Hello, A bit off topic here bur we are all pretty interested in the 777 so here is some real world news. My father is good friends with the owner of airliners.net and was invited to a meeting at Qantas. He was actually taken for a one on one talk with someone. He was told that Qantas have some of their pilots training with Cathay Pacific. GE's leasing division have ordered 8 777-300ERs I think and they believe that 6 will go to Qantas. This comes after Qantas post poning the delivery of their next couple of A380s to 2019 which is basically a cancellation. Hello, You may have read my other topic but this is more a hardware topic. I have got most of my PC done but there are still a few things on my wishlist to get. What I am asking for is which would give me the most performance boost. I am probably going to upgrade to Ivy Bridge next year but if I find performance to be good enough then I will wait for a bit. Just wondered if any one knew how they came up with the Brown/Tan color they use. I think it is butt ugly. Was there some kinda study done or is it just random? I love Boeing and their planes just look at the NGXs cockpit color scheme and it looks beautiful and the others blah.

I wanted to post this in a high traffic area so more folks could test look at post #33 here http://forum.avsim.n...25#entry2068674 I can get this error in orbx scenery with a pmdg or other high end ac constantly, adding the line MissingLibraryAlert=1 to the scenery section of the fsx cfg seems to stop fsx from crashing now when the error occurs, instead I'm prompted that an error occurred then after saying OK my flight will continue, so far this is working great in dealing with the g3d.dll, it does not stop it but at least I can continue my flight, Thanks to Guenter

Hey guys I have an XFX GTX 260 video card with two dvi ports. When I was on windows XP all I had to do was go to the nVidia control panel and set the displays to equal one horizontal monitor. When I go to the nvidia control panel in windows 7 I see no such option. I put FSX in windowed mode and drag to the second monitor but the second monitor is just black. Hope you guys can help.

Good evening I have finally saved up enough money to get a new computer. I already have a good monitor so all I need is a good tower along with mouse and keyboard. I talked to Ryan awhile ago and he told me my it mite be time to upgrade from my 2007 gateway. So if Ryan is out there I would love some advice. In FSX I cannot the cabin lights when in an exterior view. A very strange view when flying at night to see dark windows. All the external lights show up. Could not find any mention in the "PMDG Keyboard Command Assignments" how to assign a key for these lights. All my other pay-ware aircraft have these lights showing so I presume that PMDG also has them. Where are they.

I just thought I'd throw this out there...I bought the Captains Manual Set because I didnt need the diagrams, posters, charts, etc included in the Chief Pilots Set. But...One thing that I would like, and that apparently is not available separately, is the "[Annunciator] Lights and Switches Guide". I don't know what you (PMDG) think about this, but if this was offered as an item that could be purchased separately, at around ~$25, I think you'd have plenty of people interested. I know I would be.

On a recent flight online with my NGX (I fly with VATSIM), I realised that the weather I could see was not what everyone else was seeing/experiencing and not what the metar for the airport was that I was flying into. I just got my hands on the 737NGX and was following the installation directions. It suggests to install FSX into it's own directory (one that is different than the default directory) ... mine is already installed in the default. Should I uninstall/re-install or do I need to wipe my machine clean, re-install OS and then FSX ? Or is it really not that big of a deal ?

Hey guys, as the title already says, I want to know how I can change the default aircraft into the NGX as I get a freeze everytime I want to change the aircraft in the free flight menu of fsx.The only thing that seems to help is forcing FSX to close via the taskmanager twice, the third time I open FSX, I have no problems at all. Anyone any ideas how to help me? I did the tweaking as discribed in the intoduction and I installed FSX before new on a formated own drive.The "freeze hot fix" didn't help as well. Hi All I do defrag my C drive quite regularly, but today I realised that I can defrag specific folders. So I defragged the FSX folder (and the appdata folder). My question is merely one of curiosity. Is defragging the entire 140GB C drive equivalent to defragging just the FSX folder. i.e. there is no difference in either method, they perform the same? I have read that after install, FSX is highly fragmented, and although I have defragged my C drive several times since installing FSX, I have never specifically defragged my FSX folder. I wonder if I will see a modicum of improvement?? I use defraggler to defrag. What are your thoughts? Thanks, Paul

Most likely posting this subject under the wrong topic heading but I did see the subject raised here previously, unable to track it down. What is the fix when during reinstall you see a notification saying .... "you have reach your limit with the number of times you have reinstalled FSX and your Product Key is not longer valid to register" Just doing a reinstall of FSX Deluxe on a new system. Unaware that you only have a number of re-installations of FSX. Can any of you guys advise what the fix is for this.

Why is it that my new NGX runs better and more smooth with the slider above to the right ? Sad that i have to put the slider back in EGLL otherwise it will give me OOM and CTD but can someone explain why FSX runs smoother with better FPS with Autogen on MAX???? i7-950@4,2ghzHD5870 1GBRaptor 300GBWin 7 64 Thanks Michael
