Just done a flight to Zakinthos airport RW34 - fun!!!! oh yes :( No ils there and vor/ndb not inline with airport so an absolutely manual approch as such. Only thing I found was the speed restrictions - I had 250kts at 10k then 245kts at 3000+ but in descent the MD accellerated to 273kts and I got a speeding ticket lol.I found if I set the speed up in the performance page all is ok though - the default being too fast there of course. Used edit to make it 240 and like magic, next time it worked a treat.Seems it's ALL in the preparation... :( Only thing is I thought an altitude constraint that says 3000+ meant 3000 to 3500ft but the fms seemed not to care as the next on the…

Hi all,First of all sorry for my bad English.I saw on the Singapore Airlines Cargo site that a Boeing 747-400 has a cargo capacity of 13 tonnes.My question is, is the 13 tonnes includes the passenger baggages? Or it has another extra of 13 tonnes of cargo capacity?Thanks!!!Regards,David

I would just like to forward the following bit of information to the team at PMDG!Yesterday I showed a 2d panel screenshot of a night-time CAT III approach in FS9 in the 747 to a friend of mine who's an avid aviation enthusiast - surely someone who can easily tell real world and simulation apart.The first thing he asked is whether he was looking at a real picture or a screenshot!I think that is the ultimate compliment that can be paid to you people who bring us these superb products.

When I try to insert a SID from LFPG into the flightplan FSX crashes. It doesn't appear to occur when inserting SIDs for other airports only this one for some reason. I have the latest AIRAC cycle 0903.I am using the MD11.Any ideas?

In the PDMG 737 NG it is possible to step through the waypoints shown in the 737 navigation display from a function in the FMS.I assume something similar can be done from the MD11 MDCU and I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to do it,Best wishes, John Morgan

Ok so i was going from EHAM to EDDF (yeee a short flight for the MD11) and i was sent into a holding over GED VOR. Well so i put in the holding like couple of times before that day and expected to have a 3 minutes turn. After i was done with putting in the data, it showed me some waypoint which was about 2000nm far away. why? my airac is 0902 (just upgraded to 0903, maybe its cause of some bad files or whatever)tebin

Hi Folks.I still cannot get the A/T to arm as per Timothy's tutorial. This is the very first flight and the V speeds are set manually using the SPD REF knob. This is part of the Before Takeoff checks and after the line. It reads...dah dah dah Engine Start Switches..CONT, Autothrottle...ARM except it doesn't. The switch will not toggle but the PFD display flashes briefly.I am assuming that they should arm okay without input from the FMS as that is what the tutorial says. I know that folks have replied to my previous post regarding this but it still does not work. Everything else is as per the checklist up to this point.Any further help appreciated.Regards...Kenps. Hi there,Bought the PMDG 747X a few weeks ago, so far really enjoying, excellent software. However, the altitude on the PFD shows the incorrect altitude and when I press 'B' to set it properly, it briefly shows it for a second or so then goes back to normal. So when on the ground, it shows it as -7,000 ft. The altimeter shows it correctly however. Many thanks,Justin.

Can someone kindly inform me as to how I input the ADF2 settings in the Nav/Rad page of the FMC using a Flightplan I create via FSBuild? I have followed the Tutorial several times now,and have made several flights with the par excellence MD-11,but am fairly sure that the ADF2 setting of 316 at LSK 3R in the Tutorial does not apply to other flights other than the Tutorial or flights from EGLL using that particular SID.I can input the settings at LSK 1L and LSK 4L with information derived from the FSNavigator airport display but leave the ADF2 blank as any bearing information I have tried to input at ADF2(LSK 3R)results in 'Out Of Range' error flags.I must be doing somethin…

Don't worry it's not another request for a planner or charts. I have read the many posts of fuel planning for the MD11 but I can't seem to get my head round exactly what to do with the planning via the FMC method. (Maybe I'm just having a bad day!)Can someone please do a mini tutorial of exactly what to do in the FMC to get the right fuel? Just a quick question hereIm doing a flight from EHAM to CYYZ right now, and with GPS INHIBITed, i had received IRS ONLY NAVIGATION with IRS NAV on the ND, fine.....however going south of Iceland, the Radios auto-tuned IMG VOR which was over 246nm away and although i wasnt receiving neither radial nor dme, it switched from IRS NAV to R/I NAV......is that supposed to happen?EDIT sorry FS9 MD11

I've flown the tutorial about half a dozen times now, including the newly updated version and still cannot getting the autoland to work correctly. The flight operates properly all the way to the runway 14 localiser capture, but then veers away from the runway. In other words, things are perfect until halfway down page 29 of the tutorial. At that point altitude keeps decreasing but the aircraft does not follow a path to the runway. I'm at a loss. I hope that someone has had this problem and learned how to have things come out right.I could sure use some help on this little problem. Otherwise, a great plane and loads of fun to fly.Jack Fentress

Hi all I have a problem which I have been spending the last 3 nights trying to resolve.....with no joy! :( I have owned the PMDG 744 & 744F models for FS9 for nearly a year now. I downloaded a few add on liveries from the PMDG site straight away and have been using them from the start with no issues at all. The other day I thought it would be good to add to my fleet and I downloaded a few aircraft from Avsim. Of course these need to be manually installed (as opposed to PMDG's .exe files) which seemed fairly easy to do. So I put the texture folders into the relevant "PMDG-texture" folder. Made the entry into the associated aircraft.cfg file ensuring it is in numerical …
