Just wondering which European addons people are using that they can recommend. I fly from the UK and have most of the main UK2000 Extreme airports. They are fantastic. However, I'm looking for some European airports that i can use to make some short flights in the NGX (1-1.5 hours flight time)Can anyone reccomend any? Schipol? CDG?

Hi Everybody, Goodmorning everybody (If your local time is also 07:55 ;-) I think that everybody knows about the terrible attacks at 07/23/2011 in Norway :-(I think it would be nice, that if we are downloading the 737Ngx, everybody holds one minute of silence. Please dont think that i order everbody to do it, but i think its a nice way to respect all the victims, and the familys, and friends from them. I wish everybody a wonderfull live, and great flying time with the 737Ngx. Greetings Matthias, Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

Last week my bank (always looking out for my well being they are) cancelled my debit/VISA card without telling me.Four days, two phone calls, and five phone reps later my new debit card was ordered with an ETA of up to two weeks. I already transferred money from my bank to my Paypal account balance ahead of time, but will I still be able to complete the transaction even though Paypal *technically* doesn't have a credit card on file anymore (thanks bank!) as a backup? I knew I should have demanded a rush delivery on the new debit card...

Phew.... I've JUST finished my upgrade. Haven't even overclocked yet... All I have to do now is install FSX and await the THE addon of the year. Did I say year...? Sorry - meant to say decade If the NGX is on time, I probably won't actually install anything else at all for a while - just run vanila!

Nasa's just provided a nice shot of their two modified 747 that used to ferry the Space Shuttles in formation. This can be seen on their facebook page (no need to register) : Quite a nice view of these aircrafts with those very specific modification done to be able to ferry the shuttle, I think it must have been quite a great task for Boeing to come with such airplanes that have a really completely different use than other 747. Cheers. Aurélien

Now I wonder if PMDG will have a prize for the first peson to download the NGX, maybe a flight in the real aircraft to compare the new model against the real thing. I believe many simmers will be taking the day off work tomorrow so they can stay awake all night glued to the the PMDG site keeping a close eye on the PRODUCT page under B737NGX which has had some strange "flickering" today. They are getting ready to remove "Coming Soon" sign and replace it with "Available Now",

i came accross this 777 video on utube and noticed a feature of the aircraft i have never known about before namely "pilot response" (4:30). This message appears on the upper eicas after a period of inactivity on the flightdeck finally followed by and alarm. Im not sure how long this takes to become active perhaps someone will know the answer. Also at the end of the video (8:50) is a close up of the PFD on landing and one of the best and clearest examples i have ever seen. Normally you get to see this from a distance perhaps and its hard to make out as well as this one. ideal reference material for the new PMDG 777 A vic

If anyone has any ideas on where I can find a tutorial to create paints for the MD 11. The image below is how far I've gotten but the paint is still messed up in FSX. I have 1 created my livery, 2. loaded the template, 3. cut and pasted the livery to the template after flattening the main image and using multiply to hover over and select appropriatly. I then save it as a BMP and use DXTBMP to transfer it to a DDS, the problem is when I load it in FSX all the textures are on the bottom of the wings and the side is all messed up, any ideas?

I noticed that on some charts there is a Maltese cross at the Final Approach Fix andI assume ( correct me if I am wrong ) that this indicates the start of the Final Approach Fix.( see screen shot at Lompo ) What puzzles me is that some charts do not show this symbol.( Ex Geneva airport,ILS05 and ILS23 ) Is there a reason if any ? Hi everyone, While we are all helplessly waiting for August 4th I thought I'd create an airline just for it. I present to you: Lufthansa Express, an airline that is pretty much what its name stands for. Very short intervals between flights, very low costs and simplified ticketing methods. The airline will operate almost everywhere in Europe. From large cities like Frankfurt and London, to secondary destinations like Ibiza and Innsbruck.Decided to make a ticket in photoshop:Along will this fictional livery, I will also paint the regular Lufthansa livery and shortly after will do TAROM, in case you were wondering about those. :wink:Thoughts? :(

I don't know if this has been posted already, but I found a link to this on Facebook. It seems that the pilots of the 748 got bored with flying in a circle, so they decided to do something different. Here it is on Flightaware: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE523/history/20110802/1330Z/KPAE/KPAE In case you don't see it, here it is in FSBuild: Killing time on an endurance flight? Hello, Here I came an idea for PMDG with their future products, to make the aeroplane Virtual Cockpit only without modeling the exterior. This will reduce large amount of developing time and also the 'real' simulators cost millions don't come with an exterior, do they? Maybe it's not a good idea for some people but we can always 'merge' with other freeware products, such as POSKY, considering they've already got an awesome 777 exterior. Just my 2 pennies,Cheers

I know Ryan and others had said that we should really be trying to ask issues not pertaining to PMDG in other areas of the forum, which I tried to do in the hardware, mobo, cpu forum. However, I have had little to response. Since I am literally building a new computer for the NGX, I thought that there was relevance to asking in this forum, plus - I know I'll get quick responses. This is pasted from my exact thread in the hardware forum. Thanks in advance gusy!"Ok, I'm just about to pull the trigger on a new build and wanted to get some advice about a few things. I"m going to be installing the Intel Sandy Bridge 2600k and wanted to get some feed back about which mother boa…
