer. I now wish to download it again to my new PC. I have the registration key of course. I cannot find anywhere that tells me how I do this.

How come sometimes the CDU will take something like RW24R in the Fix page and other times it won't??? In the case of the latter I use the Airport as a Fix to draw 4 and 10 NM circles around it...

This is so frustrating, I have a brand new P3DV3.4.22.19868 install and have redownloaded all my PMDG products, 747, NGX T777 today and everytime I load a PMDG aircraft it gets to 100% loaded and bang P3D has stopped working, if I uninstall PMDG the sim is fine there are multiple errors in the event viewer which I have no idea how to show them except for this one, the system has had a new mother board and SSD fitted and a reinstall of the operating system, win10, I've tried everything I can think of as long as I dont have any PMDG products installed the sim is fine, a day and a half now and no progress, I sorry I can't be more specific. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has had any issues with the Hobart ILS 12 profile being inaccurate on FSX? I'm using the freeware addon for Hobart found on Fly Away Simulations. When on ILS 12 the aircraft always seems to be too high but the glideslope is showing on the correct profile. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Lucas.

Greetings All, Ok, here's a weird one: after maybe an hour, sometimes half-an-hour, while flying a long-haul flight in a 777 or 747v3, FSX will just minimize to the task bar and pause itself. I used to have this issue years ago, but it had stopped. Now, it is behaving like this on every flight. As an example, I'll take of from KSFO to YSSY in real-time (weather being AS16) and reach initial cruise altitude. Then, sometimes I'll hit the bunk (literally), but when I awaken and "head back to the cockpit", FSX will be minimized to the task bar, and upon waking it up and maximizing, I find that I've only traveled maybe 500nm and have ~6,000nm to go! in other words, i…

Captains, We have just pushed a few small, cleanup updates that should be propagating out in the PMDG Operations Center as we speak. (It takes a few hours to reach all sectors of the globe, so if you don't see them this instant, don't panic- it just takes a bit to boil out there...) The 777-200LR/F got a very small update that was focused on cleaning up a couple of items that we captured during research for a pending update on the 747- and since the item affected all product lines, the 777 update became necessary. Whenever I start up my PMDG B737-800 NGX from a cold and dark state, I get to the INS set to align, I click it over and get alarms. The light flashes back and forth between ALIGN lights. The left IRS says "on DC" and the right IN DC light is out. The alarm persists. I try to hit the FMS button on the FMS and it doesn't work. What gives here?

Guys, Kyle, the pictures in the OC for the J-41 P3Dv4 version show the FMC in the Cockpit.. As this is not the case you probably should remove those pictures as you (IMHO) make a wrong promise with that... people will see it, buy it and then complain for a reason... My 2 cents =) Cheers Marc

I have one question, Since PMDG 747-8 wont include the EFB for obvious reassons(price to high,alltough they have EFB https://i.imgur.com/KLG6fXH.png for what ever reason),I was wondering will it include this feature like the QW787 I dont now how its called(maybe a/p diagram )? Decided not to post this in a specific aircraft's subforum since I'm having this issue across all PMDG planes So a while back I decided to move to P3Dv4. I usually never fly at night so I haven't noticed this issue earlier, but it seems that none of the lights for the overheads work on any PMDG planes. In the 737 and 777, the overhead panel looks completely dark while all the switches, buttons, dials and whatnot look okay whenever the dome light is on. In the DC-6 (amazing job on that, btw), the red light works on the captain's and F/O's overheads on the sides, but the red light for the overhead has no effect. Robert, Are there any plans in the future to produce a flight model compatible with cockpit software like ProSim or SimA? Or even one produced by PMDG for home cockpit builders? I am in the process of purchasing and building a 737 home cockpit simulator, and have done a lot of reading on posts by other builders. It seems the there is a very high demand for the PMDG 737NGX model compatibility. This is more of just a curiosity question than a product development question. Sincerely, Stephen

Hello, I bought that PMDG 777 and 737NGX [I got the 777 from the PMDG website and the 737 from Aerosoft] I had activated the 777 when I got it back in December 2016, however reinstalling FSX because it keeps crashing,I haven't got the activation window so I'm just wondering how do I activate it?

Hello all, my word not allowed bitdefender is acting like... uh... well, an word not allowed. After weeks and weeks of updates for PMDG and TFDI, all of a sudden it decides to stop updates from happening.(I have to find another solution and try to balance security and functionality) After rechecking my exclusion list, it is working again but just wanted to do a spot check. So my question: should the J4100 appear in the product list at this time (counting the seconds for this one)? I realize it isn't ready yet but as I recall the Queen was listed even before release.

Being is PMDG does not offer a printed manual anymore I am thinking about going to Staples or Kinkos and have them print it out for me, My question is this, on the bottom of the pages it says "do not duplicate" is that meaning not to copy it or is it just something they threw on there to make it seem like a real airplane manual

Hello, I was reading something about different airframes of the 747-8 having different MTOW's and a certain "Performance Improvement Package" that reduced the overall airplane weight by around 10,000 pounds, which allowed Boeing to also increase the range to about 8,200NM. I couldn't find any official boeing document other than the "Airplane Characteristics for airport planning" which did state 2 different MTOW's under the 747-8f: 442,253 Kg. (975,000 lbs.) and 447,696 Kg. (987,000 lbs.).
