I'm currently flying GEX scenery and getting pretty good performance with this aircraft but would like to also use ORBX. Anyone flying the 737NGX in ORBX scenery? If so how far down did you have to put your scenery settings to make it flyable? CaptMac

Hi there one and all... Has anyone else suffered problems with TrackIR 5 Pro - PMDG 744 and FS9 VC mode? What I mean is that on several occasions so far when using the above setup I can get so far into a flight then almost by magic and sometimes when switching between VC mode and another view such as fly-by for example - the VC freezes the aircraft engines die and the aircraft falls out of the sky once the inevitable stall parameters have been met. Funny thing is though - I can still click any button within VC whilst waiting to die and I know this because I hear an audible sound however, the button doesn't move in/out or up/down. Hi Guys, I need some opinions on whether I should upgrade or not, I currently have i7 950 overclocked to 4.2ghz with GTX470 SC and FSX generally performs very well. I'm just wondering if the upgrade from GTX470 to GTX570 is worth it or not. Will I see some sort of performance increase with the 570? I really appreciate your opinions. Thanks!

Hi all, reading these and other flightsim-forums and seeing that PMDG is apparently planning to make a 777 next, I keep asking myself why everybody seems to be so much into heavy long-haulers? Bigger == better? I'm a real-time flyer. I don't like the idea of having to sit through >4h legs which are typical for aircraft like the 777. Plus, there seems to be quite a bunch of high-quality heavies out there already. I'd personally like to see more along the lines of the 737NGX, maybe finally a proper PMDG-quality simulation of an A320 (my personal top priority after the 737 since currently nobody seems to be able to do a proper A320 for FSX), or ERJs, CRJs or a Q400. I could not figure out a way to find out if I purchased the 74 for fs9 directly from you or someone else. I am almost positive it was direct from PMDG because they had my old login email stored enabling me to get my password. I clicked through your site and could not find any record of my purchass but this was like 4 ears ago or so that I made this purchass. I filled out a ticket and did not get a response, this was several days ago. I have a problem with FSX, which is that when I run it in dx9 mode it consistently does strange things with the graphics (black screen, skeleton planes, etc); in other words, I can't use the simulation in dx9. In dx10, however, it works just fine. I can switch between full screen and windowed without any problems, and, generally, there are few if any problems. Can anybody help me with this? I read everywhere that I should never run fsx in dx10 because it is buggy and slow, but I find that dx9 is buggy, although it looks prettier when it works, which typically isn't for very long. I have several PMDG planes purchased in the past, and plan on buying the NGX eventually, so I know I need a good computer. We all love the magic PMDG brings to FSX and I see FSX being around for many years to come, so the question is how many potential aircraft are on PMDG's possible list.

Getting a new machine suited around the i7-990X processor OC to 4 GHz. I've established that this will run FSX well but I need the most powerful processor going as I've got loads of stuff besides FSX.Can anyone name another processor I could have instead.Second question. Level-D 767 or Captain Sim. Systems and depth wise?

G'day... Just recently I've tried to video a flight of my pmdg 744 whilst completing some circuit training at YMML in FS9. All went well until I tried to review the saved FS9 video file, and guess what, I can watch the flight from every view but, the sound is awful because all you can really hear over the engine noise is the numerous configuration alerts blasting out for the total flight duration. This is similar to saving a flight and re-loading it at a later date however; at least once the aircraft has loaded all of the settings saved the alerts disappear. What am I doing wrong? Or Do I just need to use a program such as FRAPS to solve the problem? FS9 has always been g…

I found out that the link to the fuel planner in the downloads section was broken It would be nice if you could fix this PMDG :)
